The brain of the human body is a very complex organ...It also has a self defense mechanism...The minute it is over whelmed or stressed it shuts down and the human faints...Khushi's brain is going through the same phase...Fear is keeping her memory at bay...She is trying hard to remember but fear is holding her back...Said the doctor...I will try and get there as soon as I can...till then be patient and dont ask her too many questions...OK?

Arnav...No, I wont ask any questions...

Doctor...She might not recall anything...She might have just fainted cause of her pregnancy...

Arnav...Oh yes...She doesnt know about it...Not yet...

Doctor...hmmm...its ok, dont worry, ill come soon...

Frustrated Arnav disconnected the call and went inside the room...Khushi was lying on the bed..out cold...Garima was sitting next to her and rubbing her cold hand, trying to bring some warmth to it. Payal and Bua ji standing by the side of the bed...All had received a shock when they had seen her faint...It was good Arnav was standing near her and had caught her before she hit the floor...He had picked her up and laid her on the bed...

Arnav was pacing the floor...First looking at Khushi and then at the other three ladies...Thinking...Was it a good idea to bring her here so soon and expose her to too much of her past? Should he call Dai ji? What will happen when Khushi wakes up? Will she remember them all...or nothing will happen...Like the doctor said...

Garima...Khushi...Khushi...Please wake up...Then she looked at Arnav and said...I thought she would recognize me, but...

Arnav sighed...The first time she fainted, I also thought that she might regain her memory...but she didnt...so lets not get our hopes high...Lets all wait till she wakes up...

Everyone was sitting in the lounge, waiting for Khushi to wake up...All deep in thoughts...Arnav was pacing the floor...Waiting...Thinking...What will happen when she wakes up???

Buaji...If she wakes up and remembers everything then? There was a pin drop silence...Everyone knew what would happen...

Khushi will throw a tantrum and also throw Arnav out of the house... said Garima...She was staring at Arnav with disgust...I dont know if I should thank you or be angry at you for finding my daughter but not telling me about it till you brainwashed her again and took her to your house...

Arnav froze at the spot...His heart sinking...He knew what was coming...He knew it was over due for a long time now...

Garima continued...Shes not your wife...With what right is she living with you?...What is her status there? Last time she was insulted and thrown out...What is your and your families plan for her now???How did you convince those ppl who rescued her, to let her go with you... She should be living here, with her parents...

Buaji who was shocked at Garima's outburst butt in...Garima, This is not the time to...

Garima didnt let her complete and blasted at her...Its all your fault...You started this mess...Keeping a young man, who you knew nothing about, in the house with my two beautiful and young girls...Not even thinking for a second what that Shyam could have done to them...Cause of him, the Raizadas entered our lives and ruined it all over again...

Buaji...My interest was only that he marries Khushi...

Garima...No...Your only interest was to get rid of my Khushi...She always has been a thorn in your side...You never accepted my Khushi as your own...I know, my past has hurt her...but I wont let it ruin her future...Turning towards Arnav she said...Dont even think for a second that if she is living with you, IM helpless...I will not be scared nor will I spare anyone...

Arnav...Aunt I know I was late...I can explain...but right now im just trying to help her...

Garima angrily...But nothing...you doubted my daughter, you let her down...you hurt her so much... cause of you I lost her, I wont let you hurt her again...ever...You mark my words Arnav Singh Raizada...You cant keep my daughter in that house for long...Remember she is my daughter...the minute she remembers...She will dump you...Just like you dumped her...And I will be standing by her side...

Payal intervened...Amma...Plz, what if Khushi hears you...

Garima...You keep out of this...Cause of you I have remained silent long enough...But now I wont...I will take my daughter and leave you all in peace...I have had enough of you all...

Suddenly a phone started to ring...They all looking for the source...Then they heard a voice in the distance...Hello...Ji, Dai ji...Im fine...How are you and Sarpan ji?

Arnav heard her voice and ran inside the room...Hoping she hadnt heard anything...She was sitting on the bed talking on the cell...She looked at him and got off the bed...JI Dai ji, im fine...I was tired so I fell asleep...Yes yes..dont worry, IM fine...OK Dai ji, talk to you later... She disconnected the phone and turned to face Arnav...

Arnav..Khushi tum theek ho? (Are you alright?)

Khushi...Yes, I m fine...What happened?

Arnav...You fainted...I have called the doctor, he will be here soon...

Khushi... NO, I dont want a doctor plz...Im tired of doctors...Plz ask him not to come...

Arnav..But Khushi...

Khushi...Plz, im fine... just very hungry...

Arnav smiled and agreed...

They both went out and Khushi came face to face with Garima again...her heart missed a beat for some reason as she greeted her...Payal's mom hugged her and they all finally had their dinner...

Payal's mom was hovering over Khushi, serving her potato puris (fried flat breads) and other food...Khushi loved all the attention she was getting...It seemed as if she hadn't eaten in ages... She ate till she could eat no more...

After dinner they were having tea...Garima made Khushi sit next to her and they started talking...When Khushi found out they were from Lucknow, she got very excited and asked Garima ji to tell her everything about their stay there...

Garima told her everything...About their house, their neighbors...telling her stories of their city...and when she told her about their sweetmeat shop, Khushi got very excited and said...I bet you made those round round jalebi's I ate...they are my favorite...

Garima was close to tears but she held on to them and smiled. Raised her hand, touched her face and said...You are such a lovely girl, I pray all your problems get over soon...and you go back to your own people soon...

Khushi smiled back...Then Khushi told her about her village, her Dai ji, Sarpan ji, her neighbors and friends...

Arnav was watching them both intently, looking for any change or some sign in Khushi...It was getting late and Khushi was still chatting continuously with Amma, showing no sign of being tired or returning home...He had told her that when ever she felt like returning home, she just had to yawn...But instead he yawned...Khushi turned to look at him and said...You are yawning...you must be tired...

Arnav smiled and said... No, Its ok, you guys carry on...

But it was too late for that...Khushi stood up and bid everyone bye. Payal hugged her Amma and said...Amma, take care...

Khushi was watching them both, suddenly felt very alone and cold...missing Dai ji, wishing she was with in the village with her...

Garima saw Khushi's sad face and asked...Are you missing your Amma? Khushi nodded.

Garima came forward and took Khushi in her arms for a tight hug and said...As I m Payal's Amma, from today im also your Amma...Whenever you miss your Dai ji, just come to me...

Khushi hugged her tighter and said...Arnav ji was right, you are just like my Dai ji...Nice, warm and loving...I would love to come and visit you all again...

Garima still hugging Khushi, looked at Arnav, throwing daggers at him and said...Just call me and I will come to get you...

After they all left...Garima and Buaji looked at each other...Garima said...Im happy, my daughter is home and safe, now we wait for her to regain her memory...Her heart at peace...for now...

Buaji was sulking...Still suffering from Garima's outburst. She knew she was guilty of all charges...

At Shantivan, Khushi thanked Arnav for taking her to meet Payal's family. Arnav asked again if she was alright. To that she said she was as fit as a fiddle and asked about their plan for tomorrow...Arnav replied that he had some work in the morning, but he would be home by noon and then they can go to Akash's office after lunch. Till then she should rest...She nodded and went to her room...

She was lying on the bed and was looking at the stars that hung there...She didnt know how she had missed it in the first place...She smiled and turned on her side and fell asleep...

In the guest room, Arnav was sitting on the chair, his laptop open in front of him but totally being ignored. He thought...Day first had ended without any evident change in her. Her first meeting with her mom was similar to her first meeting with him...She had fainted and when regained conscious, she had been same...

Garima's outburst worried him...He knew she was right...It was his fault, and whenever she regains her memory, he wont be easily forgiven...He sighed, shut his laptop and got up...Walked towards the window and looked up in the sky...Not much had happened, but his heart was at peace now...she was where she belonged...He sighed and went to bed...thinking, dont know what tomorrow would bring...

Arnav entered the house and found Nani ji, Anjali and Mami ji very upset. Khushi had been hiding in her room since morning...She had come down for breakfast but had rushed back up again...Her behavior was very strange. She had literally locked herself in the room...The three ladies were worried what had happened that she was behaving in such a manner...

Arnav also thought it to be very strange. Had she remembered everything and was now regretting coming here?? He walked up to her room...He was about to knock on her door, when he heard her talking to someone...

Khushi...IM glad you came to me...yes...Im also glad I found you...Now we can be friends and we dont have to be alone...I will look after you, feed you, takecare of you...And you do the same for me...Just dont go out of this room...I will keep you hidden here as long as I can...my darling...

Arnav was shocked when he heard all that...What the? Who was she hiding in the room? His temper rising?? Who was it? He was sure Shyam was not in town...Then who...He raised his hand and knocked as loud as he could and screamed...Khushiii...Open this door...who is inside with you??

Khushi jumped at hearing his voice...What should she do now? She told her companion...I must hide you...OR he will take you away from me...Come hide here...come on...She could hear Arnav knocking on the door repeatedly...She had to open the door now...She knew if she didn't, he would break the door down and discover her secret...Khushi was now in big trouble...
