PART 4

Maan stared at his beautiful wife from the glass partition. He could not believe that after more than a year she was here so close to him yet so far. He could not stop the smile that was lingering on his lips seeing the way she was explaining something to his secretary and few others. Yes, she was working with him or say under him as an assistant. It was a tough decision for him to take where it involved high risk of losing his wife forever but they did. Yash was quite happy seeing her normal even after meeting Maan though she was stressed whenever his name was mentioned but overall there was a positive sign. He had a long discussion on her treatment with the senior doctors and finally they arrived at a conclusion that with proper monitoring they could take this risk and make her face Maan and the kids more often. It was about 2 months she was working with Maan and was friendly with him. Each staff member of KC was very careful about her presence and every single thing from office that reminds about her was taken away and she was only addressed as Ms. Geet Handa. Though it was very difficult for her as few days she was only stressed with the environment and found KC familiar and felt like she knew it but Yash was there and he had made her believe that it was just coz she had lost her memory. Yash also had warned Maan not to do anything wrong in the flow of emotions and was asked to stay away most of the time when he would find her in pressure. She even had fainted again after two days in KC and Yash had literally called the treatment off but the senior doctors had finally given their verdict as this would only be helpful in getting her memory back though there was risk but seeing her facing it was a big relief for them.

Sir he was still lost in her thoughts that he did not even realize she was standing right in front of him in his cabin. Sir.. are you ok she asked slowly placing a hand on his shoulder making him jolt out of his thoughts. He looked at her and then back at her cabin as if he was dreaming. Wat are you seeing there Sir? she asked seeing him lost in her cabin. Sir she called again not getting any reply and tats when he realized that she was right with him. I asked wat are you trying to find in my cabin. Main tho yaha hoon near you then wats so interesting in my cabin tat you cant take your eyes off.

Na...kuch nahi he said trying not to look in her eyes as they always hypnotized him. Did you finish the work I gave he questioned her walking towards his chair while Geet just kept staring at his back. She would most of the time find him lost like this and he would always avoid seeing her that would hurt her deep. The pain of his ignorance was much more tat the loss of her memory but she would control herself knowing that she would not put herself into much stress or else she would have to resign this job. Initially she had decline the offer when Meera asked her to do something so that she could put her talent of interior deigning into use but when she got to know that Meera wanted her to work for KC that belonged to Maan she could not stop herself. Since the first day she met him she was feeling as if a bond was tying her with him. She would find ways to hear his voice and have a glimpse of it even if tat troubled her mind and Ammy was always there for her rescues.

Geet, are you done with designs she heard him ask again and nodded for a yes. Sir, but there's still a problem he raised his eyes hearing her. I mean wat if we think about a park for the housing society.. it would definitely be a good fetch for the buyers with families. Maan smiled as he remembered how she fought with him when he wanted to buy a bungalow in Shimla where he had first seen her. She was adamant to buy only one with a big and huge garden so that their kids would get to play outside and near their eyes.

Maan sir there's nothing funny in it she said getting annoyed seeing his smile. And if you don't like it the please say instead of smiling and making fun of me. Maan chuckled hearing her but she fumed and threw the file on his table and turned to leave but was held right near the door by Maan. Itna gussa she pouted still with her back to him. She struggled to free her hand but he held it tight pulling her closer. His closeness always affected her and she would try not be in close proximity with him.

Ammy ki Princess ko tho bahut gussa aata hain he teased her even more but she only pouted hearing Ammy's name. Samjhe aap. He smiled though she never questioned him about his wife and her own kid's mother. That question was far beyond and when such words came from her mouth he would avoid them answering.

Nahi baba bahut raat ho juki thi na.. and Ammy was also disturbing Mehar so I had to cut the call. Mehar's name pulled the ache back into her heart. She started to get pale as whenever she met Mehar she would try hard to know the little girl but she was beyond her. She had even tried to make her talk but she would just stare at her and that would kill her more. Maan saw the sudden change in her color and he instantly changed the topic.

Geet... waise your idea sounds too good then your angrez bimbo sasha Maan said handing her the file and she just looked at him. I know that I look sexy and hot but right now m a father to two kids and you are working for me... so yeh staring ka kaam baad mein karna and get the changes done right now.

Sir she entered his cabin with the bag in her hand. She smiled grinning to herself and getting no response she entered only to see him with closed eyes resting on his chair. Her heart stopped fearing that something happened to him but then she chuckled seeing him sleeping like a small baby on his chair. She slowly kept the bag on the table and walked near him. Her eyes refused to even blink as she just stared at him with all love she had. She wanted to trace those facial features, touch those rough lips and feel them by hers. She blushed on her own thoughts and unwilling her fingers reached to touch him. She tried to hold them back but they refused as they reached his eyes and slightly touched them. He heart screamed with her each move they only have me in them. Her fingers travelled towards his nose and she smiled feeling his nose that she always found unique in its way it should only smell me and just me. She blushed as her fingers reached the corner of his lips. They traced the rough lips and lingered on them as she tried to feel them deep inside her heart. Her whole body shivered as she gently ran her soft fingers on the length of his lips making her blush even more they are meant only for me and to make love to me... I own them and she jolted as she herself heard her own words. She pulled back staring at him but he opened his eyes hearing some noise.

Geet tum she feared seeing his eyes open and cursed her for it. Geet wats the matter he asked seeing her still moving back. Kuch.. kuch nahi... Sir.. I she tried to normal but her heart was beating faster and seeing him stand on his feet made her even more scared. You ok he asked seeing her getting clumsy. Yeah m fine and finally she controlled her over flow of emotions keeping her eyes down saying Maa ne ghar se khana bheja tha aapke liye. Woh Ammy was saying that you love pasta so jab Maa ne mera khana bheja aapke liye bhi bheja. She turned and opened the bag getting the lunch box out. Maan smiled seeing her trying best not to see him. He was well awake when she stepped inside his cabin but kept his eyes closed just to see wat she will do. He smiled and moved closer to the table trying not to embarrass her more.

Wow.. tats smells good Geet he said smelling the pasta. But are you sure that it's made by Maa... I mean by your mother. She kept looking at him while he only smiled knowing just by the smell that it was her who prepared it. He knew each smell of her dishes and specially the pasta as she had taken lots of care and time to learn it. She nodded and he ate relishing every bit of the pasta as it was long that he had anything prepared by his Geet. Geet only stole glances at him while he ate his lunch and seeing his so happy made her happy.

Princess she heard his loud voice and at an instant she ran out of her cabin only to see Armaan running into her. It had been a routine for the Armaan ever since he came to know that Geet was working with their Dad and Armaan being the over smart had bugged Maan that he would visit KC after school hours or else he would call Geet Mom. Maan was first not ready but then Yash assured him that this would also help them in her treatment.

Slow baby Geet said seeing Armaan running faster towards her but then her eyes stuck to the little girl who walked behind him in her own lost world. Geet was shocked as Mehar refused most of the times to visit KC but today she came but there was something that was missing in her eyes like always. Princess Armaan banged into Geet holding her by her waist and Geet's hand automatically held him but her eyes still on Mehar.

M tired Armaan said wiping his sweat after few minutes of hugging his Mom. School makes Ammy baby tired and I don't want to go anymore. He shook Geet seeing her staring at behind him. Princess where you lost like Dad Armaan pinched Geet bringing her back and teasing her like Maan does. Aapko bhi Dad ki disease lagi kya..

Dad na sach mein Monkey di ko bimar kar diya apni disease deke. Armaan kept speaking while Geet was lost in her Mehar. She could not break the wall that Mehar was building and this pained her. Her heart started to get weak seeing her walk and her breathing started to get shallow. Yeh kya ho raha hain.. why is it that whenever she comes to me I feel this ache.. Why does my breathing gets affected.. babaji aisa kya hain tat it pains me from inside seeing her like tat.. babaji meri bachi ki raksha karna she said wat came in her mouth without even realizing it.

Princess phir se Armaan pulled Geet by her dupatta and then he jumped asking Geet to carry. She instantly carried and Armaan started his game with her soft duppata tat always fascinated him. The whole staff just watched them with a smile and a prayer from inside for the happiness if their family. Geet walked inside Maan's cabin and saw him staring at Mehar.

Sweetheart she heard him call and hearing the door close he saw his wife now stranger walking inside carrying Armaan on her hips just the way she liked. He turned and cupped Mehar's face don't you want to talk to Dad.. dekho aaj tho Ammy ki princess bhi free hain na.. So you all three can play. Mehar looked up at Maan and then at Geet but her words pierced Maan's heart while it stopped Geet's heart from beating but she is not my princess.. meri tho kho gayi na Dad. Two hearts cried one with the realization that his daughter was speaking the truth while the other with the pain she was feeling inside. Mehar just kept gaping at Geet and then her eyes poured the tears that she was holding. She kept staring at Armaan and Geet who held each other tight fearing they may lose each other. Maan reached to wipe her tears but she refused to even let him touch and handed him a letter from her bag.

School se hain he heard her say. Principal Mam wants to meet you. Maan looked up at her eyes that were cloudy with her tears but she refused him to wipe them. He controlled his emotions knowing that Geet was with them. He smiled sadly and walked back to his chair and heard Ammy saying to him. Dad Monkey Di is all lost just like your disease.. pata hain he asked Geet to keep him down while she just kept staring at Mehar. Geet walked slowly towards her daughter but her heart was scared tat she may reject her.

You know Dad... all teachers complain about Di.. pata hain Di ko kal Maths test mein bhi zero mila. Maan was shocked to hear as his kids were never bad at study and they stood first in everything they did. Priya... Di's friend was telling me... Dad you also gave your disease to Princess now... so even she will get zero like Di. Armaan kept talking trying to settle in Maan's lap while Maan's eyes only looked at Mehar who was lost looking somewhere he did not know. He was getting scared the way she was behaving. Two months had passed and he did not know wat to do. Even she refused to be with Geet and would only stare at her whenever she used to meet her with Armaan.

Mehar Geet slowly called fearing the pain of rejection. The first day she met her she had asked that would she be her friend but after that she did not even speak with her again. Mehar... why don't you talk to me like Ammy baby. Mehar looked at Geet and stood to walk but was held back by Geet. Remember you asked be whether I will be your friend or not... and I said yes then why don't you talk to me Mehar... meri galati kya hain tat you just keep staring at me. Mehar tried to free her hand but Geet just held it tight bolo na why don't you talk.

You failed.. You broke your promise to me. Mehar felt her hand being free. She slowly turned and saw Geet just staring at her with tears in her eyes. Do you get.. aapne aapka promise thod diya.. You and Dad broke your promise...and I hate you both for that. She cried moving away from Geet but stopped hearing Maan's angry voice.

Mehar Maan was shocked that his composed daughter would ever say that when she knew how Geet was. Maan.. Sir.. Main.. maine... Mehar he heard Geet sobbing hard and he feared for her health. He immediately rushed towards Geet keeping Armaan down. Sir.. yeh.. I... did. Not he reached to calm Geet while Armaan stood crying seeing his Mo cry.

Sshhh Maan wiped her tears. She is just upset Geet..Nothing else.. You did not do anything he tried to assure her but she just kept crying and having no other option he hugged her while Geet held him tight. He glared at Mehar kuch nahi Geet... mehar did not mean anything.
