Dreamygal,
I think up to this point I have been giving writers a break. If nothing else I have been trying my level best to make sense out of everything that has been shown. Also you are judging me on this one post. Yes I do not like Satya, but I am not saying he is not needed. There is a difference. An overdose is an overdose. I am not sure if you recall, but the first person to support Satya's entry on this forum was really me. Having said that - I do understand his importance in the story.
GG no way am I judging you! I know what a huge fan you are and have always found your posts positive.😊 I understand what you mean by overdose but see I didn't want to get too technical. Like you when I sit down to watch a show, whether western or Indian, I am a viewer demanding to see the story promised to me. I too couldn't digest too much of Satya because I could see the damn writing on the wall---especially with the new montage and the sudden awareness that the title of the show actually has double meaning🤢. So like you I was unhappy and wished that I didn't see the technical side of it! believe me, often my profession as a writer is detrimental to enjoying a good show because I'm too busy analysing and picking up clues.
The problem is that everything has been rushed in this show to accommodate DM and Satya's entry I so agree! even during that time I kept saying why are they rushing? I felt uncomfortable with some of the so called romance scenes because it felt forced, the dialogues cringing. Within 5 weeks, Raghu and Antara went from falling in love to confessing to engagement to marriage to judaai...While I understand Satya and DM have their importance in the story... but the way the events unfolded - there was a disconnect and that too at the cost of Rantara... but EVEN then I was giving them a break and I said chalo maybe its TRP pressure. They got to get to the drama I think there was trp pressure but more, just going back to what writers do, Often the story starts with a huge concentration on hero and heroine and what we call setting the scene and the plot points. Then the antagonist needs to be introduced, which is where DM and Satya came in. We got so used to seeing Rantara that the backlash was we could not digest too much of the other. I understand that.. its not like I am sitting here everyday expecting perfection and coochie cooing... but yes I do have some expectations and why wouldnt I? I watch this show and invest time. Absolutely! we all have expectations and off course would feel disappointment when that did not happen. What I intended with my posts is to say that soon we will get back to Rantara romance. I see the need for this track (though personally I find it cliched and would not have gone with it!😃) but had truly hoped they would give us other unseen and unheard of twists but since they had started this then we owe it to our hardworking Stars to support them all the way through. It is my personal view, no way am I castigating anyone. But if it starts getting too nonsensical even I will give it up. I have better things to do with my time!😊
Coming to my expectations.. this sums it up for me... and even here I have only been giving CVs a break... btw its not a crime to criticize... Jut the way we show appreciation there will be some criticism as well. No it is not a crime to criticise, in fact everyone learns from it. But there was a post here saying writers have been tweeted and etc to change track and still didn't do it, and I wanted to explain why that is not possible to give some background information. Writing is hard and is not something that is plucked out from the air as I think many in the forums feel. Good writing has so much planning behind it that by the time of execution many things are already in place and therefore cannot be changed because few people do not like certain scenes or track. I think at the end of the day it is an individual choice whether one carries on watching or not. But as a writer I felt the need to explain and defend my profession!😊
