This was just enough! When they had stepped into the restaurant she thought she could finally get some privacy, but no! first they wandered to meet people at their tables and now people were joining them at their table. She sat their fake smiling with her lips covered with the peach lipstick and took a glance around, her blood boiled when she saw her husband talking to a random chick while she was left here in the corner, he was smiling through the conversation forgetting the fact that he was her husband, he was supposed to spend time with her.
Husband? Who was she kidding? He was much like a stranger to her, the one who had been with her through emotional breakthroughs but never really got to know her, she wanted him to know the real her, not the sophisticated lady who was covering up with a fake smile but the girl concealed within, who was seeking his attention.
Kriya twitched in irritation, she wanted to have a nice silent dinner, but these people around were getting to her nerves, they were driving her crazy.
When he saw her the first time she was an over weighed shy little daddy's princess but with time she grew up to be a beautiful lady, with her mothers charms and fathers intelligence, and innocence of a child who missed affection, he'd first met her on her sixteenth birthday which was being celebrated very quietly, he was eighteen then, a charming lad of a rich and powerful father, as the parents got around in their business affairs Rey took no time in to sneak her out to the towns most happening concert. He knew she wasn't used to being felt special. Shocked was an understatement she was bewildered and also afraid to a great extent, and when she asked him why he'd done that he grinned sheepishly
"You don't turn sixteen everyday" he had said and he still remembered the innocent smile she had given him, and then on he had seen Kriya growing slimmer and more attractive everyday, the huge amount of fat on her cheeks had vanished like anything! She used to beam like that of a school girl and with utmost innocence she used to giggle whenever he told her how beautiful she really was. Yes she was growing hot from cute, charming from chubby, and when she looked at him, oh those pair of blue eyes with deep sensitivity and a sense of insecurity in them. Her long thick lashes with a thin layer of purple eye shadow.. or mascara? Or highlighter maybe? He didn't knew, for him all was the same what he knew was that whatever it was it suited her perfectly.
When he'd touched her on her exposed back playfully she was shocked he could sense her shivering, and when she looked back and offered him a little smile with large wondering eyes, he just knew she had been successful in attracting him, and maybe she knew it too.
She was sixteen a virgin and a tremendously fat girl who had no dreams, no aspirations and no friends either she ate when she was depressed or lonely or weak or crying or doing any other activity i.e. she was always eating, food was her best friend, it didn't accuse her, or judge her, or look at like she were the most ridiculous creature ever, food was nice to her and it was always available.
Kriya was a highly reserved girl not because she hated people but because people hated her, and with time she had grown up with a huge "f**k off" sign on her face. But it was then, when her life changed. Sixteenth birthday, she was wished all sweetly sweetly, and given an expensive dress to get herself into; she hated it, why the hell was she asked to celebrate such nuisance? For her, birthdays didn't matter and birthday party? Well her father just made business deals with an another friend of his, she was highly disgusted, and then he came she found him charming and kind, he didn't look at her as if she were the most disgusting wreck but was generous enough to take her to one of the concerts, well, her birthday mattered more to him than her, and it had happened after that, suddenly the desire of eating vanished and the desire of looking more presentable engulfed her, she stopped eating and became much self conscious, looking presentable was something that mattered more to her now, she dieted, worked out and god! Did what not! Her social status improved and it was that party when all her efforts payed off when he flirted with her all night, moreover when he touched her exposed back sexily she could just turn back and look at him with her observant big eyes, and seemed to be lost in the beauty of the green glassy eyes of the guy. And it was that moment she realised she had feelings for him.
She saw him growing up to be an amazing male, his voice deepened, and physique changed and his eyes? They were the same, always the same, beautiful and childlike, she tried to copy each of his girlfriends, she noted their sense of styling carefully and shopped for long hours, then one day she suddenly stopped, she started to be more herself than others, started to think what she would like on herself except of thinking what he would.
Her efforts did pay off, he complimented her each and every time they met, either she would be in curls or straight hair he didn't care, he seemed to like everything on her, but she never believed him, for when she looked in mirror, she was expectant she wasn't satisfied and soon one fine day came when their parents asked them to get married, Kriya and Rey didn't object at all, they talked about it and he said he was fine with the idea while she was dancing mentally.

She had fallen for him as though he was going to catch her, but what she didn't knew was he had fallen for her just as hard as she did.
The marriage took place on 30th and they had flown of on 31st to Maldives for a silent and nice honeymoon, which was more like a business trip for him, he hadn't touched her ever since and he was busy ever since.
When the crowd became unbearable for her she got up and spoke exasperated "I haven't danced with my husband yet, please excuse us for a while" in a very polite yet fragile tone.
And then she saw him standing up smilingly and taking her little hand in his as the couple glided towards the dance floor, his arm curved on her back and hers rested on his shoulder as they moved with rhythm.
"You look angry" he said
"That's because I am" she retorted as her cheeks flushed as soon she felt his touch on her back. She was red as a tomato, he moved closer to her and hushed into her ear.
"Sorry Kri, but they would all be useful for the business in one way or another" and she without a word rested her head on his chest and closed her eyes, engulfing his rich male cologne. When she finally looked up she saw him looking at her in amazement,
"Would you like to go back to the suit?" he asked as she nodded. The drive was silent though once in a while one would sneak a glance at the other.
Once in the bedroom he picked her up in his arms like that of a new bride,
And It was going to be a long Night!
