**** chap 3 : how it all started ****
anshuman was trying to concentrate on the file in front of him but he couldnt. this wasnt a regular file... this was the file of his dream project... dream project which means nothing to him now... its feel like a curse to him. for this damn project, he did everything. for this project to come in action he did so many things... things which he never thought he would do. he still rememberes the day when he met paakhi.
**** flashback ****
anshuman was pacing left and right in his cabin when someone came in without knocking on the door.
anshuman roared " where are your manners...??"
"sorry" came the reply.
anshuman turned to see paakhi... his friend... his only friend...
anshuman : what brought you here paakh...??
paakhi : anshu i am struck... help me...
anshuman : first of all take a seat...
paakhi went to anshuman's chair and sat their and started crying like a baby. anshuman made a face as he didnt like the way paakhi sometimes behave... she is way too informal which irritates him. but for paakhi, he ignores it and sit in a chair kept in front of her.
anshuman : now tell me whats up...
paakhi : i want to run away... 😭
anshuman : run away... okkk but to where...???
paakhi : i dont know... (crying even louder)
anshuman : hmm... so basically what is the problem...???
paakhi : i dont know...
anshuman : paakh do you know anything...??? anything by chance...???
paakhi : dad wants me to go to paris...
anshuman : woww... go then... its pretty good...
paakhi : i dont want to go anshu...
anshuman : first of all stop this anshu crap... it makes me feel as if i am fifth grade student...
paakhi : meli help kalo na...
anshuman : how can i help paakh...??? cmon be reasonable for once...
paakhi : i like someone but he needs time...
anshuman : excuse me...
donno why but it hurted him. he never thought that paakhi liked someone. he always thought he is the only guy in her life.
paakhi : he needs time... n if i go to paris, i might fall for someone there you see... i dont want to betray him...
anshuman : arghh... you will say you are the topper of your university... 23 years old and in few months you will complete your post graduation...
paakhi : what is this got to do with my love life...???
anshuman : love life... did he say he loves you...?? did you confess your love to him...???
paakhi : no... but we kissed...
it burned him... hurted him badly... anshuman tired and controlled his rage.
anshuman : its better you go to paris paakh...
paakhi : why...???
anshuman : ok listen to me... go n enjoy yourself in paris for sometime...
paakhi : matlab main ghumne chali jaun... ye sahi hoga kya anshu...???
anshuman : paakh i am already stuck in my problems... dont eat my brain now...
paakhi : haww... problem...?? kya hua...??? sarr mein dard hai kya...??
anshuman : paakh... stop it...
paakhi : you dont share your problems with me and then you scold me... its not fair...
anshuman : ok stop crying first...
paakhi wipes her tears from a tissue paper and makes a ball out of it and throws it into the dustbin kept few steps away. the tissue paper fell near the dustbin and anshuman irritatedly got up and threw it in the dustbin.
paakhi : now tell me whats your problem...?? main hoon na...
anshuman : daadi wants me to get married...
paakhi : wowww...
anshuman : wooww... like seriously...??? its an ultimatum paakh...??
paakhi : wish i got one... i would have agreed without wasting a second... marriage is fun anshu...
anshuman : yeah its fun when you get to buy lots n lots of clothes and jewellary... right...???
paakhi : yeah and honeymoon... wowww...
anshuman : paakh you have lost it... go away...
paakhi : ok i am sorry... accha tum kis se shadi karoge...??
anshuman : that is the only problem... the only girl i know after di is you... plus i know many girls are ready to throw themselves on my bed...
paakhi : haan woh toh hai...
anshuman : but there is a catch... i dont want to get tied in this marriage thing... di suggested me to go for a contract marriage... you know once daadi gets convinced and sanction finance for my dream project... i will get over with the marriage...
paakhi : now what will you do...???
anshuman : i dont know...
paakhi : ek idea doon...
anshuman : hmm... bolo... tum chup thodi rahogi waise bhi...
paakhi : dont get me wrong...
anshuman : i can never do that... you know it...
paakhi : can i be that girl...??? its a matter of few months right...
anshuman choked on his coffee and started coughing...
paakhi : careful...
paakhi hands over a glass of water to anshuman and rubs his back.
anshuman : paakh come baby i will take you to a doctor... you have finally lost your brains...
paakhi : nahi anshuman... listen to me... if it happens, i dont have to go to paris and i will got to stay here and and and... your problem will also get solved...
anshuman : thats not bad... we wouldnt fall for each other and no one will ever doubt that we arent together in real terms... mera matlab bhi nikal jaega and -
paakhi : and main faithful bhi rahogi towards nikhil... because i know i dont love you... agar mujhe tumse pyaar hona hota toh ho gya hota...
anshuman : bingo... this is the best idea you ever gave or will ever give... today you are at your best meri jaan...
paakhi : thanks...
paakhi smiled to herself and anshuman smirked. he thought that this silly friend of his solved his problem. and the icing on the cake is that she is too naive and she will get serious about this marriage thing.
so without wasting any time, anshuman went to his grandmother and told her that he loves paakhi and will only and only marry her...
surekha : paakhi... humari paakhi...??
anshuman : yes... humari paakhi...
surekha : she is too young to get married... we know her... abhi bhi bachi hai wo...
anshuman : but we love each other... i wont be able to live without her daadi... this ultimatum of yours helped me to realise that i cant stay away from paakhi... i cant lose her...
surekha : are you sure you would keep her happy...??
anshuman : till my last breath daadi... paakhi is the girl for me...
surekha : okk then i will talk to her parents... paakhi ab tumhari hogi...
anshuman : thank you daadi...
that same night, both the families agreed and anshuman and paakhi were to get engaged in few days. lavanya who was out for an exhibition, came back and on knowing it; she went to anshuman's room.
lavanya : whats all this anshuman...???
anshuman : i am getting married...
lavanya : to paakhi...??
anshuman : yeah...
lavanya : argghh... she is so useless anshuman... i wonder why you are even friends with her...
anshuman : cmon di... i dont know whats your problem... why do you always have a thing against paakhi...??
lavanya : i dont know...
anshuman : know you will get ample time to know paakh... she is wonderful... you will love it di...
lavanya : are you sure this is right anshuman...???
anshuman : very... nothing will go wrong...
lavanya : i hope so...
anshuman : paakhi is the one di... we both have our selfish motives in arranging this wedding... so basically no problem...
lavanya : i trust you...
anshuman : i know... love you di..
lavanya : love you too...
three weeks later, anshuman and paakhi got married. paakhi was now officially mrs. paakhi anshuman rathore.
anshuman entered his room and saw paakhi sitting on his bed... correction their bed.
paakhi : anshuman do we really have to share a bed...???
paakhi picked up her veil and widened her eyes in confusion.
anshuman : yeah... because no way in hell i will sleep on the couch...
paakhi : hmm... okk..
anshuman : now i want you to sign these papers...
paakhi : papers...??? you want my autograph or something... haha...
anshuman : very funny... its our contract marriage papers...
paakhi : ohh..
paakhi signed the papers and anshuman kept those papers safely in the safe.
anshuman : now go n change princess...
paakhi : is my lehenga not that good...???
anshuman : its a designer piece paakhi...
paakhi : but you never complemented me...
anshuman : ohhh paakh you look stunning... absolutely amazing... beautiful... very pretty.,...
paakhi : really...??? thank you soo much...
paakhi excitedly hugged anshuman and he hugged her back...
paakhi : will you click a picture of me...??? plzzz...

anshuman looked at paakhi's photograph in his mobile and tears rolled down his eyes. he never thought he would ever miss her that much. her absence in his life was destroying him... he was feeling devastated...
anshuman : paakhi i love you... i love you soo much... i want you back paakhi... i want you back...
anshuman didnt tell her that he loves her but from the day she left him, all he did whole day was to confess his love for her... he loves her and now he needs to tell her this... he wants paakhi to know taht her anshu really loves her and its not a lie...
