Holaa all πŸ˜ƒ .. I m back with the weekend take 😳 .. This week was extra spl for all Jalal-Jodha lovers since not only we saw both getting close on Jalal's birthday and understanding each other 😳 but we also saw Jalal's first step towards his journey as Akbar ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

While Ruqaiyya's gift of Shaan brought glitters in Jalal's eyes and he appreciates her efforts πŸ‘πŸΌ, Jodha's gift of Maan opens not only Jalal's eyes to a world of reality but also makes him understand his responsibilities as a Shehenshah in a better way which he treasures with himself as the most precious gift of his life anyone could ever give him ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ...

This week both Jalal and Jodha not only bond as friends over the gift but also feels a certain heart-to-heart connection with each other while thinking about each other's gift and feeling lucky to hv each other in their life 😳...Will this new found understanding and friendship turn into love ?? πŸ˜› .. aahh the journey just starts 😎...

This week all episodes had a spl touch of symbolism and some divine moments 😳 and so just like last week , let me analyse and rate each of these episodes individually πŸ˜ƒ

Monday episode ... The beginning of Insecurity and the heart-to-heart bonding ❀️

Ruqaiyya-Jodha talks which started all the insecurity for Ruqaiyya this week ... So The topic of discussion between both which later turned into argument was "What is Love " ,.. For Ruqaiyya the definition of Love is being Shehenshah Jalal's Begum-e-khaas and best childhood buddy πŸ€” while for Jodha definition of love is being with your soulmate in happy as well as sad times without any expectations or tags ... So when Jodha asked a simple question to Ruqaiyya regarding her love for Jalal which will remain forever or not even if he is no more a shehenshah or he was never her childhood buddy πŸ˜‰ , Ruqaiyya really had no answer and I m sure when she will b alone in coming weeks she will actually question herself too whether she really loves Jalal or is just sticking with Jalal as his begum-e-khaas only because of the comfort level and security she gets with Jalal due to his Shehenshah tag and the childhood connection πŸ€”...

I guess Jodha raised these questions to Ruqaiyya because she has noticed that everytime Ruqaiyya has this fear of loosing Jalal to some other woman , she always confesses that she has no issues if Jalal goes around sleeping with other women as long as he dont loose his heart to them which is sort of weird because if she truely loved her man then she will never really want him to go around sharing bed with other ladies either ..isn't it πŸ€”...So this only means that she is sticking to Jalal only to enjoy the rights of being his begum-e-khaas and best childhood buddy .. thats it ... there is no real husband-wife feelings or emotions attached here πŸ€”...

Mayb Jodha asked these questions to also confirm it whether Ruqaiyya really loves Jalal or just wants to own him and do the show off to other women in harem πŸ˜‰ .. Now that Jodha got a hint that Ruqaiyya dont really love Jalal , so in future if she truely falls for Jalal , she wont feel guilty of coming between Ruqaiyya and Jalal's love as there is no real love between them in this case .. πŸ€”

Also I guess this does gives a reality chk to Ruqaiyya too and will help her realise that Jalal is just her childhood friend and she still considers him like a friend only (in fact thursday epi hinted that Ruqaiyya is more worried about the friendship tag than anything else πŸ˜†) .. So there is no love involved and even if Jalal in future falls for Jodha , she wont really mind as long as she is given the importance of begum-e-khaas or "best friend" in main darbar and harem πŸ€”

Jalal-Jodha kite symbolism which started the heart-to-heart connection and bonding between bothπŸ‘... Jalal makes his attempt to fly the kite high and it does fly high.. Its similar to Jalal's success story as Shehenshah .. he too is successfully flying high as the king conquering everything .. But suddenly the kite starts going down just how Jalal was a bit down after learning how his own sister backstabbed him ... But Jodha makes sure the kite does not fall and so she makes an attempt to make sure the kite continues to fly high and is being successful in her attempt which clearly indicates that Jodha is going to b the strong driving force in Jalal's life too whenever his chips will b down ... She will make sure Jalal's honour never falls down πŸ‘πŸΌ...

That beautiful eye-talk when both looked at each other was more of a silent gesture to each other .. almost like Jodha telling Jalal that I will never let u fall and Jalal telling Jodha thanks for never letting me fall 😳.. it was a beautiful and meaningful eye-lock between both indicating their heart-to-heart connection where they hv begun to understand each other's silence and those gestures now without the need of words πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Shariffuddin's confession regarding Jodha 😳 .
. I m glad that finally the reason behind Shariff doing this fake pregnency fiasco is shown .. pheww πŸ˜†... So Shariff secretly wanted to marry Jodha and is pissed off that Jalal took the cake and instead gave him bakshi bano as gift for conquering Amer πŸ˜†... oh well the reason is quite valid in this case since I remember how Shariff was so pissed off when Jalal asked Shariff to release Jodha's brothers even though Shariff was the one who won Amer battle and even killed that Suryabhan πŸ€”...

But in all this poor Bakshi bano became the scapegoat .. sighh 😭😭.. I so wish Jalal realises that Bakshi bano is really not at fault .. Jodha already realised it and I feel slowly Jodha will make Jalal realise the same too and this way both will slo wly learn to trust each other 😳

Overall my rating for the episode is 9 out of 10 especially for the kite syymbolism and Ruqaiyya-Jodha war of words πŸ‘πŸΌ

Tuesday Episode : The beginning of the Emotional Connect 😳 and the Puzzle game 😎

Jalal-Jodha's emotional connect .. First time Jodha could see and feel those emotions of Jalal when she watches him trying hard to hide those emotions that he feels while touching that gift of Bakshi bano though he tries hard to act all rough and tough and show as if he dont care for his sister anymore but his heart is bleeding from inside 😭😭...

Rajat as Jalal was really good in hiding his emotions and trying to act like a heartless Shehenshah but the pain in his voice while talking to Jodha and those moistness in his eyes gave it all away 😭😭.. He was trying hard to keep a control on his tears but the moment Jodha touches him , he just could not control his tears .. first time he felt that emotional connect with Jodha and as human we normally end up crying our heart out or showing our emotions to the ones we feel closely connected 😳..

I loved the way Jodha here tries to console Jalal by making him realise that he will feel good and light if he actually tries to forgive his sister ... Best part here is Jodha dont go around lecturing him about relations or anything in her usual arrogent tone but only politely requests him to forgive his sister for his own betterment since he is really very attached to his sister 😭😭... First time I see Jodha thinking about Jalal from his POV and not her own and this is a real progress for Jodha as a wife ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ruqaiyya's Childish puzzle and destiny's wish to make Jalal realise that this birthday Jodha is his biggest gift
πŸ˜›.. So the puzzle game of Ruqaiyya once again proves that for her Jalal still remains her childhood buddy with whom she just enjoys playing either puzzles or chess games even on his birthday πŸ˜†... Ruqaiyya's puzzle game actually had noble intentions since it took Jalal to all his favourite people from Hamida to Maham and all gifted him something spl to cheer him up on his birthday and till this episode it was still a mystry what was the final destination in Ruqaiyya's puzzle since Jalal had gone to a total different destination here all thanks to Rahim's sweet blunder πŸ˜‰πŸ˜†πŸ˜›.. Well its actually symbolic since it clearly indicates that Ruqaiyya's wish to reach her final destination of giving waaris to Jalal will never happen and instead Jalal's destination will always end up with Jodha .. Thats why Rahim makes that sweet mistake of telling Tulsi ka tree instead of Neem ka treee thus taking Jalal to his final destination Jodha in this puzzle of his life 😳...

For me this puzzle related to Jalal was more of his search for a perfect companion who will always be with him till the end of his life 😳 ... So Ruqaiyya starts Jalal's journey to this final destination by deciding the whole puzzle as she was the one who came in his life earlier in his childhood and then Jalal takes a merry go round trip by going to his all favourite people from his mother to Maham to Rahim in search of that perfect companion who will b there with him forever 😳and finally his search ends up with Jodha standing near that tulsi tree which will b the end of his life's puzzle and his destination too which is not what Ruqaiyya had decided but what destiny has decided for Jalal since Jodha is his perfect companion and soulmate too ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️...Guess Ruqaiyya got the message too later in thursday episode when Jalal announced the best gift in darbar 😳

Its interesting how Rahim is always the choosen one who builds that much needed bridge between Jalal and Jodha on which both will walk and come close 😳...

Overall my rating for the episode is 9.5 out of 10 especially for the symbolic puzzle game which takes Jalal to his final destination Jodha in the end 😳

Wednesday Episode ...The beginning of Jalal's quest for his perfect Gift on his birthday 😎

Jodha's gift vs Ruqaiyya's gift : .. In this episode too We dunno yet what will b their final gift .. It was still a suspense but from the puzzle game it was already clear that Ruqaiyya's gift will indicate her self centered nature since her puzzle involved only Jalal's family members and it was all in Jalal's own comfort zone only πŸ€”.. Whereas Jodha's gift will indicate her selfless nature since her puzzle of taking Jalal to the village and showing him the outside world which includes all the issues of his people will not only bring Jalal out of his comfort zone and make him realise the various difficulties that his Praja had to face daily but it will also bring Jalal one step closer to his people who r like his children (in his own words) and thus his people will no more recognise their king just out of fear but will also start recognising him as a king who has a heart of gold and so their fear will automatically turn into love and respect for Jalal which will b Jodha's ultimate gift to Jalal this birthday and thats why she asked him to wait till evening for his gift so that after Jalal digs that Water well for his people , then his people himself can come and shower praises on their king which will b his best gift this birthday from his own Praja ala Children ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️...

No wonder Jalal mentioned in his tomb that this birthday will change his life to a new dimention .. I guess its the beginning of his journey to become Akbar and we all know Jodha made this beginning possible by taking him outside the mahal dressed as a common man so that he can closely witness the life and struggles of a common man 😳.. And this birthday will start the transformation of Jalal into Akbar which he will always treasure with himself all his life as he got this gift from his own people only because of Jodha .. So indirectly its Jodha's gift to him which comes from his own Praja ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️...

Ruqaiyya's gift might hv all the glitter and gloss but Jodha's gift will give Jalal the much needed peace and satisfaction from inside as a king and as a human beingπŸ‘πŸΌ...

Jalal's eagerness to see Jodha's gift than Ruqaiyya's gift :
It was quite interesting how Jalal was more keen to know what Jodha is gifting him than what Ruqaiyya will gift him πŸ˜‰.. We hv such expectations from someone only when that someone is close to our heart and we expect the best from that someone πŸ˜‰πŸ˜³πŸ˜³.. Well even Jalal knows that Ruqaiyya's gift will b predictable like every year but Jodha's gift will always hv a hidden positive message behind it and so he was so curious to know about her gift 😳...

Also I loved the way how in the name of gift Jodha took Jalal outside the mahal by making him dress like a farmer so that this birthday he can come close to his people and could know all the problems that his province and the people residing there might b facing and which never really came to his attention due to various reasons .. So it was sort of a positive discovery for Jalal on his birthday and this is no less than any gift either for a king who comes to know about his people so closely 😳

Overall my rating for the episode is 10 out of 10 especially the way Jodha took Jalal close to his own Praja and made him understand all the difficulties that his Praja might b facing thus opening his eyes to the harsh reality of his kingdom on time πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Thursday Episode ... The beginning of the most awaited Journey of a rutheless king Jalal into a king with a heart of gold Akbar ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ruqaiyya Gift of Shaan vs Jodha's gift of Maan...The beautiful Contrast ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️... Like I assumed earlier only that Ruqaiyya's gift will b filled with all the glitz and glamour for the Shehenshah and thats exactly what happened .. she gifted that Shiny costume to Jalal with glittery gold work thus turning Jalal into Bappi lahiri (In Mansi's words) 🀣🀣 ,..It looked more like the cameraman was giving extra light on Jalal's suit so that it looks all shiny enough to make the viewers go colour blind 🀣🀣🀣... Anyways so coming to the point , Ruqaiyya's gift was more about keeping the prestige of a Emperor intact by showering him with gold and glitter .. Like Jalal said she kept the shaan of a shehenshah intact

Then comes Jodha's gift ... The gift which will make sure Jalal's name is always taken with love and respect in history by his own people ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.. Thus she keeps the dignity and respect of Jalal intact πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘... In short the maan of a Shehenshah πŸ‘πŸΌ ...No wonder Jalal was simply spellbound to get this gift from Jodha which brought him so close to the common man of his province and made him realise all the difficulties that his kingdom people r going through which resulted in him finding a proper solution by digging the water well for them and thus getting all the praises and blessings from his own people on his birthday .. What can b a bigger gift for a king on his birthday than getting the blessings of millions of people of his own kingdom 😳😳...

Jalal knows that Shaan is temporary as it will all go away when another ruler takes over after Jalal but Maan is always permanent since even after his ruling days r over , People and history will always remember him with love and respect .. No wonder he announced Jodha's gift as the most special one till date in his life as it not only brought him closer to his own people but also made him realise the real responsibilities of a King ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️...

Jalal-Jodha exchange of words .. Beautifully crafted scene
πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘... I loved the way Jalal had his self-talks in alone first where he realised how for the first time he is desperate to meet Jodha and thank her for showing him the right route today 😳... Now I understand why Jalal in his tomb said that this birthday made a fresh beginning in his life .. It certainly made him realise the real responsiiblities of a king ... A king can remain on his throne and rule the world as long as he is showered with the blessings of his own people and to earn those blessings , its important for a king to first understand his people and emotionally connect with them by himself trying to find out the problems they r facing and then providing a solution for them on his own πŸ‘πŸΌ... Jodha made him realise not only about his responsibilites as a king but also the fact that he has a heart too 😳

Jalal-Jodha convo was so beautifully executed in the episode .. Jalal thinking about the spl gift of Jodha and there Jodha too all blushing looking at Jalal's gift when suddenly she sees Jalal entering her room to thank her for the gift .. Almost a soulmate connection there 😳 .. I loved the way Jodha teased Jalal by telling him that now he cannot deny that he has a heart too which can feel the emotions of other people 😳 while Jalal wished to spend a lifetime with her so that he can collect many more such gifts from her which makes him a better human being 😳... Well its still early days in terms of love for both but the way both looked at each other while speaking , it was certainly a start of affection and a new found comfort level as friends 😳...

Ruqaiyya's Jealousy and insecurity ... It was natural for Ruqaiyya to feel insecure especially when Jalal indirectly said she has competition now from Jodha who is also becoming his good friend πŸ˜‰

But I guess Jalal also indirectly hinted to Ruqaiyya that as a friend noone can take her place πŸ‘πŸΌ.. So Jodha is certainly taking that exclusive place of a soulmate and wife in Jalal's life in future πŸ˜‰πŸ˜³,...

Ruqaiyya's expressions clearly suggested that she knew this was coming , its just the fear of loosing her spl position in Jalal's life now /..,. .. but I hope CVs dont really turn her mean and negative like Mahamanga ... I dont mind her feeling jealous or angry or hating Jodha but she better not turn into those scheaming vamps trying to plan and plot against Jodha ...

Overall my rating for the episode is 10 out of 10 especially the way CVs showed the contrast between Ruqaiyya's gift and Jodha's gift πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Friday Episode .. The beginning of a new era where relationships will b based on love and not power or lust ...

Ruqaiyya's fair game of Chess with Jalal : We might call Ruqaiyya insecure , jealous ,selfish etc etc but I must admit that she is one person who will always want good for Jalal even if its at the cost of her own defeat over Jodha πŸ‘πŸΌ... I loved the advice which she gave to Jalal regarding appointing 4 trusted people in his ministry who might not get along well with each other but will b forever loyal to the Shehenshah instead of someone like Adham khan who is a born backstabber πŸ‘πŸΌ...

Well Ruqaiyya's indirect hint here was her own relationship with Jodha .. She dont get along well with Jodha but she knows well that in times of crisis only 2 ladies might stand in support of Jalal and that is her own self and Jodha only and so even if she dont like Jodha , she will anyday opt to share Jalal with Jodha over someone like Mahamanga who can never b trusted as her motherly love for Adham always overshadows her loyalty for Jalal

In fact Ruqaiyya even lost that game of chess to make Jalal win which was again an indirect hint that she dont even mind loosing if its for the betterment for Jalal .. She even admits it from her own mouth .. so in future too she wont mind loosing Jalal to Jodha as long as she sees Jalal is happy and safe with Jodha πŸ‘πŸΌ...I m not sure how Ekta willl take Ruqaiya's character in future but for now I m loving her as a woman .. she is quite real and she never claims to b a saint but is not a manipulative or negative human being either ...

Adham's lust-tale might actually teach the real value of Love to Jalal all thanks to Jodha 😳 : So I feel the main purpose behind this Adham lusting over a kid was to make Jalal realise the value of love and how relationships especially marriages are not built on lust or power but are built on true love and respect 😳... Till now Jalal too did multiple marriages to show his power and supremacy over various states whenever he won any battle and married that particular state's queen but this Adham matter might actually make him realise what that poor innocent girl goes through when she is simply sacrificed in the name of victory to a much elderly man thus ruining her whole life ...

Precap clearly indicated that Jodha will make Jalal realise the value and importance of love in any relationship especially marriage 😳... So far Marriage was just a deal for Jalal but now I guess its time for him to understand the real institution of marriage and start giving it respect which might begin from this Adham chapter when Jalal himself will oppose Adham's marriage with that young girl all thanks to Jodha's stand ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I feel its the beginning of a whole new chapter for Jalal .. first the spl gift of Jodha made him realise the true responsibility of a Shehenshah for his people and now this Adham chapter will make him realise the real value of love and marriage πŸ‘πŸΌ

Overall my rating for the episode is 8 out of 10.. a bit on lesser side because the last 4 epis were absolute winners to me compare to today's episode which was more of a filler and was setting the base for next week's episodes which I guess will b based on Jalal's realisation about love and marriage πŸ€”

Last but not the least , overall I feel JA makers r following a pattern of sorts where every week an issue is raised which Jalal and Jodha in the end solves it successfully and comes one step closer to each other but then again another issue crops up which takes them back to square one only to later make them realise their mistake and mayb come 2 steps closer again and the cycle continues this way πŸ˜†πŸ€“.. Its working for the trps and so the CVs r continuing with this pattern as well like next week again both will clash over Adham matter but I m sure in the end result will b positive as usual πŸ˜ƒ ... But now its high time I feel Jalal-Jodha relation needs a bit more push in terms of physical proximity between the two as well thus showing some passion and sexual tension too whenever both r close to each other and hving some conversation 😳... The show is more than 100 epis now and its high time CVs think of giving us some accidental hugs and a bit of physical intimacy between the leads too to take their chemistry to the next level 😊...

Overall it was a grt week in terms of story progress and execution ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ .. Looking forward to everyone's views and comments πŸ˜ƒ

The Jodha effect on Jalal: how she has changed him by just being who she is!

Friends, Jyoti has done a superb analysis of this last week gone by. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈAll kudos to her for picking up all the best and most important highlights of the week . (I think I would have picked the same points myself!). Incidentally, Jyoti, this format for weekly analysis is lovely. It gives a sense of re-living the week and offers a lovely overall perspective of all the episodes we've seen so far. It seems to fit the week nicely in the context of the overall development of the storyline.πŸ˜›πŸ˜›πŸ˜›

I want to do this weekend analysis a bit differently. This week we saw Jodha giving Jalal some overt lessons about reconciliation with his sister, about how to rule the hearts and minds of people, and about how to acknowledge the existence of his own heart and humanity that he has been denying so far. That set me thinking about whether in these last 100+ episodes we have all missed seeing many other subtle ways in which Jodha has gradually changed Jalal?

Although many of us crib from time to time that the love story is going along a bit too slowly, when I actually sat down to examine the many ways in which Jodha has affected Jalal and subtly changed his life, I found about four key points that are of very strong significance. She has very, very gradually cast her influence upon him, and both her positive aspects and even her negative aspects seem to have affected him for the better. Most often, by just being who she is, she seems to have evolved him! This was a revelation to me so I wanted to share this with everybody.

So here, this week, is my analysis of the Jodha Effect on Jalal ...

Jodha's "ghrna" awakens and releases Jalal's own pent up anger!

Let's get straight to the point where Jodha's famous "ghrna" starts manifesting itself. The Kali temple loot and the subsequent Amer-Mugha l war in which Suryabhan was beheaded all added up to a staedily building hate that Jodha was beginning to feel for the Mughals. She had already grown up in a Rajput kingdom, that like all Rajput kingdoms, feared and hated the Mughals, and so that hatred already present in her got fanned by the temple loot and the war.

Jalal then managed to even further exacerbate her hatred by taking a panga against her for holding a sword to his neck, and he married her out of some sort of vengeance. She did not know his motivations for the marriage, and even we will not know exactly what he felt for her: attraction or vengeance? He said it was vengeance each time he felt the question, but his actions showed as if it was attraction, because he lost no opportunity to hold her to himself by marriage, no matter how much hatred she showed or how many sharths she put in his way!

After the marriage, she continued to hate annd hate and hate. She hated his touch, she hated his sense of possession of her and refused to let him have any physical relationship, she hated him even more when he blamed her for Ruqaiya's miscarriage, he gave her enough reasons and more to keep adding to her hatred. But in all this "ghrna", let's look at the positive side! If she had not hated so much, he would not have reacted in return so full of anger and chagrin. And the more he started "feeling" even the negative feelings, his heart was opening up to the very concept of "feelings" that he was denying so far!

Jodha had managed to pierce the hard cover over his heart by her very act of expressing hatred at every turn! He felt anger, frustration, his own hatred of the situation she had put him I ... but he never hated her in return. Finally when her hatred and "ghrna" took her to the point of suicide, he got the self-revelation that Fate intended: they were both in the same boat. She was not to be misunderstood for hating him, she was to be known and understood! Many people on the forum didn't like the way Jalal ran after Jodha even after her worst "ghrna" dialogues, but that's the beauty of this whole thing: he did run after her despite her "ghrna". Ask yourselves why!

Jodha's family bonding shows Jalal the deficiencies of his own coterie!

Jodha comes from a family that is extremely well-bonded. People love each other, stand by each other and generally respect each other a lot. They are also a bunch of very sensitive people who place an importance on the family as a unit of mutual sustenance. Contrast this with the Agra coterie around Jalal, and you get the huge difference in the way Jodha and Jalal have experienced what is family!

Jalal from his young age was a boy separated from family and brought up by family retainers. His early life was lived on the run, often even without a roof over his head, and evading cannon balls and poison-tipped arrows from his own uncle and other enemies. The people who cared for him (Maham and Bairam) had their own agendas and expected their pound of flesh for protecting the waaris of the Mughal dynasty. Often Jalal lived alone, not even in touch with his siblings, a lone child among a bunch of adults.

The concept of what a family is really seems to have hit Jalal only after Jodha came into his life because she brought with her the entire Amer familial closeness, the loyalties of brothers who could give their lives for her and her husband, the love of parents who saw fit even to deny her re-entry to Amer just to save her life with Jalal. That was the remarkable thing Jalal learnt about family that they are not teacherous but instead they are soft and nourishing ... but they are also firm and unyielding sometimes in the best interests of their children and loved ones!

The Amer family has now embraced Jalal as one of their own when he became Jodha's husband, and especially after Sukanya's wedding! And Jalal too has adopted them whole-heartedly as people who are more than just wafaadars! Ruqaiya did not bring a family with her, and neither did Salima. Jalal had an on-off relationship with his own mother Hamida. But as Sangeetha tells me, now that teachery is everywhere in the Agra coterie, thanks to Bakshi, Sharif, Abul mali, Adham and Maham, the Amer family of Jodha are going to slowly occupy prime positions at Jalal's court and inner circle! They are going to become his real family, thanks to Jodha!

Jodha's people-wisdom helps Jalal see the value of ruling by winning hearts and minds!

We have just seen this week the whole saga of how Jodha has allowed Jalal to acquire a bit of her people-wisdom, and thus had helped him suddenly realise that it's not the clothes an Emperor wears, or the crown or the shamsheer, that makes him a true ruler. He has to rule not by power or fear but by winning hearts and minds. I thought is was a wonderful idea that on his birthday Jalal got this gift of genuine people-understanding from Jodha that has changed his life. In fact we all now see how this litle change has become the seed around which Jalal will become Akbar the Great!

The moment of revelation for Jalal was all the more piognant when the gift he got from Ruq was giving him the exact opposite idea first - that clothes maketh the King, and audha is all important as an expression of political power. Within minutes, though, when thousands of simple village folk thronged to give sincere thanks for the drops of water that changed their lives, he was thrown and overwhelmed by what "love of the people" meant. It was like he was seein his praja all over again with entirely new eyes. Previously they were a mass to administer, now they were all people to connect to! They were the mirror reflection of his genuine power, and the happiness on their faces was the yardstick of his own potency as a "great emperor" and not just an ordinary one! The more they praised him and thanked him for the goodness of what he had done for them, the more humbling it was for him - and in that humility Jodha also helped him discover he has a heart and humanity!

It is not as if Jodha has inherited her people-wisdom from her family, because in Amer too there must have been many instances of power from the King gone awry with the people. But in Jodha, as an individual, the empathy for people seems an innate character plus-point. When Abdul was about to be killed for illegal entry into Amer she argued against killing a handicappped man. When Adham is trying to ruin Tasneem, she is arguing against him. There will in fact be many more instances where Jodha will show her indignance and argue in favour of empathy with people ... and that will also make her a lot of enemies at Agra. But it is great that she never gives up on people. And its even greater that she also never forgets to tell the people that they need to respect their Emperor! Jalal has seen that many times too! He always had power, but people-empathy is something he got only from Jodha. That is her greatest contribution to his life, I guess!

Jodha's resistance to physical relations will show Jalal how she wants love before lust!

Yesterday I don't know how many of you saw the precap very carefully. There Jodha is seen vehemently telling Jalal about the injustice of Adham trying to use Tasneem in a disgraceful way against her will, by wooing even her parents away from her. She seems to be arguing in favour of women being treated with more respect, especially the hapless girl-child! But underneath it was another huge sentence that I hope you all did not miss!

Jodha said in the precap as the very last sentence to Jalal: "How can Adham do this? The very foundations of any relationship between a man and woman has to be not lust but love!" And Jalal was listening acutely! I got the feeling in that moment that when we see the scene again on Monday of this conversation between Jodha and Jalal, he is going to see clearly why Jodha has been shunning physical contact with him all these days. He will see that she thinks that a relationship of the physical kind should not be based on lust but love! And the penny will drop for him ... that she is not going to give herself to him unless he is able to give her love!

We audiences are already privy to this kind of thinking in Jodha when she kept telling Moti during the pregnancy track that she didn't mind being pregnant but she hated the idea that this child was created from lust and not love! But Jalal has not heard that from her yet. In the guise of arguing against Adham with Jalal, Jodha is bound to give Jalal the understanding, finally, that she is waiting for his love and will not accept lust as an alternative reason for phsyical closeness, no matter even if they have taken the shaadi pheras that make it his right to ask for physical relations with her !

When Jalal comes to this realisation, I will be very keen to see what happens from there on. Will he now start wondering how he will be able to give and receive love from Jodha, now that he knows that is what she expects to have? Will Jodha become so important to him that he will want to grow closer to her by giving her the love she wants? Will Jodha now make him start believing in mohabbat as a minimum for a relationship between man and wife?

He has even recently told her that he did not help her in that pregnancy track because of love for her, and she shouldn't misunderstand him to be in love with her! She sounded as if that was a relief to her as well. But will the lies that both of them have told each other and themselves now come out in then open when she says (as in the precap) that there can be no physical relayionship between a man and woman without love? I am waiting for Monday with bated breath, because I thought that one sentence in the precap can be another huge eye-opener for Jalal!

Jyoti, after 100+ episodes, it feels like the real story is only now starting na?

This Jodha-Ruq convo was almost like a boxing match ... how the two boxers keep circling each oter to see who makes the first move so that the other can react. But seriously, if instead of being adversaries, they can both become friends it would be a real departure from the typical soap format where the third person is always a semi-vamp!

OMG, what a beautiful scene. especially loved the way he said "You seem to have come here to try and be closer to me!" He really is incorrigible!

Jodha already realised it and I feel slowly Jodha will make Jalal realise the same too and this way both will slo wly learn to trust each other 😳
Will Bakshi feel the same way about Sharif if she knows he is lusting after Jodha?

Uff that hand on the shoulder scene ... and then when she takes off her hand how he winces as if he has lost some vital support! Ufff ...EmbarrassedEmbarrassedEmbarrassed

Jyoti, not only was the gift not the most fabulous one, the whole treasure hunt of Ruq was too childish. See she even told Hoshiyaar herself that she had made the clues too easy so that jalal will get to the gift! What does that say about her intelligence and about her assessment of Jalal ka intelligence?

The contrast between the Ruq approach and the Jodha approach was already beginning to be felt in this episode itself. But its a good thing that Jodha also did not display her cards to Jalal openly. She kept a cool appearance and led him at his own pace into self-discovery mode!

That is a brilliant point that escaped my notice that Jalal seemed more eager about Jodha's gift than Ruq's gift. maybe because he has seen Ruq's gifts year after year he knew what to expect but Jodha was a new quantity? And also he wanted to see if she could match his gift to her, I suppose?

OMG, we all had a sort of idea from the spoilers what Jodha ka gift will be. But Ruq's gift was a total "kick in the butt" for me! I never thought Jalal will walk in looking like a fireball!πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜† Maybe in those days it was a huge gift because real gold must have been sued to create such an outfit!

Ufff, Ufff, Ufff, Ufff, Ufff, Ufff, Ufff, Ufff,Ufff, Ufff, Ufff, Ufff, What a scene! I saw it at least ten or twelve times!

Bit of a strong jhatka to Ruq ... many forum members thought Jalal was too blunt. But then I felt it was coming sooner or later! Ruq was just asking for it! As someone wrote on the post, even if Jalal had said both gifts are good Ruq would have ranted because she wants to be the whole and sole one that Jalal appreciates!

Jyoti, I am going to reserve judgement on Ruq after seeing how she reacts when jalal falls in love with Jodha. It's OK that she's fair now ... but will she continue to be that way?

Unless Adham becomes impotent, I am afraid some woman or other is going to get the worst treatment from him all the time. Waise he is never in Malwa and always in Agra and on the prowl for women? Do you think after this Tasneem issue this Javeeda may turn negative? That should be interesting!

Jyoti, I completely second this view that its high time for some "action" on the romance front. How long are we to wait for even a handholding or a hug? Here Jalal is kissing every lady's forehead except Jodha? Some people have even come to the desperate point that they are hoping the two souls in the makabra at least start holding hands!

Overall it was a grt week in terms of story progress and execution ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ .. Looking forward to everyone's views and comments πŸ˜ƒ

mansi I am amazed at the way you looked at the precap...I till not was thinking that JO put herself in Tasneem's place and talking abt her pain...But after reading you it could be that Jallu realises that to get Jo he needs to love her...

Nice recap, buddy!
Two things.that's not sitting well with me:
1. The lack of passion/chemistry in Jo-Ja interactions:
Their interactions are becoming increasingly formal and polite much to the disappointment of souls like me... I want the old Jalaal back who used to be a great combination of naughtiness, sensual, and playful. Somewhere I see a regression. The glint in his eye during the aarthi scene or sword fight is missing. The visible display of Jalaal's attraction to Jodha during their Amer trip is missing.

Am not even hoping for physical proximity or them to fall on each other...But I certainly want some raw emotions flowing... for us to feel the attraction and sexual tension.
2.. Today's -precap Jodha explaining about love being essential in a marriage:
In the era of arranged marriages where one wouldn't even have seen their spouse's face until after the proposal has been finalized, I lost her there... That dialogue didn't seem to fit the 16th century well. . But in that era love didn't happen until after wedding. And a lot of weddings were indeed marriage of conveniences. Any case will await the scene to play out.
Overall a stellar week, we saw the work of destiny, Rahim playing a important role in it, Ruqqu's insecurities, Jodha's deep thinking regarding the gift, Soul talks, and Jo-Ja acknowledging they are well past the Ghrina phase marking a new chapter in their lives with this birthday of Jalaal's.

Very beautiful and detailed write-up on the entire week.βοΈπŸ‘πŸ‘ This week had so many beautiful moments but the highlight was the mystery gift.πŸ˜† Agree, it was amazing how Jalal was so desperate to know what Jodha gifts him. Maybe its because he's familiar and used to Ruqaiya's gifts and knowing what a surprise package Jodha is she'll give him something unexpected.πŸ˜‰

The shiny and glittering Jalal was something else.πŸ˜† Think Ela mentioned in Mansi's thread Jalal coming to sing/dance I'm a disco dancer.🀣 But jokes apart he looked good and Jodha seemed mesmerizing.😳 Jalal is so handsome let's see how far Jodha tries to resist.πŸ˜‰πŸ˜†

The coming track the less said the better about Adham! And Tasneem's mom disgusts me in yesterdays epi.πŸ₯±
Agree, its high time for some sexual tension between AkDah. If not the gang in Mansi's threads are loosing it.πŸ˜† Going wild than CVs at this point of time.πŸ˜† Jyo, but Jalal seems distancing himself at this time if we remember how he was wth Jodha in Amer holding her hand during the wedding, undressing doing push-ups or asking for head massage with the naughty smile.πŸ˜• Now they growing closer we need such scenes.😳

@Mansi : Absolutely loved your take πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ and I cant find enough words to praise the way u hv written how Jodha's views and way of seeing things in different light brought out the much needed changes in Jalal's lifestyle too slowly but steadily ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️...

I think the major difference between Jalal and Jodha is actually their upbringing ... Jodha was always surrounded with love and emotions in her family .. she not only got the love of her own parents and other relatives but she was also brought up in a very peaceful environment surrounded with warmth and affection unlike Jalal who was brought up amidst all the war and destruction in which he lost his father too and later on Maham who brought him up sort of kept filling in negative thoughts of power and destruction in his mind always and other important person in Jalal's life that is Bairam khan tried to b his father figure but he too only taught about power and destruction to Jalal , so somewhere his upbringing was filled more with hatred instead of love or affection and this contrast in their upbringing clearly shows when both r putting forward their POVs on different things πŸ€” ... If Jodha has learnt the unique gift of forgiving people then Jalal has learnt only one thing that a person who commits a crime should b punished even if its his own loved ones ...

But having said that , Jalal still has a hidden softer side which he got from his own mother Hamida and thats why we see at times if Jalal is truely hurt , he is unable to hide his tears and breaks down like any other normal human being who has a heart ...He is not a stone hearted man like other Mughals such as Adham or Shariff who truely dont hv any heart or emotions ... Jalal is more like his own mother who can feel other person's emotions and believes in playing fair πŸ‘πŸΌ... Today Jodha is trying to awaken this side of Jalal .. someone who has deep emotions and a heart too which can forgive people ... Jodha has seen those tears in Jalal's eyes while talking to his people and so now he recognises this hidden human side of Jalal which she will now try to bring out in open and thus his transformation into Akbar too will happen slowly 😳...

I guess Adham will want to marry this girl suggested by Maham as per spoilers just to prove to all that he just dont want to sleep with this girl but provide her lifelong security too but I guess Jodha will oppose it since its more of child marriage and mayb Jalal for the first time will support Jodha's actions and will oppose his own team for being wrong πŸ‘πŸΌ
