So I'm just going to start off by saying that I'm done with the quotes that I put at the beginning. They don't really make a difference besides hinting at what's in the upcoming update. Secondly, this update is short for a reason. Third, I've got good news for you all. I have a new FF in the making. Don't worry, it won't be posted until this is done. I know I'm not the same Pritt who used to be able to run four FFs at one time anymore. It's hard for me now because of school work. So, the FF in the making will be posted once it's completely done so I'll be able to give daily updates. BUT I do have an outline ready for it already with summaries of what will happen in each chapter (I'm excited!). I plan for it to be around 50 chapters just as Dark Ties was. So keep yourselves looking forward to that. It's called Fallen Star and the sneak-peak banner for it is at the end of this update (it's not a finalized banner though, it may change). That's all the hints you get to what the future FF is about. But you won't be able to read it until it's completely done. For the following chapter of this FF, enjoy! Oh and I haven't sent out PMs for the last update yet. I plan to do that soon, maybe now.
Chapter Fifteen - The Pills
I hated him. I hated my life. I had even begun to hate myself because of him. I left the hall and headed straight towards the emergency pills cabinet. I rummaged through the cabinet but was unable to find what I was looking for. I sighed and left the room. I glanced up towards RK's room and shook my head. I headed to his room. I didn't bother knocking; I just walked into his room. He was pacing back and forth and didn't notice me, so I called his name.
"RK."
He turned to face me, surprised as I caught him off guard.
"Have you heard of knocking?"
I didn't respond. I waited for him to speak as my eyes scanned his room for what I was looking for.
"Are you looking for something?"
"Huh? Oh...no...nothing."
"What's up with the wandering eyes then?"
"Why'd you call me here RK?"
"To answer your questions."
"I have a lot of questions on my mind. I know you won't answer them."
"I'm willing to answer them now. It's now or never. It's up to you."
I contemplated asking him what I wanted to know and figured I had nothing to lose.
"How'd you know my family?"
He let out a sarcastic laugh.
"Family? Really? That's what you're going to ask? Not something like What happened at the party?'"
"I'm getting there."
"Well, about your family...I didn't know them. My father did. He worked with your father."
"What...? But my father was a junior artist..."
"And my father a producer. He produced a film in which your father had a small role. They became good friends."
"My family...knew yours...?"
"What's your next question?"
"Set ablaze...wh..."
He didn't let me finish. He raised a hand and closed his eyes.
"That is the one question I was dreading."
I stared at him, waiting for an answer. He turned his back towards me.
"Your father and mine in fact...saw Aakash Mehra and Raj Malhotra dealing drugs with Harry Agarwal and a few other known directors..."
"No...no...don't..."
I knew where he was headed with what he was saying. I couldn't stand to hear it. I didn't want to hear it. I quickly turned around, placing my hands over my ears. As I was running towards his door, I saw a pill bottle on the table near the door. I grabbed it and ran. I ran in tears towards my room, locking myself in it as I reached it. I collapsed on my bed, breaking down into tears. My family had been murdered. Murdered. My life story was somehow connected to RK's...
It didn't make sense. I didn't deserve to live. I was supposed to die in that fire along with my family. I was supposed to suffer in the flames just as they had.
I glanced down at the pills in my hands, knowing RK slept with sleeping pills. I opened the bottle and emptied the pills into the palm of my hand. I stared at the pills and then glanced up.
"Ma...Papa...Didu...I'm coming to you..."
And with that I swallowed the pills, closing my eyes to let them take effect.
