ghav abhi tak nahi bhare..

Chapter 5 :

Slowly and gradually morning time passed and afternoon arrived. It was winter time, so even afternoon time was chilly.

Jodha woke up from her sleep and saw Hameeda sleeping on the other side of Bed. She smiled looking at her Ammi-Jaan.
Yes, she smiled! SHe sometimes expressed her genuine emotions, when she was sure no one saw her, for she feared she would be killed again.

Jodha got up from her bed and went out of her room.
She rarely used to go out in Harem's garden but, today, something inside her made her go there.

She saw all her maids sitting in garden. They were chit-chatting among themselves.
But to Jodha, worldy things and gossips mattered no more.
She knew, Jodha inside her had died long back and that, she is just literally completing her life for Ammi-Jaan.

After the incident, before Jodha could do anything to herself, Hameeda had given her swear to not hurt herself in anyway.
Jodha respected Hameeda alot and she obeyed her with full genuinity.

Jodha tolled around in garden. She saw the colourful smiling flowers and floating butterflies but still she couldnt feel any happiness.
She remebered the time, when experiencing nature and smiling was her most favoutrite part of the day.
Instead, tears rolled down her eyes.

She was unaware that two eyes were watching her from a distance.

Jalal did not have courage to meet Jodha after his serious crime.
But he always wished to comfort Jodha, apologise to her and ask for forgiveness.
Although He had never met Jodha after the crime, he had appointed tight security around her, had given all luxury and facilties to her. He got updated regularly about Jodha from his Special people.

From that day on, He had grown very possessive of Jodha!!! He had seen only Jodha in every Begum he met.
When Ruqaiya talked to him, He imagined her to be Jodha and would smile.
He had grown very vulnerable and fragile from inside.
The crime he did ate him from inside like turmite.

Jodha realised that it was no use to spend time in garden, as it would only make her remember old bitter memories.
She had grown used to loneliness, tears, pain, jerks, rejection, everything.
She moved to go back to her room, when suddenly, even the light smooth sunrays felt heavily bright to her.
Her head throbbed and she couldnt control herself. Her eyes started closing and she lost her balance.

Jalal was watching her from some distance and was shocked to see her fainting.
He ran towards Jodha and caught her on time. All the maids of Jodha were shocked.
They ran to Jodha, but Jalal had already lifted her up. He looked at maids with raging eyes.

He brought Jodha to room and Hameeda suddenly got up listening to voices made by Bandhis.
She saw Jalal carrying Jodha and her eyes fumed.
But for her, Jodha was most important.

She immediately got up and asked the maids - Jodha ko kya hua? Aur ye ...Ye Jalal yahan kya kar rahe hain..?Tum sab kahan thi (She almost shouted)

Jalal immediately put down Jodha on bed and said in a very low yet serious tone - Jodha Begum bahar...

Hameeda stopped him in between and said - Jodha ka naam mat lijiye apni zabaan se..
Aur aaj aapne inhe choo liya, dobara aisi gustakhi mat kijiyega..Hum bardaasht nahi kar payenge!
Hum Jodha ka khayal rakh lenge, Aap yahan se jaa sakte hain. Bahut zaruri kaam honge aapko..
Hum aapko yaad dila dein ke Aapko chahne wale log Mahal ke us taraf rehte hain...
Jaiye!!!

Jalal was pissed off, but he couldnt help it. He slowly moved out of the room but he was damn worried about Jodha.
The whole month after the incident.. had left him with a hollow inside.
Each night had been terrifying, mocking at him hysterically.
Each night, his hatred for Jodha had turned gradually into Love.
Only after hurting her so deeply, and yet not getting any response, made him fell in love with Jodha.

He wanted to get punished by her, get slapped by her, get killed by her.
But, he could not open up his feelings to anyone.
Ruqaiya always seduced him and tried to be close to him, But he was always lost in his repent.
He would smile when Ruqaiya was around,as she tried to comfort him for his guilt.

Yes, Ruqaiya had realised that Jalal was always lost in his thoughts, in his crime.
SHe always behaved proudly in front of everyone, so as to rule them.
But to Jalal, She tried to say yes in his yes, and no in his no, so as to keep him under her control. She knew that She would have to do something about Jodha very soon, otherwise She might lose Jalal.

*Back to Jodha's room*

Doctors examined Jodha and smiled their heart out.

Hameeda looked at them with utter perplexion and asked- Aap kyon muskura rahi hain Hakim Sahiba? Humein Bataiye Jodha Beta
ko kya hua hai? Kahin koi gambhir baat to nahi..

Hakim - Fikar ki koi baat nahi hai Mariam-Makani, Mubarak ho!! Aap Dadi-Jaan banne wali hai!! Mubarak ho..Jodha Begum maa banne wali hai..

Hameeda's expressions changed. A broad smile came across her face. Her happiness knew no bounds.
She hugged Hakim Sahiba in her happiness.

She asked again - Kya kaha aapne? Phir se kahiye..

Hakim - Haan Mallika!! Jodha Begum maa bane wali hain.. Mubarak ho..

SUdeenly Hameeda turned serious.. She knew why Jodha was pregnant...She said to everyone in the room - Khabardaar jo yeh baat is kaksh ke bahar gayi to..
Ye baat kisi ko nahi pata chalni chaiye.Jalal ko bhi Nahi.. Hum pehle Jodha se baat karenge!!
Ye humara Hukm hai aur iski Tameel ki jaaye.

The hakims and maids saluted her and left the room.

Hameeda caressed Jodha's Head and tears rolled down her eyes.
