Ram Gopal Varma has done it again - Satya 2 is his 16th back-to-back disaster. Has any other director in the history of Indian Cinema delivered more flops in a row? We doubt!
Satya 2 has collected around Rs 0.4 crore on its opening day at the box office, which is lower than the 8th day Mysore' circuit business of Krrish 3. Comparisons between the two films is unfair, but we are comparing an under-performing small circuit of Krrish 3 to the All-India business of Satya 2!
The reports are poor, so the film should collect around 1.25 crore in its first weekend and finish with lifetime business of less than 2 crore.
We called up a couple of exhibitors last afternoon to check on Satya 2. One of them said, that in a city like Delhi, not a single soul turned up to watch the morning show which had to be cancelled. The other exhibitor said, the occupancy was as low as 3-5% throughout the day.
Verdict: Disaster
