Hey Guys,
I have found an article from a rival site and it mentions Anas's thoughts on World Television Day and his experience!
Anas Rashid: Television has changed my life. There was a time when I used to roam on streets searching for work. I never thought that my show (Diya Aur Baati Hum) will be so popular and will reach the numero uno position. In these many years I have earned a lot of fame and gratitude from people; which has been overwhelming. And of course, television gives one a name, fame and money. Who doesn't want this in today's life? Television has made me a star overnight. The only thing that bothers me is passage of time. You can do play a lead but eventually you will be offered a father's role. Even the rules won't change for someone as big as SRK. So somewhere, I feel television has a short span of life.

I disagree that TV offers short span of life...if you are talented enough opportunities will knock...take SRK or Ram Kapoor or others...I am sure Anas will rise far and above...for him it is not short for sure...

I agree with you Shant...if you have talent and dedication you can rise in any profession. In the tv industry there is so much to gain and in the article Karan Tacker said in his statement that there is a high employability rate so if talent is there you are guaranteed a job once you have a name so Anas has nothing to worry about he has been in the industry I think for 7 years. I don't really understand why he said that? Maybe because he has had his struggles in his career.

I think he is worried that he might just lose his yrs doing this daily soap, n lose out on other movie opportunities. This show is doing good, can go on for years. but can't get complacent. Sometimes when one works from morning till night continuously, we lose track of our ambitions. Every now n then we have to asses where we r going in our career, if this is the right track we want to be in, or change strategies, companies,.etc. in movie industry this might be the right time for him to jump in. 40's n 50's, he won't get hero roles. He is probably doing some serious thinking n career planning.

Geeth...Yes I agree with you he is already in his 30's and as far as I know he doesn't have any movie experience if he wants to step into Bollywood and yes it could hinder his chances of getting the hero roles like you have said. I don't think he will leave this show at any point...he is the soul of the show without him Sooraj wouldn't be the way he is. I would stop watching. Lets see what happens!

Without suraj no dabh. He is the soul of the show. Anas' acting ( n Neely Jis n kanicas ) acting carries the show, though iam sandy, deepika fan! Can't imagine dabh without Anika.

They can wind up the show in one or two yrs at the most even if they manage to stretch it. IPS, tabar, sandy managing work - family conflicts, show done. As it is anas, deepika get marginal screen time most of the time. Anika have to think beyond the show, i guess.

And thanks for sharing the article.😊

I kind of agree with Anas for the first time 😆...the show being a huge success could became a big hindrance for him to look for opportunities in future...no doubt he is doing so good as suraj but people may stereotype him with that character...the same goes to deepika...comparison will come for sure in their next shows...

talking about Ram Kapoor, no doubt he is a good actor but if you look at the roles he played they are very similar to one another...he went to do movies but they are not major roles and people identify him as a serial actor doing a movie, not as a movie actor...SRK and Vidhya Balan are one of a very few TV artists who made very big in bollywood, it cant happen to all, even with hardwork; coz not all who do hardwork succeeds in movie industry, you need luck too...
