Someone explain this to me...

So, the 4th Media Awards have been announced. ZGH is nominated in every category. The shows that have aired this year seem to have all been nominated. Furthermore, coming back to ZGH which is arguably one of the best shows (if not THE best) to come out this year is nominated in the following categories:

- Best actor : Fawad Khan for ZGH

- Best drama: ZGH

- Best writer: Umera Ahmed for ZGH

- Best director: Sultana Siddiqui for ZGH

- Best OST: Ali Zafar for ZGH

- Best supporting actress: Samina Peerzada for ZGH

now, you may be wondering that something seems off..yes. where the hell is Sanam Saeed for ZGH?!?!?! the answer to that mind boggling question is - she's NOT even nominated for ZGH. 😆 Let's take a minute to comprehend this if even possible. So, you're telling me..the best performer of ZGH is NOT even nominated?

Then you realize..wait a minute..Sanam Saeed is nominated! but for Talkhiyaan..great! but then you ask yourself why is everyone else nominated for ZGH yet no Sanam Saeed?!?!?! 😲

You keep thinking and scroll to see ANOTHER nominee and feel like someone must be lying...must be a mistake? Mahira Khan nominated for Shehr e Zaat in a nomination list filled with folks from 2013..a nomination list without arguably the best performance of the year - Sanam Saeed for ZGH..yet there is Mahira Khan..for what?!?!??! Shehr e Zaat? double you-tee-efff. 😲

Best actress nomination list is as follows:

- Mahira Khan for Shehr e Zaat

- Sanam Saeed for Talkhiyaan

- Sajal for Nanhi and Gohar e Nayaab

- Myra Khan for Tamanna

Why in the world and how in the world is Mahira still being nominated? 😕 Sajjal is nominated TWICE, and Sanam Saeed too deserved to be nominated TWICE as Talkhiyaan AND ZGH are two of the best performances of this year..yet Sanam Saeed as been completely snubbed for ZGH. EVERYONE else from that show has been nominated for something or the other, EXCEPT Sanam Saeed..this is such jokes.

Sajjal has had a great 2013..so kudos for someone her age to stand out..however, Sanam Saeed not being nominated for ZGH is blasphemy. Mahira Khan did not deserve to be nominated for the gazillionth time once again for a show that is not even from this year. like what's the reasoning? 😕 And then Mahira's fans complain Mahira is scrutinized for no reason..realllyyy?

If we were to forcefully add Mahira to this list..then why not Sanam Baloch? or Saba Qamar? or Aamina Sheikh from 2012?

The popular contenders now are Mahira and Sanam Saeed obviously..Sajjal isn't as popular and Myra no one cares about.

Will Sanam Saeed beat Mahira? Saba/Sanam B/Aamina/Sawera/Sania Saeed etc can not beat her..lets see if Sanam Saeed, a top performer of 2013 can beat Mahira from 2012? that just sounds wrong. lol..

I can just imagine Mahira walking away with another award..this is such jokes.😆

But LOOOVED her in Talkhiyan.

Also i looovee Sajjal in Nanhi.

I wud choose between these 2. Both drama's are worth watching.

Evn as a fan of SS i wudn't say i wud want her to win the award. Sajjal gave a tough competition by playing the character Nanhi, i was very impressed by her acting.

But im suprised tht SS is not nominated for ZGH 🤔 Is tht wierd or wierd.

But i do have a feeling tht Mahira will win again.

Sajjal has had a great 2013..I'm happy that she has made it to the nomination list..but this is popular voting..in my opinion Sajjal is not as popular as say Sanam Saeed or Mahira. Sanam Saeed not being nominated for ZGH as well is simply not fair. This seems to be a foreshadowing of all of the upcoming award shows. Sanam Saeed's Talkhiyaan performance is worthy of a nomination however, how many people have watched Talkhiyaan when compared to ZGH? not many. Sanam for ZGH deserved to be nominated..I'm sorry she could've easily been there instead of Mahiraa..Mahira does not deserve to be there, yet again in a year she had no shows.

Sanam Saeed was better than Fawad Khan in ZGH. Enough said..she deserved to be nominated for ZGH. ZGH is nothing without Sanam. That is her best performance yet.

Yes Sajjal did deserve. And also alot of ppl thought Talkhiyan was boring, i kinda do understand them. But evrything single actor in tht Drama is worth praising and evn the director.

And yes i find it very wierd and evn suprised by tht.😳 Yeh kya se kya ho gaya 😆

I thought aur koi ho na ho, she will deffo get nominated for ZGH, she did overshadow FAK at times and I actually thought FAK was better in Humsafar.

Fawad had more of a role in Humsafar than he did in ZGH. I thought he was great in both, however Mahira couldn't overshadow Fawad in Humsafar..I always maintained Fawad and Naveen were the best parts about Humsafar and I stand by that.

Now, with ZGH...Sanam Saeed overshadowed him in many places. And, let me tell you..this goes without any bias as I was always a bigger fan of Fawad's than I was of Sanam Saeed's.

Lets be real, ZGH was about Kashaf's zindagi..it focused more on her than anyone else...had Sanam Saeed performed terribly, ZGH would not have worked.

To be honest, I didn't like ZGH at all. It was a bland drama that had far too many similarities to Humsafar. I don't think it deserved any nominations at all. Even the OST was below average.

Having said that I think Sanam is one of the best young actresses in Pakistan today. I'm really happy she was nominated for Talkhiyan because not only was that a game-changing drama (seriously miles ahead of anything else that came out this year), Sanam gave a phenomenal performance in it. She deserved that nomination, and she deserves to win.

The sad thing is she probably won't win. I'm guessing Mahira will win out of popularity. Just like last year Sanam Baloch lost for Durr-e-shewar to Mahira Khan for Humsafar, despite the fact that Sanam's performance in DES was in a league of it's own.

I like Mahira, and I enjoy watching her onscreen, she has this innocent aura that draws you in, however I do not believe she is worthy of the excessive accolades she is receiving at the moment.

The problem here is Sanam Saeed will most likely not win for Talkhiyaan regardless of how brilliant she was. That drama did not get as much of recognition as ZGH did. I think Sanam Saeed was phenomenal as Kashaf..she was my favorite performer in that show..I felt she should've been nominated for that as regardless of anyone's opinion that was one of the better performances by a female actress this year. At least Sanam Saeed who is arguably the best actress of this year, or at least ONE of the best this year..would've had a bigger shot at winning. Now, I doubt it. I do hope she wins..it may just restore some justice to these popular choice awards.

And, Sanam Baloch was snubbed at every award show last year for Durre Shahwar. Sanam was never ever nominated for Shahwar, anywhere.
