Geet stood there as her mind plying through the events. She slowly sat down lifelessly as she realized what she had gone and done... that obnoxious man came and asked for a chance and she gave in just like that?

Angry tears rolled down her eyes as she found herself so vulnerable in front of that one man. His one touch and she forgot her yeas of pain...why can she never be mad at him? Why did this traitor heart beat for him even when he broke it?

A hand wiped away the tears as she raised her head to find Dev standing in front of her.

Geet: "Dev!!! You should be down stairs"

Dev:" Even you should be Geetu!!! But you are here alone."

Geet:" I just need a moment to compose myself Dev."

Dev:"So that you can fake your happiness...do you know that you are a rotten actor Geetu!! You thought you could fake being happy but nobody believed...not even for a second... Stop doing that Geetu and for once let go, cry out loud, shout, complain but don't hurt yourself anymore. By hurting yourself you are hurting all of us..."

Geet stared at Dev as drop by drop her tears rolled down. Then slowly it turned into loud painful sobs as she let go of her control and cried out...Geet cried as she remembered the hurt she felt for maan's words, the way she had trusted maan to be there for her and he let her down. She cried for her years of loneliness and yearnings...she cried when she felt she was not good enough for maan...

She just cried for reasons unknown. Dev could feel himself tear up as he tried to soothe an aching Geet. After a long time when Geet controlled she raised her eyelashes and asked Dev in an almost broken voice," Why did he do this Dev? If he would have told me I would have happily obliged..."

Dev knew that the hurt is too deep to fade away just by some soothing words. He just said," You know why he did what he did. But I know is not easy to forgive. Forgiving someone who has wronged you is difficult but when the person we love the most hurts us it is impossible to forgive. Maan bro was supposed to be the one protecting you from hurt so you cannot forgive him."

Geet:"And you want me to forgive him?"

Dev:" No never. I want you to punish him for all this...but don't hurt yourself in the process Geetu. "

Geet:"But it hurts Dev. I am at a juncture where I can neither hurt him nor forgive him..."

Dev:" Don't force yourself sweety. Sometimes we just need to let ourselves go and see where life takes us. Maybe life will teach you to forgive and forget."

Geet:" But if I am not able to let go..."

Dev:"My dearest Geetu!!! Love is all about taking risks...I want my old daredevil prank star back and I have a feeling maybe only maan bhai can do that. Some wounds can only be healed by the person who has given the wounds."

Geet watched him and said at last," I died that day Dev and I don't think I can be alive again."

Dev held her hand softly and said," You did not die Geetu. You are just afraid you will be hurt again. Even as your brother I don't want you in the vicinity of Maan singh khurana but then I am not the one to decide. All I can say is don't make your decisions when you are so emotional Geetu. We tend to make wrong choices. Be calm enough before you can choose. No one will force you into anything Geetu. I will make sure about that. Now come downstairs, Adi and pinky are waiting for you. Remember it is for them you are here."

Geet composed herself and went along with Dev. Once they were downstairs Geet started mingling with all hiding her tears beneath her smile.

Next day morning was awaited by many but nobody was waiting like Abhisekh Khurana did. He had been observing many things now. He had never given thought to anyone's emotion apart from his own. He never had time for his wife and she had eventually left him ending the already dead relationship. He never gave a thought to how difficult it had been for his young sons to cope up with the situation.

Somewhere he knew now he should have. But he had been over ambitious always and had thought money can buy everything. Apparently it cannot. Today in the new dawn he ponders over the facts. He has literally lost everything materialistic he had once earned. Now when he thought he really had nothing apart from money and once the money was gone he was truly alone.

He watched on as his youngest son was smiling wholeheartedly playing some prank on Aditya. It had been like forever he had seen Vicky smile like this. Abhisekh tried hard to remember some memories of him with Vicky but he never really had time to make memories.

Abhisekh watched on the way Vicky, dev and Adi was enjoying being carefree while Maan was watching them with a smile on his face. The genuine smile on maan's face looked good and he realized he was the one to snatch that way. What had he gone and done? He had written same fate for his elder son as him...a life full of loneliness and unhappiness.

For the first time he realized how big the damage was only that it was too late now to rectify.

Geet observed Mr. Khurana as she had come up on the terrace. It had been a habit of hers to enjoy the morning sun before the daily hassle snatches her solitude. What Geet never expected was to meet the man who was responsible for all this.

Abhisekh watched curiously at the girl he had once wanted to destroy, who now own everything he had earned. He wanted to talk to her but what he would talk he did not know. But he wanted to say something to her.

Geet watched curiously while the Abhisekh Khurana tried to find the right words to start a conversation. He had a stark resemblance with Maan. The same firm jawline, sharp eyes and thick hair. The khurana men were handsome; she concluded and chuckled at her own thoughts.

The innocent chuckling made Abhisekh smile a little. This was first time he was watching her without the thought of separating her from his son.

Abhisekh: "What made you smile young lady?"

Geet: "Nothing serious ,Mr. Khurana; Just that, even when you and Maan are stark opposites you do resemble each other a lot."

Abhisekh:"He is my son after all."

Geet could hear the pride of a father beneath the mere statement.

Abhisekh: "So I guess you know everything now?"

Geet smiled a little and said," If you are talking about how you forced Maan to be a ruthless beast, yes I know all about it."

Abhisekh: "So?"

Geet:" So what, Mr. Khurana?"

Abhisekh: "Don't you want to say anything about it?"

Geet:"You are an elder. You are Maan's father. Whatever you did is never going to change that Mr. Khurana. In contrary to what you think I am raised well by my papaji and will never do anything to put him into shame. He had taught me to respect elders and I will follow that. Whatever you did, you have your reasons. I am no one to question you. "

Abhisekh was speechless for a moment but regained his composure back and asked," Maan was right about you. I was wrong."

Geet:" You haven't wronged me Mr. Khurana. You have wronged your son and your son had wronged me."

Abhisekh: "I made him do so and I guess I have truly lost my son in the process."

Geet: "I am simply amazed to know how less you know about your son. Years ago when Dev old me of Maan's loneliness I never thought it would be to this extent. Do you really think you lost Maan, that Maan don't love you anymore?"

Abhisekh: "What do you mean?"

Geet: "Maan loves you, that is the reason he is still hurting. Hatred means the love is alive. Only true love can garner this much hatred. Now it is up to you whether you want to find your way to him. "

Abhisekh:"Maan had been right about you. You are different Geet. So do you forgive me?"

Geet: "I am no one to forgive you Mr. Khurana. Yet it would be difficult to forget the pain you gave to Maan. But it is Maan who has to forgive you. After all I am truly no one."

Geet left the place to join others. It was a cocktail party in the evening and she was dreading the event. She reached her room only to find fresh white roses adorning the vase. Beside the table on her bed was a fluffy totally adorable Teddy Bear lying down. Unintentionally a smile crept on her face watching the arrangement as she found a letter near the teddy. She trembled as she picked up the letter anticipating the message it carried.

Dear Geetu,

I am not a man of words so here I am trying to do something for you. I know that a teddy and few roses cannot make up for the years of pain I put you through yet I know the little smile that will adorn your lips will give me peace. I will earn my way back to your heart Geetu and this is not arrogant Maan Singh Khurana speaking but your Maan. You have waited for years for me to come back. I know you will never agree but this is the truth. You are mine like I am yours. Just give me a little time to earn my place back Geetu and stop hurting yourself. If not for me at least for your friends let go of the pain you are trying to hold on to. It is not worth it. I know our past had given irreplaceable scars but I will hope one day they will be healed. Good morning my dearest Geetu... Have a nice day!!!

Forever Yours

Maan

She smiled through her tears as she read maan's attempt to pen down his thoughts. Knowing Maan, she knew it was difficult for him. Yet he tried and that made her proud of him.

A hand wiped away the tears and Geet could recognise him by his touch.

Maan:"I thought you will be happy with the teddy. Didn't you like it?"

Geet sniffed back her sobs but refused to speak a word. Maan kissed her forehead reverently and said," Good morning Geetu!!! Have a beautiful day ahead..."

As he left Geet knew it would be difficult for her to keep herself from responding. Her heart was never in her control as far as Maan is concerned. It is indeed going to be a long day.

Samaira had been confined to her room the entire morning. She had completed the packing and had decided to leave as soon as the marriage ritual completes. She wanted to run away as inconspicuously as possible. However she knew she cannot hide things from Maan.

Somewhere in these four years Maan had been a close friend of hers. She was the only one apart from Vicky with whom Maan had shared a bit of his pain.

A sudden knock brought her back from the memories of past as she got up to open the door. Maan was standing outside the door. She came back and stood holding onto the bed stand.

Maan:" So is it true?"

Sam:" What is true?"

Maan:" I heard you are leaving for US this weekend. So you are giving up on him?"

Sam:" You are right about me going to US. I had plans for higher studies and you knew that Maan."

Maan:" You didn't answer me Sam."

Samaira turned back to face Maan. Her face showed her efforts of trying to stop the tears from rolling down. The red eyes, the sunken cheeks and the dark circles told Maan the ordeal this girl was facing. Knowing she needed that, Maan went forward and pulled her into a bear hug. Sam let go the stiffness trying to garner some warmth from the hug.

After she had regained her composure Sam said," Maan, I am not strong enough. I was always a weak lover. Had I been strong I would have let you go at the right time without ruining things for you. But I couldn't and it ended up in hurting you soo much and I can never forgive myself for it. But I cannot go in front of him Maan. I can neither bear pity nor disgust in his eyes for me. Someday when I have gathered my wits I will come back and claim him. But for now let me go."

Maan smiled a bit and said in an affectionate tone, "You sound so much like the 5 year old Sam Dev brought with him to introduce. Do you know what he said that day while introducing you? He said,' Maan bro, this is Samaira Roy. I am going to marry her the day I grow up.' We all had laughed that time watching a little Dev trying to act all mature. But he had been serious always when it had come to you. He doesn't hate you nor pity you. You want me to let you go. Fine, go on. But he won't. He had never let you go Sam, not even when you were his brother's fiance. Then How come he will let you go now?"

Sam somewhere knew Maan was right. Dev can never let her go. But she wanted to become someone to deserve Dev Khanna before she comes back to him.

Sam said in a low voice, " Maan, I want to become someone who deserves him. "

Maan smiled and said," Dearest Samaira, in love there is nothing like this... If there was then I would not deserve Geet in a million years Sam. But you will have to figure that out yourself sweetie... I cannot make you do that..."

Maan left smiling. He knew one thing for sure. Dev Khanna can never let go of Samaira Roy ever and it is his firm belief that Dev will do the right thing unlike him.

Now he was going out to handle a press conference. Maan hates Abhisekh Khurana but he cannot make millions of family suffer for his father's misdeed. So the CEO has to get back into action. Only this time he was not heartless anymore.

Sorry for the late update but I was having a writer's block and could not write anything senseible for past week 😭

Emotional part for Maaneet,Abhishek,Dev or Samaira,everybody is emotionally shaken.Yet I loved Abhishek-Geet and Maan-Sam convo,these show how much good person Maaneet are.

I wud be very flat if Geet forgives Maan so easily but from my point of view Maan did all this to save Geet's property only,so Geet shud also understand Maan's situation.

Loved Maan's gesture to win over Geet,by a teddy and flowers.
