CHAPTER 26

Bani woke up as she felt Krishna's soft hand on her forehead.

'Mom?'

'Hmmm' Bani looked around her room. She was on her bed, Pushkar near her feet and Krishna by her side.

The setting seemed strange to her, last she remembered she was in her family room pleading with her Adi Bhaiya to let the secret of her whereabouts be unknown.

'Pushkar, I had the strangest dream, you were in it, and Krishna and…and Jai and Raashi and Ranveer they had a kid as well, Rahul. Adi Bhaiya was there also. First Ranveer and Raashi found me, because of out house looking exactly like the Walia Mansion. And then you went to their hotel to get their stuff with Ranveer and Jai was there and he followed Ranveer home and then we had an accident went off to cottage country and then when we came back Adi Bhaiya was here. It was so weird.' Bani stared dreamy eyed at Pushkar 'It was a dream wasn't it Pushkar?'

Pushkar shook his head, 'No it wasn't a dream you fainted while pleading with Adi Bhaiya. And all of them are downstairs right now. India se phone aya tha, Massi isn't feeling too well. Jai Bhai is really worried, he was here with you, I sent him downstairs.'

Bani like a robot got out of bed and went down the stairs. The house pitch black, only the light being reflected by the soft angle like white snow on the ground shone in through the windows.

Silence rang through the house as if no living soul occupied it, Krishna and Rahul, who usually caused a terrible lot of noise were nowhere to be seen or heard. Pushkar and Krishna had followed Bani out the room had disappeared in the darkness of the house.

As Bani descended into the darkness her every thought stray back to the times she had shared with Massi. It was because of Massi that she and Jai had fallen in love. Massi had been like a mother to Bani. A pang of guilt hit Bani as she stopped in the middle of her tracks. It was her, she was the reason that Massi was sick, she was the reason that Jai was still in Canada, she was the reason for everything.

Bani hurried her pace, she was ready to go back to India, even if it meant that bad memories and taunts would flow her way, she was ready, it was the least she could do for the two people who gave her life.

A jerk and Bani was now facing the opposite direction. Her heart beating against the chest she had leaned on many times. Her palms now sweaty. Her knees weak and her lips trembling.

'Tum?'

Aww....so Bani is ready to go to India and face the past for Massi dear as she is not feeling well.😃
