they do it in our wedding.. almost like 3 times... but no such ego drama.. its a part of wedding.. infact even the bride's feet is washed by her own parents.. they say that during the wedding the bride and groom are as pure as god and goddess and they are sacredly treated..

yaaa but that tradition i in our south indians i dont know it is in maharastrian tradition tooo but yesss in weddings os our south indians especially in ap we have that tradition father of bride will wash grooms feet and gives her hand into his😃😃😃😃😃

I think traditions and ritual should be left a side . Bur reality is still there are many rituals in different communities . Washing the feet of groom have heard in many communities . I find this show is more real to life with its characters .

City don't about other religion customs...but

The ritual of washing damat feet in done in Andhra. It's called kanaya dhan.

I am glad Astha finally got the guts to say no to such a misogynistic ritual, in fact, if its true that bride and groom are true Lakshmi and Vishnu avtars , then the couple's feet should be washed by the grooms family too...
