Preity Zinta donates KBC prize money

Bollywood star Preity Zinta has donated a sum of Rs 25 lakh to the Shimla District Red Cross Society, Shimla ADM Ajay Sharma said.
Preity donated the amount she had won in the special Holi episode of the Kaun Banega Crorepati show of March 1, he said in a release in Shimla on Saturday.
Preity and Rani Mukherjee had won a cash prize of Rs 50 lakh in the March 1 Holi special episode hosted by Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan .
Preity has donated her part of the cash prize to the Society to help it in carrying out its welfare activities, Sharma said.
Meanwhile, the Society has purchased an ambulance and a dead body van from the donation, Shimla Deputy Commissioner Tarun Kapor said.
