Episode 411 Discussion: 24th Oct 2013

Welcome to the Episode discussion thread which we call as Viewer's and Reader's Respite. That's very apt, don't you think ? 😉. And that proves our objective.

Objective behind the thread is

It helps in keeping the forum clean without much litter. People just need to fall in a habit.
We can have it like breathers at first followed by analysis.
It also helps like-minded souls and pals bond and gel together to drop in their thoughts for themselves as breathers and for their friends as a peep into the episode and for others to post their reviews.
And those from different time-zones, who do not get to watch the episode at this time of telecast (Indian 8:30 PM), without any worry to trace or keep track of all their buddy's posts, they can come here, read with leisure and later post their analysis after watching it from their Time zones.

Note for Newcomers to this thread.

Extremist thoughts and moralizing thoughts are not welcome over this thread. It is entertainment show we are watching. The channel calls their programs as entertainment and we are watching the show. Discussions are welcome in light hearted and in realistic manner. Moral policing is not appreciated. We do not want to feel stifled into that kind of atmosphere here.

There are several other social welfare sites that are there to discuss the genuine issues. If for some reason, it is felt that social concerns have to be addressed and ethical and moral responsibility needs to be exercised for watching entertainment, then; certainly the forum is an open place to create separate ATs and build up that kind of propaganda.

Please heed to this as direct request and conditional requirement to participate in this thread. Strong words such as psychopaths unless used in show, need not be used to instigate riotous atmosphere or start sermonizing.

POINTERS for Writing/Posting of your reviews and thoughts over this EDT

Do not litter the thread with chit-chat conversations. A little is permitted to have the friendly atmosphere, but when you feel like chatting more, it is desired you take your conversation with your buddies to alternate venues like chat clubs, pm mode etc.
Quoting Policy: It is desired that people refrain from single, double, triple and multiple quoting of posts on a repetitive basis. They can pick out the parts that they like to quote as opposed to quoting the entire post. It is often seen that we have to scroll through the pages when all they have done is quoting and more quoting with one line response to the actual post. IF has a rule that more than three times quoting is not allowed. But nowadays as people read IF posts over phone, it is preferred that people do not quote longer posts and just extract the portions of the post that they like to respond to and if they still find it relevant to their thought process then get the entire quoted text.
Regulate the font size. Keep remembering that. It is really not pleasing to see big bolded letters for no special reason.
The thread becomes a mess when you give your review and do not REST for sometime until others have posted. Please understand, respites or reviews; once or twice are good for few pages...don't make a regular chat thread with your reiterating/whining/complaining on the same point. For the online readers, the thread becomes unpleasant read. There is a separate Complaints thread in Main Forum.
When episodic content is emotional, take a deep breath, give a good lengthy review; that acts as your vent in one single post...and make an exit to calm down your nerves if you still are possessed by only what you've seen.

Weekly TRP trends are below (note: data converted from TVTs to TRPs so that we could have consistent comparison points. This is a rough inexact conversion and may not match to the second decimal place with other estimates due to minor differences in conversion methodology)

Note: Data converted from TVTs to TRPs from week 31 onwards. Does not take into consideration impact of adding new markets at various points. Size of these markets, viewing patterns, demographics, level of digitization etc. of those markets would impact TRPs. Also, hard to judge IPL's exact impact.

The two charts below show: 1) Top 15 shows TRPs and 2) TRP increase/drop for those shows, compared to the week prior. The blue bars on the second chart are the ones that did better, the red are the ones that did worse, and the no bars are the ones that were the same.

Note: this is a rough analysis. Please feel free to point out any holes.

I wanted to get inside the TV screen and box Madhu's ears today 😡 What exactly is her intention? I will fast for my husband's long life even if I have to make his blood burn the whole day with severe stress!

Yes, we get it that you have made a huge sacrifice by agreeing to work in RK's film but do you have to rub it in his face all the time? Won't it be a better way to do karvachauth if you sacrifice your desire to celebrate it this year? To understand the pressures your husband is going through and try to lighten them instead of sulking over not being allowed to celebrate a festival your way?

No, don't blame Radhaji's expectations from you. She didn't give you sargi today morning and hence, freed you from all reasons to be answerable to her.

Thanks RK for being the Right Kameena today. Your stupid, spoilt brat of a wife deserves it 😡

I don't understand why exactly did he ask for double shifts ? 😆 He should be helping Madhu not increasing her problems. Religion and festivals are not something which can be changed A/T likes dislikes. You should respect Madhu's choice RK. Usne toh bola she'll do ur scene so why increasing her problems ? 🤔

And here I come to contradict myself 🤣 I really want this Kameena to stay 😆 I don't want him goody goody but yeah CVs should find a better reason 😉 But still love the Kamina always anyways 😆

@Meenu, the TRPs will rise marginally every week from now on...bec. the build up was happening till now..it'll not drop, i'm assured..

nice thrilling entertaining episode today, specially bec. it had only RM scenes ! and anything with RM in it is pleasing...

@Shruti, thanks for reminding us about the sargi..the other day my MIL told me that even if you don't fast for some reason, you must eat sargi (as a sagan) and perform the pooja...and Radha was being very mean to not give sargi to Madhu, specially when Radha knew that she skipped dinner last night...

RK, itni himaat dikha ke theek nahi kiya baby 🤣 woh bhi KC wale din, biwi ke saath ! my sympathies are with you...decide b/w the pillow wall and the couch soon ! set ke baahar biwi is the boss, if u remember...

I was thinking abt the mehandi part yest...Madhu cud not put mehandi bec. of her shooting...I was almost mad on her for doing this , there was no need to have a detailed design, as a shagun, just a dot is enuf...but i found it very cute that she found a way to get it done & went to RK so fondly...pati aur biwi ka kya KC hai, the whole day they were fighting over the KC !

RK, almost like last yr, lost it when he saw Madhu's mehandi...frm his perspective, he is right, he cannot halt the shooting every alternate day bec. of Madhu's poojas and vrats...Madhu is confident that she can play both the roles perfectly...both are right in their own way...In some situations, where it's not easy or it's not possible to fast, it can be skipped...but Madhu has her reasons to do it & her sentiments are attached to it so therez no further argument...

loved DVD today, they were adorable as RM...👏

and I'm liking Karan and Anamika more and more and more...

Precap, it's a double shift, phir se KC in private... without Radha's 12 AM friends watching..and hopefully the evil witches stay away 🤢 koi nazar utaro RM ki..

ETA Madhu's comment on Radha had me in splits 🤣 bechari woh bhi meri tarah hai..my God ! these 2 saas bahu can drive anyone crazy...

Honestly, Right Kameena is back and this time for all the right reasons. His wife Madhubala is behaving really badly and throwing tantrums like a 7 year old girl. So after a lot of loving, understanding, tolerance, RK is losing it with Madhu.
Madhu promises Rji she will be back for the pooja. Rji still continues her 'tum heroine ho' ratt and is absolutely cold with her.
Despite Madhu being all alone, cornered, today I did not feel sorry for her. She does speak of her dreams of being a simple wife, doing poojas, dressing up for her husband. Sweet but inappropriate since she was the one who jumped into action when noone was expecting her to😆.
RK is annoyed at her mehndi and storms off. madhu is behaving like a stubborn child😡. How can she come and show him her mehndi so excitedly? What did she expect him to do, when the concept of KC does not appeal to him at all. Almost as if she is provoking him.
RK changes the scene to a dinner scene. RK-Madhu have a huge argument when Madhu accuses him of changing the scene on purpose.She vows to do the scene
The scene goes off without a hitch. Madhu does excellently. She pretends to eat, and presumably runs out post the shoot to spit out the food

This is slowly building up, the tension between them. Lot of showbiz couples don't work together because the stress on the sets is too much to handle. Everything becomes too personal.

Thoroughly enjoyed today. Loved RM, but especially RK. The poor man is trapped - the impractical wife, the movie, the money, the career, the stress. He's going to totally lose it one day.

A predictably glum-looking Radhaji manages to look like she has the weight of the world on her shoulders, and refuses to give in to Madhu. Thats right, nothing like a bit of emotional blackmail to get the troops in line, I say.
RK tells Madhu that she cannot straddle her two roles (pardon the pun) effectively. Laying down the gauntlet. Oops. Madhu has that miltant look in her eye.
Madhu remembers scenes from KC past, and resolves to put mehndi on - in a way that doesn't jeopardize the shoot.
RK in the meantime is pissed that Madhu is playing with his film. Lays down the line with Madhu, and also arranges for the vrat to be sabotaged.
Aww... so sad, Madhu puts "Rishab" on her menhdi (remembering the husky passionate "call me Rishab" from SR time. Shiver. 😳) RK predictably has a cow. Its doesn't matter one bit that the mehndi is temporary.
So next step - arranging for a dinner scene. Madhu creatively just saves the food in her mouth, not swallowing it. Good job Madhu. In the mean time, the two are looking daggers at each other.

The Precap: Deja vu. Another double shift on KC. Looking forward to seeing how this unfolds.

ETA: Charu, once the TRPs move consistently (several weeks of upward trend) towards the 2.5 mark - thats when I'll feel like the show is on a real upswing. I don't doubt that it can happen - from what I read about the daily TRP on one day averaging 2.5. The challenge is for the CVs to show consistency - and not just a few episodes per week that are good.

But unnecessary drama is headache

I can understand Madhus point of view -- completely

Can u pls tell me cvs why can't a working woman keep a fast
And why can't a working woman be a good housekeeper

Your ideas are really regressive
Either work or be a housewife

Rk being made to do this only to make things difficult for Madhu
Please cvs --- enough of mahantaaa

It's not difficult to manage both things -- house and profession
Millions of women are doing it

P.S-- someone has to do something drastic about the serial
Otherwise we will be stuck with 0.1 rise and O.1 fall for the whole track
And once u to below 2.0 you rarely come up

As much as RM appealed to me yesterday, today they managed to irritate me in varying degrees. No comments on Rji's gol gappa act, continue the drama. Now its Madhu's turn to act the injured with her monologue on RK n Pabbo's atyachaar and Bechaari Ma's Kashmakash! GOd save us n RK from the hoard of ladies in his house, either they are conniving witches or are drama queens.

Well, who am I defending, he was no less today. I get ur need of the hour and the neccessity to drive some ethical points to ur immature spoilt wife, but isn't all this taking it a little too far. In my opinion,today he was the unprofessional one, using his clout to change scenes to teach his wife a lesson. It was foolish of Madhu to show off her mehandi to an irate husband, but come on its her first KC after a proper wedding with a husband who's finally admitted his love for her. Why can't she have the simple pleasures of life, without him having to compound her problems unreasonably.

Precap; Icing on the cake, now he wants to do a double shift to spite his wife who insists on keeping a fast for him.
