I know this is bad but I have an aunt who is a year older than me, she married my uncle. I'm from the Gujarati culture so it's assumed that I would call her 'Chachi' but because she's so close to my age I don't call her chachi at all. Whereas I have another auntie whom I've known all my life, shes three years older than me and I call her 'Foi', she's very uncomfortable with it but because I've said it all my life, if I didn't say it then I would be uncomfortable. But that doesn't mean I'm disrespecting the other auntie, it really depends on circumstance and time too.
