THE CELL
Arjun walked in and silently stared at Pavak. The admiration
in his eyes was hard to miss. Pavak understood it.
PAVAK:
So you have found out the truth
after all? Please do not proceed.
The DGP was highly respected. Half
of the juniors hold him as an
idol. Their illusions will
break..please..
ARJUN:
Pavak,when the DGP's truth will
come out, it will indeed shock and
shame everyone. But your truth
needs to come out. Everyone needs
to know that for every corrupt
officer in the department, there
is officer like you. You cannot
imagine what you have done..
PAVAK:
I have done nothing but my duty.
And I am still doing just
that.Sir, there are some truths
which people cannot handle. It is
easier to digest a junior officer
killing the DGP than the fact that
a innocent girl approached us with
the faith that we will help and
the uniform betrayed her.
ARJUN:
But the strange thing with truth
is-you gotta handle it anyways.
This case will be seen in this new
found light. You will be
reprimanded, but I will ensure
that you will be back soon. The
department needs you.
Arjun was about to walk out when he turned and stood. He
slowly lifted his hand and gave Pavak a fitting salute.
Pavak had tears in his eyes, but managed to utter
PAVAK:
But I am still a dishonorably
suspended officer.
ARJUN:
You do not need to have a patch on
your uniform to have honour.
JAI HIND.
