Very good topic 👏 I do believe that to some extent relationships do curb creativity...as in KJo's case he is so emotionally attached to his friends,i.e.SRK, that he doesn't allow himself to have a large scope of creative ideas and actors; this just harms him in turn b/c he that makes his movies boring and repetitive...we don't see that much change in them, they all have flowly saris everywhere and unreal characters with exception of KANK...But it also understandable that when people work so close and are socially active and in same group of friends they mix work and relationships...and I think that is where everyone needs to learn to draw the line...I know it happens to me all the time...when my friends will try to affect my decisions...I think we need to take others opinions but not make them our decisions...So, I think that's what KJo needs to do...he needs to separate his relationships and work...it's okay to take your actor friends in your movies but when you somehow feel that it's almost ur duty that you should, that is where the line needs to be drawn...I mean srk doesn't only work in kjo movies...so why should KJo do the same, he has to open up and be creative...and he has to make a concious effort to do that...but from what I have analyzed about him so far I have realized that he craves other people's affections...I don't think he is the kind of person who can deal with other people not liking him, atleast the people who are his friends...I know lot of people know how to keep relationships and work separate and KJo just needs to learn how to do that! Hopefully I made sense 😊

To some extent, yes. When a known director like Karan Johar keeps in mind the actors, and what would suit them then yes it does curb creativity. However its not the fault of the relationships but of the director. We all know that Emraan Hashmi is very close to the Bhatt camp however they dont make roles keeping him in mind. So it depends from person to person. Basically you should know to put work and relationships aside.

And if they do... what is more important in you opinion... relationships or creativity???

Both in their own respective positions. Again i repeat you shouldnt mix the too. Its important to use your talent to the most however relationships are very important also. So if you put a barrier between work and personal life, only then u will suceed.

And lastly can you have both? Great relationships within the film faternity... without loosing out on creativity?

Yes and there are many examples of this. Yash Chopra is very close to Bachans however its not nesscary dat he will have them in every movie. It varies from role to role. Same goes for the Bhatt camp and Emraan Hashmi.😊
