How are you darling? I hope you're over the jet lag, not that you appear to be visibly suffering from it or anything. What you do appear to be suffering from, if you don't mind me saying, is a minute but acute case of amnesia. I hope I didn't offend you by saying that but honey I have been watching you for a while and I can't help but feel this burning desire (yes, it's that intense!) to have this talk with you. Lord knows I tried to resist, since I don't like to meddle in other people's businesses but you just pushed me into speaking up. I mean you've clearly got nobody around you who can talk sense into that head of yours. Save for Swayam, but then again he is a little preoccupied and caught off guard with you returning out of the blue too. Which is understandable, I am sure you would agree!
Anyways forget all that. What I really wanted to talk to you about is your current state. Now I must confess, I don't have that clear an understanding of why exactly you left or the reason you have decided to keep it a secret but I would just like to remind you that you did. Leave that is and not tell anyone the real reason why. The only person who knows, treats you well. But remember, the others don't because they don't know and so them feeling betrayed IS justified.
Also while we're on this topic, can I just call you out on the desperate and pathetic way you've behaving ever since you returned? I mean woman, come on! You have spent the last two years in the States in a really reputed dance academy. You have met new people, learnt so much more and experienced a whole different life. That's good enough to groom you into a better person. I'm sure you're far more confident, sure and sorted. Hell, you even came back as a representative who is going to judge St. Louis' standards. You must be really good if your dean is willing to take your word for it. So why aren't you being this new amazing person? Why are you running around behind people who can't even stand to look at you?
I know love, that they are your friends. But you forget that you have been away for TWO years. That's a long time to be away. Things change, people change and so do relationships. Just like you were out there doing so many new things, so were your friends. No one was stuck in a time loop honey, except perhaps you. There are so many changes and so much time has passed. You need to learn to befriend them all over again but before you do that, before you can do anything - stop stooping yourself so low.
Let's be honest! We both know they won't accept your apologies unless they know you mean them, unless you clearly state what you are sorry for. You need to say it out loud and own up to your mistake and start afresh. And until and unless you don't do that and RESPECT yourself and your last two years while you're at it - they won't either.
Now on to the biggest of your dilemmas - Rey. You broke his heart so he could move on right before you left. Remember how you told him you used him for power and position remember? And now you are back in a better position, with more power. No wonder he is going to think he was a stepping stone. Why should he accept your apology or treat you with anything other than contempt and indifference unless you make amends? Chanting sorry again and again isn't going to help darling. You need to come clean and you need to win his trust again.
Basically love, all I've been trying to say is that now that you're back, you need to understand that these old friends of yours have grown into new people who still harbour resentment. You need to make amends - with action this time, not words. You can start by proving it to them (show it, don't say it!) that you won't leave them again - they had felt abandoned and deserted after you'd disappeared. Just like you did. And while you're at it, show them the new you. Don't be disheartened, I'm sure they would come around to accepting you eventually and love you even more!
