BEING HUMAN: Salman Khan, The King Of Hearts!

Salman Khan, along with Sajid Nadiadwala, arrived to support the Koli Mahotsav, which kickstarted on Friday, November 22, 2013 in Mumbai.

Raj Thackeray, founder of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MMS), was also present at the opening ceremony. This three day festival showcases the rich culture of Mumbai's original inhabitants, and is backed by the MMS. The festival will see participation from almost all "Koliwadas" (fishermen's villages) in and around Mumbai.

The major attraction of this festival are the Koli dance performances and a wide range of seafood available at the stalls. More than forty five stalls offering variety of seafood dishes have been set. Around ninety thousand people are expected to attend the festival.

The Koli community is an ethnic group, mostly living alongside the coastal regions of India. They were amongst the first inhabitants of Greater Mumbai.

Salman Khan stole away hearts of everyone present. He was welcomed with cheers, and the crowd was totally uncontrollable. It looked like a political rally, and the moment Salman took over the stage, every line he said got a roaring acknowledgement.

Salman spoke about how his parents met.

The idea behind this three day festival is to make more people aware about the Koli culture, and to encourage and support the younger generation of the Kolis to become entrepreneurs. The festival has also become a common ground for the community to interact with each other.

And Salman Khan, fondly known as Being Human Khan and Bollywood's Golden Hearted Man, was a real treat for the festival. Known for his kindness, and supporting various causes, who better than Salman Khan to inaugurate this festival?

Salman Khan looked dapper in a black Being Human t-shirt, and jeans.

"We salute Salman Khan, he's the real king of Bollywood. I will always remember this day," said an ecstatic fan, present at the event. True that!
