The gopikas saw Radha rushing to the spot and became very excited. They welcomed Radha and ushered her to Krsna. Krsna bowed. "Welcome, Your Majesty. Please wait here. Your most faithful friend Chandravali has to arrive." Radha laughed.
Suddenly, they felt the temperature drop by five degrees. The air in front of Krsna shimmered and a dazzling white form appeared. Slowly, the light dimmed and the gopikas saw who it was. Some Devi perhaps? They looked at the face of the Goddess and gasped. It was... Chandravali.
"Chandravali? What has happened to you?! Why is your body like this, translucent and pale?"
Chandravali smiled and looked at Krsna. "The Lord called me, and so I broke the fetters of my material body. This is but my spiritual form. My material body is, at present, as you would say, 'lifeless'."
The gopikas took a step back. "Meaning? You are - a g-ghost? You are no longer alive?"
Indumukhi chuckled. "My life now wholly depends on Krsna. If he so desires, I shall leave this life forever."
Krsna was pleased. "You have proved yourself, Chandravali. Your bhakti is steadfast towards me!" He turned to the other gopikas. "But why are you all so gloomy? Today is a night of festivity! You should all be cheerful!"
He took his flute, and began playing the raga Aarabhi, the raga of excitement and happiness. "Dwell in the music Gopikas! Let the Maharasa Leela begin!"
He continued playing the notes of the divine raga. The gopikas arranged themselves in a circle, with Radha and Krsna in the centre. They raised their hands in the air, and with gusto, began clapping them in rhythm, going around the divine couple.
***Location: Swarga
Indra was enjoying the Apsara's dance. The beautiful steps they made, along with the music of his Gandharvas produced an untold happiness. He enjoyed the dance and music of theirs. As he was clapping his hands in rhythm, he felt that someone else was clapping rhythmically. He looked around, and signalled the Gandharvas and Apsaras to stop. Listening closely, he heard a flute! He instantly understood it. Lord Krsna had begun his Rasa Leela in Vrindavana! He summoned all the Devas, Gandharvas, Apsaras, Kinnaras, Vidyadharas and Siddhacharanas and flew to Vrindavana. Lo and Behold! The sight they saw was a beautiful one! The gopikas, in a circular pattern, were going around Lord Krsna and Devi Radha. He asked his apsaras and Gandharvas to accpomany the Leela. They immediately started singing and dancing!
"Takita Dhrimi Tataka Takadhimi Dheem Thaka Thaka Dhika Tom Taka Tom Taka Dhirana!
Vanaja Nayana Radha Mukha Madhukara Rasika Rasikavara Rasa Vilasa!
Takita Dhrimi Tataka Takadhimi Dheem Thaka Thaka Dhika Tom Taka Tom Taka Dhirana!
Navarasa Katitata Shobhita Vallava Navavraja Yuvati Manovlasa!
Thaka Dhika Tom Taka Tom Taka Dhirana! Kanaka Manimaya Noopura Dharana!
Thaka Dhika Tom Taka Tom Taka Dhirana! Kamalabhavanuta Shashvata CHarana!
Kalpita Kalikalushajvara Mardana Kalinga Nartana Kathita Janaavana!
Maragatha Manimaya Chela! Manmadana Kotisaundarya Vijita Paramananda Govinda Mukunda!"
***Vishakha looked up at the sky. The heavenly mridangists were playing their mridangams to the beat of the Rasa Leela. She also saw the Apsaras dancing. She smirked to herself. Those poor apsaras were dancing in the heavens, when the gopikas were dancing with Krsna Himself! She looked at Radha, who smiled knowingly. The next second Vishakha held a mridangam in her hands. She started playing the mridangam. Taa Dhik! Taa Dhik! She played.
Prabhu, you do understand what Vishakha is trying to convey right? Radha asked mentally.
Well, obviously... she is indirectly saying Taah Dhik! - Those apsaras are unlucky! We are fortunate to have Krsna with us! Krsna conveyed, all with a smile.
And Krsna, Radha continued, it is not only Vishakha. All the gopikas are having that pride in their hearts! Shouldn't we do something?
Krsna nodded. He smiled knowingly at all the cheerful gopikas, and took Radha's hands. He visualised a particular tree in Bhandiravana, and the two dissaparated from the Rasa Mandala.
The gopikas were shocked.
