There should be a list of the most overused plots in these shows, because this one would be at the top. How many shows have used the "Protagonist finds out they have a life threatening ailment that they decide to hide it from their family because they feel the family could never bear the pain...so instead, lie about it by pretending they don't love the family anymore, try to find a new mate for their mate, and assume that their family would NEVER figure out eventually and be even more devastated because they never knew and wasted all this time hating the protagonist for lies that he/she spewed to get their family to hate them".

Its ridiculous. And yes, as above, very overused. If you love someone, you have to be honest with them. And I would have to reiterate what Ovi said, that shouldn't you allow yourself to cherish the time you have with your loved ones? To separate from them with lies is not the answer. What does that solve? Just that you delay the truth and reality of the situation from your loved ones until its too late? I never cared for such things and its unfortunate this show also had to take this direction. Sorry, this is my most hated scenario writers use.
