Top Heroines want Salman, SRK and Hrithik: Sunny Deol

In his latest outing, Singh Saab The Great, veteran actor Sunny Deol has shared screen-space with a newcomer Urvashi Rautela, who is 38 years younger than him.

When asked why he always opts for heroines less than half his age, Sunny said "We are acting, we are not really husband and wife. If she's much younger, that's fine. Many wives are much younger than their husbands. And by the way, I am sure Urvashi Rautela is not 19 either."

Known for his blunt remarks, the 57-year-old actor says that the top heroines in the industry are no longer keen on working with him.

"I've had problems with established heroines. They don't want to work with me. The top heroines turn me down whenever I ask them to work with me. They want to work with Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan."

Sunny was also quick to add that signing new heroines has its own advantages.

"I search for new heroines, like Urvashi Rautela because these girls do not ration dates. While working on a film, I don't have to deal with my heroine's tantrums when she's a newcomer. Also, I get a chance to give new talent to the film industry. So yes, I'll be seen with new co-stars in the future. And trust me, these new girls won't look mismatched with me. I am open to adapting myself to the changes around"

Why wouldn't they want to work with Salman-Amir-SRK? An actress's career in Bollywood is much shorter than an actor's. Why won't they want to do films with bigger stars so they can stick around longer? Sunny is an old guy, he is still doing movies. But where is Rani-Kajol-Karishma? People who were actually a whole lot more talented than he will ever be? They are not even seen anymore. Just because they are women and older, they don't get good work. Why, people started saying how Kareena was over after this flop because she has crossed thirty. So when they won't be able to do movies after thirty anyway, then why would they waste it with you?

Why can't he just retire?

Of course Sunny will justify himself. After all his dad not only married younger women but also continued to romance much younger girls - including Mallika Sherawat till a few years ago!

Can they explain why they don't take slightly older heroines like Rani and Preity? I am sure they are not as aged as he himself is!

Heroine should be top or some really young girl whereas hero can be a rotten old barrel!

Why does he crib? Weren't top heroines preferring to work with him, Anil,Jackie and upcoming Khans in 80s and 90s than work with Amitabh or Dharmendra? Hasn't he enjoyed that phase?

He claims he and his 19 year old heroine aren't playing typical husband and wife, then what's that kissing scene being repeated in promos?

Sunny Deol's talented and should do respectable and suitable roles like those of army general or a historical character of some warrior or rebel leader instead of doing typical hero roles.

BTW how does he claim to be "sure" that his new heroine is not 19? 😆

Sadly heroine in BW has a short career once they touch 30 they don't get offer lead roles anymore, it's the sad bitter truth. An 40/50 year old man can be paired up with a teen girl and no one would care nor pass judgments.

But I would love to see BW doing a movie like "The Reader" type.

His rants are indeed fireworks! 😆 He is still kind of sober now. His interviews to print media in 80s and around Gadar times were dhamaal.

I want him with SRK or Adi Chopra and then rant his heart out on Darr controversy and misgivings. 😉
