I have never lived in a joint family but seen quiet few...joint family members are mostly close to each other and the children grown up together hardly differentiate b/w cousins and real siblings...so i wonder if after knowign the truth would Shiv-Mahi-Saanchi's equation will change? Relation wise everything will change but should it matter to Saanchi that now Shiv is not her real brother so he cannot hold the same authority over her?...i mean Shiv is even close to Mahi and acts like his big brother even though at first they were cousins...Shiv still remians big brother for both of them and since they have grown up close to each other should their closeness now be affected?...what would have been ur view if u had/have a joint family?

Sanchi is a wacko - so I'm not sure I know how she will think. But I think Mahi wud be a little more pleased to know that the big brother he's always been so fond of - is a little more closer than before.
Maybe Mahi will be instrumental to Shiv in erasing some of Shiv's anger towards Meenu for "giving him away" - so to speak.

------------
If the CV's want - they cud use this incident to make Sanchi grow up and realize that she is Ira's only child and Ira is very hurt and feeling very very low and maybe Sanchi cud be a little less selfish and be there for Ira and try to cheer her up.

This wud go a long way in making Ira feel she has a sensible daughter even if she went a little astray for a while. and that she as a mother - has not lost it all.

In a joint family your relation with cousins, uncles and aunts may not change but the relation with parents will definitely effect.
nice post👏

Thanks 😳
Well parents ke saath relation badalna obvious but it would be bad if things change b/w Saanchi and Shiv too...now he won't be able to shiw his anger on him like he usually does and there goes our chance to see someone controlling saanchi or at least making some effort but i know it would...Saanchi will get a open reason to tell off Shiv rudely and get out her bhadas on him for whatever things she has been irritated with him and all the respect for him will go out of the window

Well - I hope Sanchi will feel a little deprived of Shiv - she may not mind losing Anandi as her sagi bhabi though !!
And the way they showed a meek mute Sanchi helping dress up her mom on her anniv - maybe Sanchi WILL make an effort to straighten out her act and feel more responsible about her actions bringing joy and not sorrow to her mom.

Sanchi is Sanchi- so we cannot predict how this truth will affect her, but Shiv's relation with parents will change even if it is not shown.
I think in a joint family there was no need for such baby swap because generally, devrani-jethani share the responsibility of children and even if Ira had no child, she could still had Shiv as nephew and taking care of Shiv would have lessen her sorrow of losing her own child - unless she had some monster mother-in-law who would point out about not having her own child.

I don't think Shiv-Mahi-Sanchi relationship would change much. However, there will be other changes in the family. For example,
- For Jagya-Ganga reception, Ira went with SHiv and Anandi. CM stayed back to look after Sanchi. In the new scenario, CM may go with Shiv, while Ira would stay back with Sanchi

- Mahi might be doing the prayers/puja for Anoop. Now probably Shiv will do those things as the elder son.

- Shiv's relationship with CM's family may undergo change

-CM may get little more importance when it comes to matters relating to Shiv's in-laws. When Sanchi-Jagya marriage talks came up, CM did not have much of a say.

if the things remain the same doesnt matter nw...what matters is the relationship between ira and meenu will definitely come to a formal devarani- jethaniz sort of relation... saanchi has already fallen into the trap of ankita and her co's,,,,,,,,,shiv n mahi are both going to take her out of this and then she surely will realize the importance of blood-relations...HOPEFULLY.!
