Why do you think Jalal did all this to save Jodha from being defamed in front of his ammijaan? Obviously because he trusts and believes her. And as I said he did it even before he got the proof that she is not pregnant. Initially he was shocked and felt betrayed but still he didn't say anything in front of everyone and performed all the rituals bearing the burden of betrayal. If he wanted he could have easily said its not my child but he didn't because deep down he respected her or feels something more for her than meets the eye which he himself is not aware of. And after the showdown with Jodha he somehow knew something is wrong somewhere which is not visible to the sight and to solve this puzzle he took help of Salima begum. You know he can be an Emperor but not a god, how will he know how the female constitution works and being a human being he will trust a doctor or hakim. He was baffled but he overcame all his doubts and took the blame on him because he TRUSTS Jodha!

Well about Jodha, she felt humiliated and insulted because her character and honor was put to question. Its a huge thing for any woman be it a begum, princess or a commoner. So she will take time to overcome this. About respecting Jalal, I don't know...I will keep quiet! Because Jodha till date has not shown that civil side to Jalal, so respect has a long way to come in the picture. And before respecting I want Jodha to be a little grateful, a little polite and little soft in her manners towards Jalal. I will be happy if I see that in her. For the time being this will keep me satisfied. 😊

Jalal is already hit by the fever, he just doesn't realize it yet! 😃 Or else he wouldn't have done all that which he did for Jodha!

I don't blame Hamida Bano! For any mother-in-law its a huge blow that her daughter-in-law who is supposedly pregnant is not carrying her son's child and you have to understand she is the Mallika-e-Azam, the Queen Mother of the nation. Do you think she would have kept quiet if this news was true? And to top it all it was back in 16th century.

The kings or Emperor can have innumerable affairs or illegitimate children or affairs, nobody questions them and it is prevalent in the modern times as well but when it comes to producing an heir immediately every step or measure is taken to assure that its the royal lineage and blood who will inherit the throne.

From her point she was completely justified. And in fact if she had sided with Jodha on this issue I would be baffled and have thought something is wrong with her. This made Hamida more human to me and showed she thinks and worries as the Queen Mother should instead of turning a blind eye because Jodha is her favorite. If she accepted Jodha today then all the begums will start getting pregnant left, right and center without the help of Shahensha and she would have had to accept every one because she can't play favorites being the Queen Mother or a mother-in-law. All the other begums would have revolted otherwise. She was completely correct in the step she took to question Jodha.
