More than one divorce documents for one invalid Nikah? - Page 2

Great Post .. I haven't been commenting on these topics because it seemed very confusing to me. After reading the posts some very interesting points were addressed . Both positive and negative . My understanding now is there is more traditional laws being trampled on than religious ones . What I observed is that the traditions varies a little by each section of society . Religious laws are carved in stone and cannot be touched but traditions were man made and changes with time accordingly to suit the situation . I think the story will lead in this direction to clarify that some of these traditions needs to be altered because it goes aganist all religious beliefs and it's laws . Meaning .. Nazma & Imran together with Nikat & Farhan both had weddings per to codes of Islam .. But Zoya & Ayaan's was based on the rules generated by the elders who controls society .. This marriage holds merits only by the law makers which in reality seems to control all and very fiercely . So it will be interesting to see how this marriage is dissolved and what can be done to stop it from happening in the future. This is only my opinion based on my observations .

There could be another way out of this nikkah mess. Didn't the maulvi say that if one nikkah is invalid, then all the others would be also? Perhaps they could show one of the other nikkahs was invalid so voila Zoyaan nikkah is also. The maulvis are forced to inform all the couples about the mess up and invite them for a redo. Zoya and Ayaan decline of course. But, the mess up gets in the press. So it becomes public knowledge that Zoyaan was never actually married.

O my brain is working overtime on ways to invalidate this nikkah. 😆 Hope it gets done soon.
