5 funniest things parents do in our movies

There is a chance that you might relate to a romantic film or you may find valid points in a thriller film but there is this one particular thing in every film that we all relate to. Parents! The Bollwood Maa and Paa have always got varied audiences on the same line. The mother being the over concerned one toward her children, while the father gets to shout on his teenage kids for coming back home late at night.

Khanna time pe khana beta (Eat your food on time)

Whether you're on the dinner table or not, food is the topic of concern. And guess what? They guess your state of mind by the food you eat. When you reject your favourite dish 'kheer' or 'gajar ka halwa', it is a clear sign of you being in a bad mood. So, Khana time pe khana (Have your food on time), bahaar ka mat khaana (Don't eat outside food), Tumhara favourite khana banaya hai (Your favourite food is cooked)... food is important. Also, almost every actor loves Gajjar Ka Halwa.

P.S. Garam dhoodh is the cure for all diseases.

Doctor or engineer

No, our Bollywood mother and father aren't fortune tellers. But they just know two professions in their dictionary, doctor or engineer and rest all the professions do not exist. They jump with joy when their son picks the toy stethoscope or when they build buildings with blocks. And when their children do what they want to, tears begin to flow.

Wedding Special

Now this is the sphere where the Paa's overshadow the Maa's. Daughters are said to be more close to their fathers. Once she crosses 16, the father visualises her as a bride. He loves her but yet waits for the day when she has to leave her 'maayka' (own house) and shift to her husband's house. Don't miss the bucket of tears shed by everyone at the wedding.

Trust issues

Yes, we need to blame few films due to which our parents have a different notion about overnights and school picnics. Every basic family value film has a scene where the parents trust their children and allow them to get away with college picnics but the end result is that the line is crossed and their trust is broken. And then the drama starts...

The illusion

Jaya Bachchan in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham changed the meaning of illusion. She senses her son's arrival faster than a shark senses blood. Earlier too, the over dramatic scenes were created. Either the diya used to go off or the mother used to get up from her sleep with a start. Also, how Hema Malini sensed her husband coming home in Bhagban.
