I hope u r right about Shlok and everything is not what it appears. But to me it seems he is in a revenge mode at the moment. As far as marrying her is concerned then this is the way I think. he didn't want to marry anyone anyway...he refused even his father once...the only person whose requests or commands he doesn't refuse. Then one day all of a sudden he agreed to marry and proposed Aastha. Well I think that's because he wanted to torture her for whole life, continuously (or that's what his initial plan was before he started to get attracted towards her). He wanted to trap her for whole life with the knowledge that she can't escape. Besides, he did say once that she is going to be a puppet whose strings he will control. So it wudn't be a shock if he did plan everything as he said. But I too feel he was exaggerating a bit.

Marrying Aastha just for revenge may seem like a stupid idea to us but from someone's point of view who is as psychotic as Shlok it may seem like a clever idea to punish someone and get pleasure out of witnessing their pain for a long time.
