Dear Ms khan,
As a viewer I only wanted to see a story displayed with utmost honesty. But time and again you have failed me as a viewer. There was a time when I had very strict reservations towards watching a woman being slapped, insulted. But, I still gave it a try because I tried to reason it as a man overly agitated with his mother's life ( although it doesn't justify his actions)...things began to settle down and slowly Asya as a couple began to make sense...but right there and then you spoiled it all by the whole trading of a woman fiasco. How in the world can a woman go back to the very same man who traded her? How can the couple erase everything that happened with mere lectures on love and destiny? Do you really think that we all live in a fools's paradise? No, life is real and when you declared that you wanted to depict the change of norms in a Muslim society...you morally took a responsibility toward the society and what you project?
How can I trust you as a storyteller when you have no clue whatsoever yourself ? Forget about me who is a international viewer but what about at-least being honest to yourself ? Are you morally true to yourself? Time and again in the recent interviews you very boldly said that Qubool Hai is not a lovestory...it's a family drama. And what do we see...it's a love story alright. You established it as a lovestory...you knew the power of Karan / Surbhi chemistry but yet you had to destroy it. Ms Gul, I am feminist but at heart I am a romantic...I enjoyed Asya as a couple but now after all this nonsense I cannot accept them as a couple. They are simply destroyed. The magic is gone and the story has been crippled. As a loyal viewer I feel betrayed.
A very disappointed viewer.
