Episode 416 Discussion: 30th Oct 2013

Welcome to the Episode discussion thread which we call as Viewer's and Reader's Respite. That's very apt, don't you think ? 😉. And that proves our objective.

Objective behind the thread is

It helps in keeping the forum clean without much litter. People just need to fall in a habit.
We can have it like breathers at first followed by analysis.
It also helps like-minded souls and pals bond and gel together to drop in their thoughts for themselves as breathers and for their friends as a peep into the episode and for others to post their reviews.
And those from different time-zones, who do not get to watch the episode at this time of telecast (Indian 8:30 PM), without any worry to trace or keep track of all their buddy's posts, they can come here, read with leisure and later post their analysis after watching it from their Time zones.

Note for Newcomers to this thread.

Extremist thoughts and moralizing thoughts are not welcome over this thread. It is entertainment show we are watching. The channel calls their programs as entertainment and we are watching the show. Discussions are welcome in light hearted and in realistic manner. Moral policing is not appreciated. We do not want to feel stifled into that kind of atmosphere here.

There are several other social welfare sites that are there to discuss the genuine issues. If for some reason, it is felt that social concerns have to be addressed and ethical and moral responsibility needs to be exercised for watching entertainment, then; certainly the forum is an open place to create separate ATs and build up that kind of propaganda.

Please heed to this as direct request and conditional requirement to participate in this thread. Strong words such as psychopaths unless used in show, need not be used to instigate riotous atmosphere or start sermonizing.

POINTERS for Writing/Posting of your reviews and thoughts over this EDT

Do not litter the thread with chit-chat conversations. A little is permitted to have the friendly atmosphere, but when you feel like chatting more, it is desired you take your conversation with your buddies to alternate venues like chat clubs, pm mode etc.
Quoting Policy: It is desired that people refrain from single, double, triple and multiple quoting of posts on a repetitive basis. They can pick out the parts that they like to quote as opposed to quoting the entire post. It is often seen that we have to scroll through the pages when all they have done is quoting and more quoting with one line response to the actual post. IF has a rule that more than three times quoting is not allowed. But nowadays as people read IF posts over phone, it is preferred that people do not quote longer posts and just extract the portions of the post that they like to respond to and if they still find it relevant to their thought process then get the entire quoted text.
Regulate the font size. Keep remembering that. It is really not pleasing to see big bolded letters for no special reason.
The thread becomes a mess when you give your review and do not REST for sometime until others have posted. Please understand, respites or reviews; once or twice are good for few pages...don't make a regular chat thread with your reiterating/whining/complaining on the same point. For the online readers, the thread becomes unpleasant read. There is a separate Complaints thread in Main Forum
When episodic content is emotional, take a deep breath, give a good lengthy review; that acts as your vent in one single post...and make an exit to calm down your nerves if you still are possessed by only what you've seen.

it's just another day in MBland..all forgotten..the bhoot bangla made out of RK mansion, Pabo's threats, KC, narazgi..

there were so many spoilers and news for the stabbing scene , the minutest amount of suspense was killed...

haan, some person was walking, and he kept on walking at the same place till he changed the knife...no, it wasn't any room or isolated place, it was in the presence of the whole unit ! this episode is straight out of "Adalat" ! but i'm not interested in knowing who that person was..now everyone will be shown wearing black shoes ! yawns with the suspense..full 30 mins my baby was guessing "mama is it Madhu's khadoos father?" or Sultan or Pabo or Dipali..she was sad tht RK will die...

what else ? 😕

ah yes ! MC wants junoon in the scene so he asked Madhu to stab RK on the chest and not in the stomach ! junoon in the dream 🥱

Let the rotten tomatoes and eggs begin 🤣. I enjoyed the episode 😆 (it's Diwali week - have too much on my mind to worry about rationality on MBEIEJ. 😆)

"Admit it Pabbho." And "why Pabbho, why?" (with lots of dizzying camera angles to up the drama quotient.) Pabbho warns Madhu not to spill the beans. Madhu, the principled one, says that she wasn't going to. But in turn warns Pabbho to perish the thought of even thinking of separating RM. Awesome! Now just remember your words in the days ahead, Madhu.
At the sets, suspense galore. We have two people (maybe more?) with those black and white sneakers. A nervous looking Simmy, and Sanchita. BTW - Sanchita's prosthetic leg looked mighty natural in the shot.
Banter between RK and MC about killing and villains. Hmmm. Have CVs been reading Leela's posts about MC being the villain?
RK happy to see her (but hiding it.) Sweet how they look at each other when MC says that Karan is annoyed with Anamika.
Nameless and faceless murderer walking. I glimpsed a shiny black-ish belt. So that rules out Sanchita with her kurti. But then Simmy's belt was gold. Suffice to say, I'm quite confused at this stage. Clearly, I'm no Sherlock Holmes.
Madhu is nervous about knifing RK - even though it is a fake knife. RK looks at her, understands her fear (during the rehearsal he did try to relieve her fear.) Later during the actual shot, he takes a backseat letting the director do his job.
Complete suspension of rationality with the knife exchange. I mean, why use a different knife, why would they not test out the new one etc etc. But whatever.
Yikes. The deed is done, RK collapses on the floor. To applause from the crew. Madhu walks away, has a presentiment..RK...

The Precap: Ambulance please. Man on the floor. BTW, I did like that Madhu was the one to ask for the ambulance. Showed that she was thinking on her feet.

ETA: I did love that vintage RK dialogue when Madhu is touching his stomach (after MC "stabs" him) - about his becoming her bacche ka baap.🤣

Madhu n Pabbo confrontation fizzed out with the havan fire as expected! No one is wiser for the exchange.

The scene on sets, sheer waste of time and torture. Why show 3 takes of the scene, when everyone knows RK is going to get stabbed for real. It is not enough that the viewers are tortured with the nivaarans and the rest. They need to go in for the kill. So in the 3rd shot Madhu does the deed. Only one word of advise, woman if you were so nervous about the scene, the least you could do was check if the knife was real or not?I know I would, If I had to pretend to stab my husband. Totally distasteful this latest move by the CVs.

And one more question, that shoe , was it on sale or was it free that almost everyone seems to be spotting a pair of it? I think I even glimpsed a purple T-shirt in one of the shots of the suspects stroll around the studio.

if there was an award for the worst actor, MB will have max nominations..first Bhai, then Pabo and now MC...what does he mean by "saari bhadaas nikal do" 🤢

What is Simmy doing here? and why was she looking for her mom?

why do they have to switch the scenes so fast without putting a closure to the prev. track? let RK come back, let them resolve their differences, let Madhu talk to Radha or whatever, the scene cud be shot the next day? this is the precise reason why they're unable to establish the supporting characters properly..bec. they hardly converse...therez no need to show "drama" everytime" in every episode..and with OTT dramatization, the mundane scenes r anyday better..

i'm sorry for my random bakwas, the episode was worse..Meenu, hats off to u for writing a review..infact, writing a mini update 😆

Meenu, I have the fullest confidence that Mehul will manage to do enough corrosive damage to Madhu and RK even without being the culprit for the knife-switching.😆

Anyway, going by the black leather gloves and matching shoes parade that was going on in the middle of the set, they can throw logic aside and insert any new points to make anyone at all the culprit.

So long as they don't waste Bittuji for shock-factor (they had frigging better not😡), there isn't even one other character in the supporting cast that I would give a damn about the presence, absence, sainthood or villification of.🥱

I had asked on MAT if anyone had noticed even a drop of ketchup or any liquid-red variation on RK's white shirt in the behind-the-scenes.😕
Was confounded when there *were* literally only a few drops as the sum total when that knife was pulled out.
They couldn't even afford a bit of ketchup for a critical stab-wound? What the heck?😕😡
Have the track-deciders/writers lost even a distant acquaintance with logic in their overwhelming urge to inundate every moment of every episode with drama at the cost of any and all sense?🥱

Mehul's story is convincing me in every scene that it would have been a shock if his later films had *not* flopped. He goes on such meandering tangents as if he's doing a serial, not a film. And the general story seems of a calibre that doesn't quite justify his lofty claims of needing the right actors to portray such a story.
And sorry, RK postumously excusing the deceased character didn't matter. Neither does his praising Mehul's inspirational creativity.

And if Madhu is being shown as scared and nervous about knifing RK even with a fake knife, would that not have been better conveyed not by her trembling hand but by her checking the knife after taking it in her hand for the shot?

Instead of so much unnecessary dialogues and camera-focus on the supporting actors, could not something have been written as a distraction at the last minute which would have made Madhu forget about checking the knife, and then she does the shot with that real knife?

Instead, we had the most crowningly unsuspenseful shock-point, and it was neither distressing nor made any sense.
The promo had shown that the knives were switched and RK would be stabbed for real by Madhu.
Was there any point of showing take after take before the actual stabbing, so that it would be even more obvious that Madhu held a knife that she was worried about stabbing with but never - between takes - checked that knife?

And to add to the great uncertainty (really not) of this life-crisis, it has already been announced that Hrithik Roshan will be guesting in the series.
So either the previous track's feat will be repeated in this as well, with RK going straight from being hospitalized with a critical stab-injury to dancing en masse with his wife and the guest-filmstar - which will be a bit more clunk to the track's ocean of clunk but will hopefully at least be nice to watch.
Or Madhu would do the most bizarre unappreciable feat of professionalism and perform with Hrithik while her husband is battling death, with the immediate attachment of depression, misery and blame attached in the most indigestibly backfiring way the writing may manage.
Praying that the CVs don't scapegoat Madhu's image with the latter, and stick with the former because at least the former will be interesting to watch in the scenes where RK and Madhu are both there and Madhu won't get unpleasantly scapegoated. And hopefully the scenes en route will also turn out to be more appealing than has seemed likely from recent episodes.
Ganeshotsav and karva chauth - which were so superbly woven into the story last year - have been presented farcically this year.
Hopefully, this hospital-sojourn episodes will be more in the line of last year's (Madhu unmoved by Dipali) and not of the previous track's (Madhu finally yielding to the antagonist).
If RK also has his brains restored after having been parted from them for several months to make him helpless for entire track durations, that would be awesome as well.😊

Pabho-Madhu drama- kyun CV's kyun??? 🥱
y is mabhu always a garajne wali baadal...y is it that she never takes any action..sullu "woh kaise badal gaya"..Dipali ko maaf kardo give her n no. of chances...n vd Pabho oh its our cute little secret😡😡

Studio scene-well m happy that Bji is not the one who changed the knife..sigh of relief...among sanchita n simmy i think both were made to wear those shoes to confuse us real culprit is someone else!!!
rest of the epi i was😕 coz last time i checked RK was so annoyed at madhu that he wasn't even talking to her..n suddenly when she shows up at d studio he is all normal.. joking vd her...such sudden mutation..did i miss smthing😕

now my only regret is y r CV's in such hurry...ok we dont want u to drag the pabho drama but RK madhu there should be proper closer to their fight..it wouldn't hv hurt if they would hv shown RK coming home husband wife having a talk sort things out makeup n next day they should hv gone for the shoot...

Madhu woke up at 6 in the evening then she put 2 n 2 together had an epiphany that pabho is evil..she decides to confront her... arranges for havan...gets ready vd all makeup n that almost backless blouse..dose the havan-pabho-madhu drama goes to her room..mind it she is sick so must be having some food n rest.. then again she changes n shows up at d studio..there she has rehearsals does the scene..kitna bada din hai bhai khatam hi nahin hota??? n kya energy hai ladki meing Boost ka poora dibba hi khatam kar diya!!!

ETA: RK was stabbed so y wasn't there any blood..chindi PH ke paas ketchup ka paisa nahin tha kya!!!

Madhu and her busy busy day - another routine day in the life of superwoman Madhu. 👏
Alas, I fear that "the show must go on" so we might have Madhu doing her dance, and we will be treated to scenes of her dancing, juxtaposed against those of RK on the ventilator. 🤣

@Bold Exactely my thought, till the last seconds of the episode and since I saw no spoilers, I kept thinking that this won't happen, that she might check the knife even though I saw the promo and got hints about the BTS videos, but still I kept telling myself this won't happen, in my denial mode, I'll even wait to see tomorrow's episode.

Actually I still can't believe Rk will get hurt at least not that way and absolutely not because of Madhu even with Cvs giving as an excuse the fact that Madhu didn't know the knife was a real one, in my romantic vision of their pure and strong relation, I always expect some heavenly intervention to prevent them from hurting each other in this outrageous way! I know Madhu was nervous and restless but I was expecting her to have some kind of sixth sense, to feel strongely that something is wrong, something which some people feel when their loved ones are in danger!!!

🤣MC will be shouting "Nach Madhu, Nach Madhu. Jab tak tere payar chalenge, RK ki saasein chalenge". Bittuji can mouth the dialogue" Bhabhiji in Kutton ke saamne mat nachnaa".😆
