DOTW: MAMTA’S MENTAL TRAUMA

Hey guys

Sree and I were disscusing last night about Mamta and her character...

We were wondering... whats going on with her character???

lets take a little Flashback ride...

a 19 year old village girl decides to be a surrogate mother, her uncle and aunt try to get her married off to some guy who doesnt accept mamta being a sarrogate mother... at the age of 20 leaves her small town to enter an unknown city to find her kid. her instincts tell her that the kid she is taking care of, his her own.. she protects her kid from a woman has has more money and power than her... And yet she fights all odds to save her kid, WITHOUT a man in her life... mean while, the people mamta live with, decides to get mamta married off... but mamta manages to over come that... mamta manages to run away with her kid... and determies to get the truth sorted out... but tanisha agian manages to interfere.. however, mamta takes another strong step and leaves the srivastav house...

next we see, mamta's biggest challenge is tot get her kid's custody, which she again starts fighting alone, but Sid comes as a life saver and helps her out Legally.. Now, even if you are a man or a wman, anyone needs legal advise, so that was not somehting which is different from a her character.. meanwhile mamta perfectly manages Sid's house, takes care of her kid, goes against her own sister to save karan and shaina and manages to clear out whats messed up between her and akshay....later, we see, her living a life as sid's widow and then everyone go her married to akshay, but in this case, akshay and mamta loved each other... things went well.. mamta fought againt sarp dosh, fought for shaina's well being, tired to maintain her dignity when questions were raised for her and sid's relationship... mamta also went against her hsuabdn to prove that arjun is sid, and managed to balance her life with her family and kids...

Now back to the present... mamta is akshay's widow, she again listens to her insticts and fights for akshay's love... she dresses up like a married woman, takes on charge of taking care of the family, doesnt belive that her hubby had another wife, but on human grounds, goes agianst her family to take care of her... but now the manjor down fall happens: - b/c of a few people trying to prove her mentally ill, she gives up and dresses up as a widow, her insticts fail, her strenght fails and she is again for the 5th time, thrown towards another guy...

but here the biggest issue is.. that despite being legally married, mamta's pregnancy is being doubted.. peeople (even strangers) doubt that mamta is carrying akshay's child.... is it mamta's fault? i guess not... she was legally married, and loyal to her hubby.. my question here is: are we being harsh on mamta? or should we sympathize with her? is she being justified if she gets married to sid? or should she spend her life at home in darkness and taking care of her kids... or should she be single and be a corporate woman and take care of the house and the buisness? or give krishu and her new baby's custody to sid and masu and start a new life all together???

if the qstn is .....Is there anything wrong with a widow (with kids)getting married ??nooo is my ans....why can't? yes ofcourse she can if there is a guy who is ready to accept her & her kids..... 😊

but for that... first of all,the girl must be ready for it both mentally & physically.....now the qstn is ...Is Mamta ready for this???ans: is a big noooo

Mamta has been shown more as an independent girl though she has got helps from diff sources many times...it's not that a woman can't live without a man...she can...if she is a strong minded person(Mamta has been shown as a strong minded person)...if she is financially independent(Mamta has got enough money)....she can take care of her kids alone...Masuma & Sid(after getting married) can stay with Mamta if they really want to give her support,right?????....what's the big deal????

here Mamta is not ready for a re-marriage?she just want to live the rest of her life with her kids....and she is quite happy with that.....then why she should be forced to get married??????? 😕 😕 😕

Now the point is , How Helpless and Lonely is Mamta in life, to succumb to the pressure of her family members to marry again?

As Anju said above, Mamta has always been a girl who is very daring, forthright and strong. She agreed to be a surrogate mother at a very tender age, she willingly faced all the hardships that were associated with her being an unwed mother. She fought against all odds, got back the custody of her kid..

Now, Mamta is leading a life of a widow.. She is ready to live with the memory of her husband. She has Krish with her, she is pregnant again. So she has two little gems in her life who will shower all the love she wants..

The most ridiculous plot that is shown these days in this serial is the suspicion whether this kid is Aksahy's or not.. Come on!!! Cant the writers think of anything other than this?? Its not years since Akku got missing. It cannot be more than a month since Akku had that accident. So how can all have a doubt about the kid? And how can unknown people come and question the family about it?

Mamta's character has been reduced to a mere puppet. Thanks to the writers.. Mamta always keeps her mouth shut, disregards whatever is being uttered against her.. How come this sudden change is seen in Mamta? Why cant the writers be consistent? Yes, i do agree that under pressure situations, a person tends to lose balance , can go wrong. But Mamta does not take any action at all, she stands as though she does not have any senses whatsoever, like she has gone numb...

To top it, Mamta does not have a solid reason to marry again.. Yes, agreed she is pregnant, she already has a kid. But isnt she selfsuffiencient , doesnt she have the family property and business ? Cant she think of moving on, taking up all the responsibilities of Akshay (both at home and in office) and lead a contented life? Is marriage really essential for her at this stage? Why should she succumb to all the pressures that are put on her by the family? Is she so helpless? an she not decide for herself?

What i mean to say is that, the reasoning given and shown for Mamta's remarriage is not logical at all. This is not a do or die situation for Mamta, that forces her to marry and move on.. She can have a life for herself even without this marriage..

So i certainly believe that a strong, confident woman like Mamta should not think of remarriage at this stage of her life... 😳
