We get 1 scene of Jalal and Jodha usually everyday per episode but we didn't even get that today. Do you all think we will be happy just watching Adham Khan's lustful heinous intentions and plotting and scheming of Maham and spying of her subordinate Resham Khan?
Not even in passing we saw Jalal and Jodha in the same frame. Anyway I want to requests some plots or subplots or scenes here. I am in no mood to discuss the episode.
1) I want Jalal's flirting and teasing to be back with Jodha. From the fake pregnancy track not a single time I felt that attraction from his end. He seems serious and contemplating most of the time. I want those Amer moments to be back. I know he can't be teasing and flirting all the time but once in a while toh banta hai! It seems Jalal has forgotten to smile altogether.
2) If you all are showing different facets of Jalal's life as an emperor then I want to see his nine gems. I want to see their shine and glory. Let their talents be shown in court and how the family too enjoys it from behind the curtain. I so want to see Birbal with his clever riddles and sense of humor.
3) I want to see Jalal's appreciation of arts and talents. There are so many stories in history about Akbar's passion for music, knowledge, art and painting, his hunger to know about other culture, religion and heritage. I want to see his going to Meerabai to listen to her 'bhajans' in disguise. I want to see him appreciating Tansen and Jodha can accompany him in his pursuits.
4) I want to see Jalal after listening to some deep religious debate discussing it with Jodha because he is missing some knots of it because he is not aware of Hinduism so much. It can be an enlightening one to one discussion. And obviously he comes only to Jodha knowing her intelligence, knowledge and passion to learn more like him. It will show the respect he has for her.
5) I know Jodha being the Balaji heroine will have to be involved in everything and all the motions will have to be started by her like now about 'minor' marriage. But once in a while I want Jalal to take a stand and Jodha supporting him. She can throw some more lights for sure and give her input but let the Shahensha earn his status and position on his own for a change.
6) I want to see Jalal fighting against and banning Sati or approving widow marriage during his reign and Jodha wholeheartedly supporting him. It can be shown in a journey taken by both Jalal and Jodha and his witnessing all this and then finding out from Jodha what is the religious reason behind it and then taking a stand to stop the customs.
7) Jalal coming to Jodha and discussing about tax relief on pilgrimage journeys and finally removing the tax from it. You all can again dramatize all this from story telling point of view.
8) Where is Todermal, Maan Singh, Abdul? How come such important characters are missing from the story line for so long? It's been a while we are stuck in harem politics and in and around Jodha's stand on every thing. Please show Jalal as the emperor with foresight, intelligence, power, spirit and spunk and his ever charming smile and heart winning smirk as well. His important relationship with others as well. I want to see some bonding between Hamida Bano and Jalal. Being a Shahensha is a tough job but occasionally he can be a little frivolous.
9) I want more Jalal and Jodha scenes and definitely everyday. An episode like today's is a no-no for me. And when I said I want to take their romance slow I didn't mean that there should be a brake to their romance altogether. The feelings and emotions should be growing in the heart doing a 'balle balle' but the confession can be later in an apt moment. I want Jalal to look at Jodha covertly, to admire her silently, Jodha blushing and doing the same. Something like when he watched her performing the dance in Amer, the lunch date, the hand massage scene, the 'aarti' scene, looks of Jalal was amazingly romantic, how come we are not seeing that anymore?
10) One major request is I want character consistency be it Jalal, Jodha, Ruqaiya or any one else. A major problem with Balaji has always been character consistency, one day one character is good but the next day they are extreme opposite. Ruqaiya didn't look the same person from yesterday with her such intelligent advice to Jalal and her grace in losing. You are making her an yo-yo. She deserves that much of respect to stick to one stand. Today she spoke and behaved like a chief queen and yesterday she was breaking glasses to be second in line. Sigh!
