So I went to watch this film last night with my husband. It is one of the last showings in the UK so was lucky to catch it .
What an experience. Excuse me for my unabashed appreciation of all people responsible for this film. The way it has been put together does make watching it an experience.
Deepika - she has already played the role of a khullam khulla pyar karne wali with no reservation in Cocktail but in this film she took itfurther with the way she played her emotional/ssensitive side and showed her love for her family as well as try and maintain a connection with Raam. The second half in particular was where she shone in her avatar of expectant lover and then her scorn
Ranveer - wow what a guy. His entry, his bold daring attitude against his family and then his submission was played out so well. I liked two scenes in particular - where his brother is shot how he goes from laughing to rage and hurt. The second was when he's negotiating with deepika as the heads of their clans. He's affected by her every word. Wow.
I enjoyed this film of SLB even more than HDDCS. THAT'S BIG FOR ME. slb has done a fine job in making everything so elaborate with out it being boring.
The scenes between raam leela from the love, lust, nok jhok, intense arguments were riveting. I was so engrossed as was my husband.
