Kapil Sharmas woes continues

Television comedy had a presence from the earliest days of broadcasting. The range of television comedy is extremely broad to the extent that anything under the heading comedy can be put before an audience through the medium of television. However, it is true to say that very few genres of comedy were able to present it effectively.

Comedy Nights with Kapil have been successful to deliver its genre of comedy to its audience and it would not be wrong to say that it has not only become a famous show between common people but also in between the celebrities of the country. In the very short span of time, the show has gained strong rating as well as loyal audience to favor its TRP.

But, it would not be wrong to say that when things are not in favor of you then difficulties come from all the directions and the same is going on with our lead comedian Kapil now-a-days.

An immense fire broke out in the set of our very own favorite comedy show, Comedy Nights with Kapil on Wednesday (25th Sept, 2013) morning around 8:30 located at Goregaon (East), Mumbai and turned every piece of the set into ashes. The actual reason of the accident is yet unknown and officials are still investigating on it but for the time being it is informed that a curtain caught fire because of a short circuit following which the flames spread.

The fire was so massive that only the ruins of the place can be found out and nobody can believe that not too long ago, there was a full-fledged architecture of our favorite show. The media estimates the loss to be in crores but is it actually possible to calculate the loss of the emotions and the attachment which the team had for it or we as viewers have.

It is very unfortunate for a show which is actually leading the television industry in such a short period of time to face such a drastic setback.

The week is behaving as an unfavorable one for him, as first, he got the depressing news of the fire breaking out in his set and later he got grilled by the Mumbai Service Tax department for five long hours. He has been accused of evading the service tax to the tune of 65 lacs which according to the officials of the Service tax dept, he himself has registered before but somehow was unable to pay. Kapil has assured to pay the tax by demand draft soon. But it is not fair in the part of the officials to harass a person when he himself feels responsible for the same.

The mishap has lead the cast and crew into a very adverse situation but we are sure that nothing can move the strong foundation though one of his pillar has shaken but the most important pillar - the loyal viewers are still standing beside them.

"The relationship which this show has with its audience is very unusual and hence we strongly consider that we will recuperate our show in the same conduct without any break." Kapil said to his viewers after the fire incident.
