Katrina Turquotte: Hypocrite or just dumb?

So I happened to watch Zoom tv for my weekend dose of humor and le, guess what I noticed.

There was a segment on Aamir refusing to endorse fairness creams whereas SRK unabashedly endorses it. Just the usual for Zoom, trying to cook up a Khan war.

So when the media person asks Aamir if he would endorse a fairness cream if offered, he says no, and speaks at length about how it is important to be proud of the way we are, with any skin color because every color is beautiful, and blah blah blah.

This was from the Dhoom song release press meet and Katrina was sitting right beside him was nodding away to glory in agreement to whatever Aamir was saying against fairness creams.

But doesn't she endorse Olay's fairness cream?

So how come she was agreeing with whatever Aamir was saying when she believes in something completely different - that you have to be fair to look beautiful.

That made me open this topic. Is she a hypocrite or she is too dumb to take a stand to express her view?

Lol why would she cut Aamir's speech to say "No you are wrong,Indians are obsessed with white skin so I endorse and apply fairness cream on my already olive skin to whiten it further and earn more crores"? At the end of the day she is smart enough to exploit the Indian market and endorse whatever products which makes her more rich and famous.

she endorses products for her bread and butter- it does not mean what ever she endorses she believes in it. She also endorses veet but gets a bikini wax done!

Bread and butter? She earns an amount for doing one item song what 90% of Indians cannot earn in a lifetime. So this bread and butter is bull crap.

And no, she is a big star. She has so many fans, she has no right to make them feel inferior by saying only white is beautiful. They give her so much love, is this the way to return it? By saying they're not pretty if they're not fair?

Anyways, my problem is not with her endorsing it, problem is her not taking a stand. If she agrees with what Aamir said about being proud of one's skin color and yet she goes ahead and endorses fairness creams, that paints a very poor picture of her as a youth icon.

Her endorsing Veet and getting bikini wax done is different - not every woman can afford bikini wax, hence Veet is for those people. I have no problems with her endorsing it.

No need to cut his speech or anything and say he's wrong. That's his opinion and if her opinion is that only fair is beautiful then it's nothing "wrong" either, it's just her opinion.

Why nod in agreement to every word he said as if she really believes in loving one's skin color when she is the brand ambassador for a fairness cream herself. This just goes to show how fake and hypocritical she is.. that she can do anything for money, that she has no moral principles or ethics of her own.

KAJOL endorses Olay too, SRK, Priyanka, Deepika etc. endorses fairness creams also.

Well none of those stars you mentioned say that every skin color is beautiful and then endorse fairness creams.

Katrina is doing both. Hence, a hypocrite.

What was she supposed to do ? She was not promoting Olay there - she was there to promote her movie. She does not claim to be an activist or anything like that .
