After Nach Baliye 2 and performing at various stage shows, Tanaaz Lal and Bakhtyaar Irani are all set to turn to theatre.
Sources report that Tanaaz is in the process producing a play and will also be acting in it along with Bakhtyaar.
"They've been meeting a lot of TV actors and discussing the script with them. It's supposed to be an adaptation of an English play in Hindi," reveals an actor who is part of the project.
Couple capers
When quizzed about the hush-hush work underway on this play, Tanaaz refused to divulge too many details, only saying, "Yes, I am producing a play, but I can't reveal anything more at the moment." Will Bakhtyaar be a part of the show? "Of course. In fact, both of us will be performing to songs in it too."
Refusing to reveal the cast, she says, "The play will primarily have Bakhtyaar and me, along with lot of well-known television actors. It's an interesting ensemble."
All for a song
When asked what prompted her to go back to theatre, she says, "Well, wherever I went my fans would keep asking me when would they see me with Bakhtyaar on stage. I guess with our play, their wishes will be granted. We won't be just dancing but also acting."
Sources also reveal that the couple has specially choreographed some dance acts on numbers that have been written keeping the plot in mind.
"They have picked up loads of popular Hindi songs and changed the lyrics keeping the story in mind. It's not like a parody, but the same songs with different wordings."
Title tattle
The play doesn't have a title yet, but Tanaaz says she will be revealing all very soon. "With both of us performing and acting, it definitely will be one crazy ride," she promises.
