Was kareena just used as a prop in KWK 4?

The invisible guest on last night's Koffee With Karan was Katrina Kaif. Though Kareena Kapoor Khan (from the epiglottis) and Ranbir Kapoor showed a great sibling chemistry on the show, Ranbir's girlfriend Katrina Kaif clearly overshadowed the whole episode. It seemed the trio of Karan Johar and his guests could not have enough of discussing Ranbir's love life. Especially, Bebo who bantered about how she will dance to Chikni Chameli and Sheila Ki Jawani on Ranbir and Katrina's wedding. The over stretched joke became excruciatingly tedious by the end.

A vast spread of possibilities were unleashed in the end. To begin with, let's stop speculating that Ranbir and Katrina are dating. They are in a definite stable Relationship'. When asked about marriage Ranbir very confidently said very soon. That itself is indicative that the man is in a deep rooted relationship.

But somehow Kareena's loud talk managed to take away the limelight from her. All through the show, the limelight remained on Ranbir, and his impending romance journey. While Koffee With Karan is known to be an extremely personal show, a little too much of deal was made out of Ranbir and Katrina's romance. For Kareena it was definitely a damp night! Surprisingly, no one asked about her blissful married life. Her personal as well as professional life both seemed in vain. Perhaps the only reason why she was invited on the show was to announce that Katrina is her would-be sister-in-law or so it seemed.

To use Kareena as a prop in boosting the Ranbir-Katrina news which the paparazzi loves to feed on, is the last thing we expect on KJo's show. For most, we watch KWK to get informed on news which journalists can't dig out! Going by the usual standards of the show, yesterday's episode was such a mood dampener.
