This is a 'hair' related post. So if you think you've had enough of it, then don't bother reading. So as from what I've heard, KSG has decided to get a pony again... for Asad!

Honestly, I hate this unprofessional attitude of actors in Indian Television. You ought to play your role to perfection and get into the character so much that you start believing in their emotions and actions. Your body language plus the look given to the character is a glimpse of the type of man he is. So what are the CVs trying to convey that a man with an OCD who prefers staying clean shaped and neat has a freaking-PONY, like seriously, a business tycoon at that! Or architect, what ever he is that he pretends to be in office.

If there is one big reason that the English shows command respect is the story line, acting, of course is top notch, but most MOST importantly, the characterisation of each and every character, the consistency of the character is the heart of every damn show! Even a small supporting cast has a bloody purpose to serve! So when KSG decides to have a freaking PONY, no matter how good an actor he maybe, no matter how many awards he's won with that super star tag, he is an amateur in his profession to not prioritise his role for crying out loud. A worthy mention, even in our Indian cinema, Aamir gained 6 packs for his movie, Ghajini and immediately put his body-building uilding efforts to drain and gained weight for his next, 3 idiots! Now that's professionalism and that's what's required of an actor! You want fame, you have to earn it. Do your job.

Basically, KSG just cut your hair, not cause I care of how you look in real life but I care of how Asad should look. Please justify your character. 😊 😛 😊

WORD!! I absolutely love you for calling out the unprofessionalism that is his hair!!! In his quest to do what he wants and respect only a "select few people" he is being highly disrespectful to the character of Asad and the fans of that character and show.

He has talent but honestly right now he needs a 101 on how to behave in a professional set up. Being popular is great but being unprofessional will not only make him unpopular it will lose him jobs. I guess he doesn't care about that. :-/

Well said! As much as I like KSG as an actor, Asad's unkempt hair is annoying and out of character! I had heard he really gets into the character and we have seen it before. So, what changed?

In the Diwali dance BTS, the director was explaining to the choreographer that Asad's movements had to be subtle due to his personality. I wonder if they think a "traditional" Indian man sporting a gelled back pony is subtle! The guy can't bear a crease on linens but is ok looking unkempt and pushing his hair back every other minute. 😲

I wonder if he took a dare!! 😆

It is very disappointing to see him like this, especially when they were showing flashback scenes. Oh my god he looked so hot and handsome. I miss the old asad so much, I just can't reate to his character anymore. Now it's only KSG playing himself, asad is nowhere.

It doesn't look like he is planning to cut his hair anytime soon. I am surprise that the producers have no say in this.

I love KSG but this is a big NO.

OMG...hug goes to you...I don't care wht KSG does with his hair, but as asad he really need a hair cut... Every time i see him onscreen with pony tail... I could see KSG not asad...a man who hates girls cutting their hair, should know boy don't grow there hair(while m not telling they can't, but it's just believed that boys should have short hair) and put it in pony tail... If he had the gut to yell at najma for cutting her hair, thn he should definitely have d gut to cut his hair...
Another thing to add, don't kill me it's just wht I think...His forehead looks huge when all the hair is pulled back on pony tail...

Karan with such a hair style looks hot!
But the problem that keeps popping up is that in every interview of his is asked when he is cutting his hair his answer is wait it will be good!
Like what are you waiting for? I cant!

There is a reason why so much time is spent on the looks of any character beforehand, even long hair is not Asad, ponytail is definitely big no. He is taking his personal obsession way too far with this..

Song was OK as it was private affair between these two at night, but Asad with ponytail at breakfast table in full daylight

Great post!👏

I am so glad that you decided to post this. I completely agree with you.
I personally admire Karan's acting, his ability to portray the emotions of the character - be it a fun and silly character or an uptight person, but this hairstyle thing has been irking me for so long.

There are actors who decide shave off their heads, chop their hair, lose abnormal amounts of weight, build their bodies, and what not for their parts in movie/television - that's what you HAVE to do if you have signed up for a role that requires all of your dedication. Its a mark of an actor's involvement with the project.

An actor does his/her role for a living. It's his/her freaking JOB. And not adhering to your character's outlook and such unprofessional approach may as well mean you are slacking at your job, missing deadlines if you work a regular job.

I have similar issues with Shalini (Dilshad). Her hairstyle change, although its not as extreme, it has still made her lose the elegance that was Dilshad Khan.

Okay. End of rant.
