That's just really really sad and actually very disgusting.. "Perhaps even more disturbing is the study's finding that one in four Indian children taking part in the survey had complained of being sexually abused."

I know brown parents tend to hit their kids whn they're young.. so they learn that wht ever they were doing, was wrong. I don't entirely agree with that.. but anyway .. parents are a diff story.. and being hit by authorities constantly.. is another story.

"71 per cent of the children surveyed said they had been beaten by authority figures, and in more than half those cases, the beatings were severe enough to cause bleeding."

Some police (I know it's all around the world, and not just India) shouldn't really be police. I don't know wht else to say .. but I mean .. they're not doing wht police do. The msg around here, that police are suppose to give is 'To Serve and Protect' and im sure it's basically the same all around the world, but that's not happening. *sigh.*

Thanks for sharing the article. 😊

agree with meghavi......brown kids are always abused, especially kids in
India, since anyone can go around slapping others--its not like anyone is
going to do anything, because even if they tell authorities-- the
authorites go around slapping peopel

some people dont even realise the difference when they are in Canada....
Heres something I have experienced which might relate to this:

I had gone to India for two months- December, and January (explains why
I was so inactive 😆), and on my plane ride back there was a man, who
was coming to Canada for the first time. He pushed his seat as far back
as it would go, which bothered the 7-year-old girl behind him- it
obviously would, since they were in economy class, and she couldnt even
sit up straight anymore. She started to push the guys seat forward with
her knees, and instead of trying to reason her by telling her not to do
that, he turns around, and slaps her. All of the air hostess' were staring at
him, and so were the people on board. He just turns around, as if nothing
happened. The mother of the girl he slapped, then says to him, that he
couldnt have slapped the girl but should have told her, and that he could
be sent to jail for that, but instead of saying sorry, he replied by saying
that he slapped people around and beat the, with canes in India, and no
one dared to tell the police. Everyone was shocked....even the air hostess'.
He was lucky that the mother of the girl was so nice, otherwise he would
have been rotting in jail for the past month and a half.

indian children are suppose to be hit yaar 😆
all this being "grounded" and white people punishment stuff is crap
this is why indian kids do less bad things than white kids
and its so true no matter what
i am not saying indian kids dont do bad thing otherwise they wont get beat 😆
but compared to americans and other people indian children dont do as worse things
if they do something bad then they will get beat by parents
if white kids do something bad then they will get sent to their room and play video games and watch tv there
and this punishment makes kids more disciplined than being sent to your room etc.
Russell Peters said this as a joke but what said was true
for soo many generations indian parents are beating their kids
and its like a tradition now loll
but yea just because other people do something different that doesnt mean you have to follow it
and even when your punishment way is better 😉
i was beat when i did something bad
and i will hit my children if they do something bad
but one thing i have noticed is that most indian parents will hit the son more often and more worse 😆
but i guess thats parents because parents think son is able to take the beating more or something
