After seeing Pramad's true colors, although I never believed that khansi ki dukaan, I feel like he's the one who sent that MMS and Kusum knew about it! Here's what I think their plan was...
Pramad saw Saras's name on the wedding card. He confronted Kusum and offered to help her. That lovestruck chic saw a ray of hope and took his help. He sent the MMS and she faked the whole "I'll sacrifice my love for my sister!" drama. When Saras went to see her on the wedding day, she stalled him to make sure that her would-be in-laws see them together. She knew that if the marriage breaks everyone will blame Saras. Then she did her rona-dhona and as she expected Kumud decided to give her what she wanted to calm her down. They separated Saras and Kumud. Pramad got revenge from Saras by tearing both of them apart and Kusum got Saras, the supposedly love of her life!
It was a perfect plan! A perfect catch! But they made a huge mistake by forgetting that Saras has his own brain that still works. And unlike the rest of the family, he used his brain and their plan backfired! Kusum failed miserably.. so she tried to commit suicide! Pramad saw yet another perfect opportunity to gain the Desais' trust by supporting Kumud! When Danny got arrested, he called his father and helped Saras and Danny to keep them under his hand!
This is just my view.. I could be wrong! But if I'm wrong then why did Kusum make such a fuss about getting married to Danny? She was willing to marry Mohan, a total stranger, for her sister's sake! Then what's wrong with Danny? Agar kisi aur se hi shaadi karni thi toh Mohan ho ya Danny kya farak padta hai? Socho socho!!
