TaaRey SS: Love redefined (After Taani's re-entry)
Chapter 2
Rey was blindly, madly, deeply in Taani. And why ' WAS' ? He IS. Reyaansh Singhania, who never fell for even the most prettiest girl was now head over heels in love with Taani. But.. Look at his fate. The one he loved, the one he wanted to spend the rest of the life with was snatched away in such a brutal manner. Indeed, he had to push her away from him for her betterment.
Ever since she left, he was heartbroken. He used to have nightmares and would end up screaming her name in bed hoping she would, somehow ,come back to him. He would, sometimes, drive on the roads of Mumbai in a hope he would see her again. Whenever he used to dance, it would be related to the pain he was goin' through. He turned down all the dance offers he got.
He was simply
Shattered
Broken
Devastated
Destroyed
by her absence.
BUT
He still Loved her.
His house was covered with Her photos. EVERYWHERE. Every wall had her picture. He didn't want to forget her. He knelt onto the ground and cried his heart out.
Flashback.
Rey saw the scholarship letter which was addressed for Taani, and he felt proud of her. But, when he realized she had rejected the letter, he felt disappointed. He knew the reason, because the admission letter was from a university from Vegas and she never wanted to leave him and India even if it meant to turn down such an amazing opportunity which could make her career up. He had to do something, he knew that for sure. But what? He had only one option, to let her go. But he knew he had to be harsh in order to make sure she does accept the admission letter and leave for Vegas. But was he ready to let go of her? He wasn't sure. There was only 1 thing he was sure of. He wanted her to achieve success in her life. He wanted her Betterment, even though it meant letting her go. He had to break both of their hearts to make her realize her dream yet again.
Rey- I'm breaking up with you, Taani.
To say Taani was shocked would be an understatement. She was beyond Shocked. Paralyzed, is the word. She couldn't believe Rey was saying this. The one for whom she gave up everything, the one who was the love of her life was breaking up with her.
Taani- What.. What is wrong, Rey? Did I do something? See, I'm sorry if I did something inappropriate. I'm reallyy sorry. But don't leave me. I wouldn't be able to live without you. Pleasee..I'm sure we can sort this out but don't do this.
To see Taani in such a situation was impossible for Rey. He wanted to break down and say he never wanted to leave her but he had to. For her. He had to.
Rey- Taani, let's not complicate this. I want to break up with you.
Taani- but why?
Rey- Because I'm not in love with you. You get that? I'm not. You've been a burden to me for a long time. I wanted to tell this to you since a long time. So please, don't fake your tears. I have to go.
And he left. Taani fell onto the ground, totally numb.
Flashback finish.
Rey allowed himself to cry again. He saw the wall, full with her photos.
Usually, when he had nightmares, he always saw that one scene that left him devastated.
Flashback.
After ringing the bell continuously and not receiving a response , Swayam called Taani.
* why isn't she opening the door? * he thought.
Then he remembered Rey had come to meet Taani. So he tried Rey's no.
" Why aren't you opening the door? And what are you doing inside my house with my sister? "
" I'm not at your house. "
" Then why isn't Taani opening the door? "
Clearly remembering they just had a breakup, his mind had flashes of what Taani could do to hurt herself.
" Oh, Shit "
" What's up, Rey? "
" Listen,try and opne the door. I don't care if you have to break it. Just open it. And I'll be there in a moment."
" Why are you getting so hyper? "
" Because I broke up with Taani. And as far as I know her, she'll try to hurt herself "
The phone slipped from Swayam's hand. He was also numb for a moment, and various pictures flashed in his mind of Taani hurting herself. Then he remembered he had to open the door. He tried his level best, but it was locked.
After 10 minutes.
" Why haven't you opened the door? "
" Rey, I tried to but it isn't opening "
Rey didn't listen to him anymore. All he wanted to open the damn door and make sure Taani was alright.
After 5 minutes.
After heavy handwork the door finally opened, and Rey frantically searched Taani everywhere.
In the living room- empty
In th kitchen - empty
In Swayam's room- Empty
In her room- empty.
" Taani, where are you? "
" Rey, look in the washroom"
Rey went in the washroom with a heavy heart. If what he was thinking was true, he had no idea how he would be able to live. If Taani did hurt herself he would never ever forgive himself.
And what he saw next removed all his doubts. The scene in front of him .. It broke his heart in many pieces. Shattered him totally. He was numb to the core. And he decided at the very moment he would never forgive himself.
A bath tub was full of blood.
And none other than Taani was in it.
She had cut her wrist with a knife that lay beside her, her eyes closed, her face pale.
A bath tub Full of Taani's blood.
And a huge part of him died at that very moment.
He was rooted to the spot, numb and he in that moment he wanted to kill himself.
" Taaannniii " he screamed.
He went ahead with shaky legs, the dam of his tears was broken and he cried. Her wrist had been cut and was bleeding profusely. The knife which had helped Taani to kill herself was keep beside her. The water was red with her blood. He took her out of the bath tub, and held her in his arms. With every passing moment he wished that it all was a nightmare, a terrible dream but no, it wasn't.
