Marhaba,
Welcome to the second thread of Forced Marriage.
Thank you so much for the love you show for the story. It's really overwhelming 🤗
I feel like sharing something with you now just to let you know how I got the storyline of the FF. My cousin, who is a friend of mine, got married forced by my uncle. If it were not because of him, she would have never agreed to get married. That's how the idea of a forced marriage came. But then, I did not want the story to be like her life, I wanted change. The stubbornness of Khushi and my cousin's is almost the same. If I got married when I was eighteen, probably I would have been just like Khushi; not that I'm against the idea of marriage or I was immature, but I really was not ready for marriage, and the proposals I got made me more stubborn (Just like Khushi from my other FF The Twilight. Hehehe).
Not that I would fantasize my married life to be like this. Not at all! With the dreams I have I cannot compromise my life for someone... a mere stranger. Thankfully, Papa understands this, but Mama sometimes is too much especially if the potential groom is good in her standards, she would ask Papa to agree just like what she did on the last Monday! We can't just take any decision in life in a hurry and of course not marriage; the consequences might be destructive sometimes.
I really sometimes wonder how arranged marriages work? But Mama words echo in my mind at thinking of this question when she says, "When I was sitting beside your father on a chair or our wedding ceremony, he pointed at a girl saying that she was his girlfriend. But now look at how we are. The smart woman is the one who can make her husband only hers and made him forget all the girls before her."
Many of you wish to get a husband like Arnav, right?
On Monday too, I watched the last scenes of 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' which had me thinking if any of you relate this story to the movie somehow or not! The lyrics shown down fits perfectly with the coming chapters. I really want to know if anything around you reminds any of you of this FF, any encounters, any news, gossips or movies.
Na Kuch Poocha, Na Kuch Maanga
Tune Dil Se Diya Jo Diya
Na Kuch Bola, Na Kuch Tola
Muskura Ke Diya Jo Diya
Tu Hi Dhoop, Tu Hi Chaaon
Tu Hi Apna Paraya
Aur Kuch Na Jaanu, Bas Itna Hi Jaanu
What's said about marriage:
A great marriage is not when the 'perfect couple' comes together. It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.
A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person.
Khushi is forced to marry Arnav, who is ten years older than her, by her family.
The mere idea of being forced does not work well with Khushi that she convinced herself she will never be happy with such a man though she does not know the real reason behind this forced marriage.
