Salman Khan who? Katrina Kaif, Aishwarya party together

Like every year, this year too, the first family of Bollywood, the Bachchans, threw a Diwali party at their residence and close friends from the industry were invited.

Amitabh Bachchan was delighted to celebrate the festival of lights and wife Jaya Bachchan, son Abhishek Bachchan and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan played the perfect hosts.

Bollywood's rumoured couple Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif made an appearance together at the bash on Sunday (November 3).

This will be the couple's first outing together after the 'bikini expose' in Ibiza.

But what's more interesting is Katrina Kaif partying with Aishwary Rai Bachchan.

What do the two actresses have in common. Well, Salman Khan.

Katrina has been like a family member for the Khans and she has been one of their loyalists. A regular at all the family dos, Katrina was never really a regular at the Bachchan celebrations.

Moreover, Ash always wanted to stay clear of a Salman Khan loyalist like Katrina Kaif.

Just a few months ago while Abhishek Bachchan, Aamir Khan and Katrina were shooting for 'Dhoom:3' in Chicago, Aishwarya visited her husband.

Apparently, the two beauties bumped into each other and apart from a vague smile no pleasantries were exchanged.

Ash and Katrina have successfully managed to avoid each other at public functions, timing their entries and exits not to clash.

This Diwali it's a different story; Katrina is no longer a 'Khan girl' but has a new Bollywood link - the Kapoors.

Ranbir and Katrina arrived in the same car with a friend for the bash but made separate entries.

The actress has also built a good rapport with Abhsihek Bachchan after working with him in 'Dhoom:3'. Though the two were also part of 'Sarkar' (2005) but then Katrina was a complete newcomer in the industry.

At the bash Katrina was looking gorgeous in a lehnga, while Ranbir was looking dapper in black indo-western (bandgala). Ranbir Kapoor's father Rishi Kapoor was also present.

Though the entire Bollywood fraternity was present at the Diwali bash, all eyes were on Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor.

The two have been avoiding the cameras ever since their private beach pictures were leaked to the press.

Other celebrities who attended the party included Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Anushka Sharma, Alia Bhatt and Farah Khan, to name a few.
