Hi guys iam new too this section of the Forum!

and i wanted too know some info about this show!A few days a ago KZK and this show had a 1hr special and i saw this show and i was really interested!so i wanted too start this show!how long ago did this show start?and if it did start long ago can anyone update me a lil bit maybe the basic stuff soo i can start the show from like a month ago or something!

this looks like a really good show!please some people help me out!

Hi welcome 2 this Forum. Well Karam Apna Apna started at the same as when my fav serial Kavyanjali finished, but now this has also become my favourite. Karam Apna Apna started Aug 29 2006.

The serial is about a simple girl called Gauri Chatterjee. Gauri is played by Marathi actress Pallavi Subhash, Gauri has a sister called Kaaya and an aunt known as Maashimaa.

Basically it starts off that Gauri is 2 get married to Shashank (Sumit Sachdev), Shashank works in Mahen Kapoors company as an accountant. Gauri and Shashank fall in love with each otha, she then gets engaged 2 him but on the day of the wedding the groom changes to Shiv Kapoor (Iqbal Khan), Shiv Kapoor is the son of Mahen (Salil Ankola I think is his name) and Nikhila. Mahen Kapoor is a very big business man in Bombay. Gauri runs from the wedding but a kind man called Anupam (Hiten Tejwani) tells her 2 challenge her own fate and she marries Shiv. Anupam is a writer he writes love stories, he is in love with Ipshita (Shriya Bisht I think is her name) but she doesnt love him. Shiv in the beginning is very horrible 2 Gauri, makes her sleep on the floor but then he starts 2 become nicer 2 her as she is very caring 2wards him. Soon Gauri falls head over heals in love with Shiv, but he thinks that she misses her first love Shashank. Gauri shouts at Shiv 2 say she doesnt miss her first love as she loves him. At this point Shiv is feeling guilty as we find out (wen he is speaking 2 himself) that Shiv and Gauri's wedding was a very big plan. Devikaji wants 2 break Shiv and Gauri's wedding we do not know why, we know that Gauri's Baba is hiding sumthing from Gauri and Kaaya. L8r we find out that Shiv has a problem in his horoscope that his first wife wud die within 8 montns of getting married to him, at a party Devikaji sets fire to a curtain which is hanging outside the room that Gauri is sitting in, she does this order for the truth 2 come out. Shiv saves Gauri and in the end tells Gauri everything except one, we then find out Devikaji is Gauri's grandmother ( her l8 mother's mum). The plan was hatched up by Shiv's mum Nikhila as a guruji told her about Shiv's horoscope problem. Gauri leaves the house 2 live with her Baba but she keeps seeing Shiv everywhere as she loves him, she then goes bak 2 him accepting that she will one day die. We then find out that the wedding is only half the truth, the other half is that Shiv is love with Ipshita who Gauri thinks is Shiv's "best friend" (not! 😡 😡). They hav loved each other for many years since college, but they didnt get married coz of the problem in Shiv's horoscope. In time Balaji changed the actor playing Shiv to Yash Tonk as Iqbal left to get married 2 his girlfriend Sneha, many ppl on this forum including me call Yash Tonk uncleji as he is 2 old 2 b paired wit Pallavi who is 22 yrs old and they hav very little chemistry. But Iqbal and Pallavi had magnificent chemistry, which is why even after he has left Iqbal Khan is still regarded as the orginial Shiv for us he was Shiv and will always stay as Shiv. Anyway Anupam proposes to Ipshita she thinks about it and then says Yes as she knows Gauri is going 2 die. On the day of Anupam and Ipshita's engagement Gauri "slips" into the sea (as the engangment is held on a ship) but actually Shiv accidently pushes her in, he saves her but she is unconcious soon she comes round and Shiv shouts at her almost telling that she will die on 31st, she says she knows and they then consummate their marriage. Anyway, Gauri lives with Shiv until her accident on 29th Jan, 31st Jan is 2 b her deathday. But she survives (thank god! 👏 👏 👏 👏), Ipshita tells Shiv 2 divorce Gauri as she is alright now the problem in Shiv's horoscope was driven away by Gauri's very strong horoscope, there are no further problems and she will lead a happy married life til her death in old age. This is the point of where r upto in the UK, but in India the story is a bit ahead. In India, Gauri becomes pregnant wit twins, Shiv tells Ipshita he cant leave Gaurin as she and babies r his responsibility, Nikhila tries 2 kill the twins by giving Gauri wrong medication, Gauri tries 2 abort the twins then Anupam and Ipshita get married, Anupam finds out truth about Shiv and Ipshita. Then the serial takes a 5 year leap (dont know why, I dont think it was needed). There maybe update posts sumwhere, find them for more information into detail the story in the past month.

Sorry my post is very long, I decided to go into a little bit of detail. Anyway I hope this helps 😛 anymore information needed PM me or any other member on this Forum.

Some of us members on this Forum including me write Fan Fictions as u may know which is basically our own stories using some or all of the characters in this serial some are very good to read, some will hav u in laughter and some may leave u on the edge of ur seat (my one sumtimes does not all the time.) u can comment on these Fan Fictions (FF for short)

for the last month and a half from my point of view its gone down the drain lol
so if u really want to watch it trust me start from the start it was awsome till jan

No probs, as every1 on IF knows we welcome new ppl, so I helped angel_mimi92 by telling her the past 6 months story. Oh and yes rupi b iz totally rite wen Iqbal Khan played Shiv, the chemistry between Pallavi and Iqbal as ShivGauri woz mindblowingly magnificent n it put our screens on fire. We still think of Iqbal as Shiv and will always do so no matter wot. He will stay as Shiv 4eva
