Bigg Boss 7: Armaan Kohli arrested by Lonavla Police

Three days after British-Pakistani actress Sofia Hayat filed a complaint against actor Armaan Kohli for allegedly assaulting her during their stay at a Lonavla-based bungalow while filming the reality show Bigg Boss, the Lonavla city police arrested Kohli on Monday. Although the Santacruz Police had initially booked Kohli for assault, the Lonavla city police have added charges of sexual harassment against the actor.

Vishnu Pawar, inspector, Lonavla city police said, "We obtained the CCTV footage of the bungalow and upon scanning it, we could verify Hayat's allegations. Kohli was subsequently arrested on Monday night."

A week after being evicted from the reality show, Hayat and her lawyer approached the Santacruz police late on Thursday last week and lodged a complaint against him. Hayat, in her statement to the Santacruz police, accused Kohli of using words and gestures that outraged her modesty and assaulting her during her stay in the Bigg Boss house.

The Santacruz Police, after registering a case, transferred the complaint to their counterparts in Lonavala, who conducted further probe in the matter.

The Santacruz Police had booked Kohli under sections 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means), 504 (intentional insult to provoke breach of peace) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to outrage the modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code.

The Lonavla Police further added IPC sections 294 (obscene acts and songs), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 354 a (sexual harassment) in the complaint against Kohli.

When did Armaan sexually harass Sophia? Can anyone elaborate on that?

the news is coming that he was arrested on Monday night... I don't know exactly what time that means, but I checked roughly about 8.30pm (Time in India) and he was sitting in the bathroom...

I think that he needs a bit of a reality shock, but tbh I don't know why this didn't happen earlier... I guess this now gives Kushal a ticket to the final... If Armaan is out now then I don't think there will be a mid-week eviction and Aijaz will go on Saturday... the remaining contestants will be the final 5...

Arman abused people verbally but did not anyone (asif and sopia cases were accidental ).. but he was respectful towards girls in BB House

I think the cops has asked to see all the videos of armaan and had asked questions to all the HMs someone might have mentioned about what he said about elli in first week the tearing her clothes and stuff ? The charges that are put on him isn't only in sophiya case but of what all he did in the house
