All these people had ultimately started off from Star One and its Great Indian Comedy Show and Laughter challenge. Too bad all have split up to different channels now.
Sunil is senior to Kapil in Hindi TV industry. He has his own talent. I will miss him in Kapil's show but I respect him and like his work as audience. Even in brief appearances he has been good like he was in Ghajini. His segments on Sahara and Filmy, especially his imitation of SRK are still remembered.
I wish him all the best for his future endeavours.
People should remember that presence of big stars as guests also makes a difference in viewership. Other shows have mainly or only comedians and no celeb guests or only small stars come there. Whereas Comedy Nights has interviews with big stars apart from fabulous comedians and their skits.
It's not fair to say Sunil and Manish's show won't get audience. If it is nice, conducted, conceptualised and promoted well then there is no doubt that it will gets its own share of success.
I hope Sunil doesn't give a damn to any legal notice and does whatever act he wants to, and anywhere he wants to! Even Kapil and Chandan had done their Shamsher and Harpal acts on various channels like Star One, NDTV Imagine, Sony and now Colors. Where was so called copyright issue then? Should Star One or Sony issue legal notices to all artistes who performed on their shows banning them from doing similar acts elsewhere?
Anyway fights and fallouts are ugly and I still wish all of them were a team and we got full on dhamaal as viewers with all of them performing acts together. I'll miss others when I see Sunil's show as much as I miss Sunil when I see Kapil's show. 😕
