Are laws implemented retrospectively that is backwards?

I am mostly a silent reader of this forum but I watch this show regularly

even we were debating on the same since we saw the precap yesterday. So let us see what will be the ruling we get later on the same. Looks like Jodha will do something in this regard

My sentiments exactly...if that is the case..this will have implications on so many other aspects of administration where new laws are introduced from time to time contravening the existing law!

Most laws are prospective in nature..Its a rule that laws implemented at this point should not affect settled matters in the past..I have no idea what the CVs are showing😕

Its true that new law is not applicable to past events...such events are exempted...but this happens today...just think for a moment when in past the new laws had been passed such controversies would have happened...people had raised questions on the newly implemented law...to avoid any controversy we now use this practice...but its 16th century...protest toh hoga hi na...

You are right. Its kind of funny and stupid. Considering those times, had the law was meant to be implemented retrospectively, there would have been chaos in society; and many marriages ending up in divorces. anyway, will have to take in in a tv show spirit only!
