Hello friends!!! I see we have a lot of brain storming sessions concerning the elephant track...and..why jalal would need MP's help? We shall come to that later...before that lets talk about jalal...

When was the last time you have seen a man sportingly accept his defeat in a game of chess?He goes one step ahead and appreciates her...why? Because he is a man supremely secure of himself...he is not mired with insecurity...isn't it remarkable?

He had no qualms in appreciating his doe-eyed begum's swordwo-manship...how rare? Even in modern times...how easy is it for a man to appreciate a woman especially in something which is to be believed as his forte?? Shehensha does that with ease...he has the eye to appreciate talent and rise above petty differences to acknowledge it...

He was all praises for a soldier who hurt him during the swords practising session...any other king would have probably executed him...

The hallmark of a great ruler is not just his ability with sword (which he has tons and loads)..but...the unique quality to see any situation with a broader vision, apply his wits and wisdom in the most uncomfortable circumstances...to make practical decisions not the emotional ones...jalal has all these qualities and more...he was able to rule Hindustan because of his tacts and great support by his shamsheer...Had he been on the slashing and cutting mission...he would have been just a ruler..but..we all know that it's not the case...

Handling the elephant- I am sure it won't be something like MP giving him instruction...It will be jalal who will handle his elephant...i think..it will be more like mp chipping in some moment...that's it...let's wait for it...

yup thts true. whtever maybe the situation he had always openly appreciated jodha's talents & its not easy for a man, at least in those times, to do tht. so maybe he will openly appreciate MP as well & tht will show jalal's greatness. gud point dear. 👍🏼

Relax yar..it won't be like MP will be there with "how to handle elephant" guide...he might chip in with shehensha sambhaal kar dekhiye Aapke piche sort of thing...lets wait for the epi...😊

A great human is someone who can appreciate others abilities and acknowledge them

Jalal knows he can sword fight, aim arrow, ride horse, tame elephant better than anyone in this world. Jalal may be an expert in chess in reality because he is so great at handling his kingdom.

Yet he appreciates others who do well to encourage them. No ego no jealousy no anger at losing that means he is supremely confident of himself that when time requires he can do all these better than the best.

A great ruler is someone who can recognise others talent and give them appropriate roles.

And a ruler rules by creating fear of law in people's mind and by taking care of their needs. In modern terms its called carrot and stick policy. Jalal knows how to do that.

A great ruler will create fear in mind of enemies so they will think hundred times before attacking his kingdom and people. Jalal knows how to do that too. He will create fear in mind of everyone about himself and do that willingly even at risk of spoiling his reputation. Because of that fear his citizens will be safe. He knows Mughal kingdom is not attacked because of his fearsome reputation although he is not really ruthless as potrayed by enemies. But only his close family know his true nature no one else.

Regarding him being a modern man in thinking his abolition of sati, making only one marriage as rule, window remarriage, revenue system etc means he was always modern in thinking much ahead of his times. This may be because all his family is girls hardly any men in his family from childhood mother, aunty, step mom, sister, cousin sis, wife. So he is more open to sharing credit with others and giving woman equal rights be it a wife, daughter, sister or mother.

And only a good human can love his animals like family and treat them like family like how Jalal does. We assume in 21st century modern homes in US/UK they treat pets like family. But here is Jalal in 16th century who treats his pet on par with his family

Jalal is a perfect exxample of a great ruler- in modern times a great President/CEO may be

So well said...look at the people in recent time...it rip their guts apart to appreciate any one...and..here is a man, the shehensha of hindustan with no such hang ups...and...one can have such attitude only when he knows he is capable and is confident...har jung talwaar se nai jiti jaati...dimag ki dhar bhi Kuch hoti...And, an able ruler will have the eye to see what is hidden from others...like someone's talent, inhibitions, hatred, anger etc...

Precisely...he is shown to understand the importance of a small soldier in his army...that's why I said...let's not get worked up with elephant handling issue...it will be another incident where we will see that he has it in him to appreciate someone who is a sworn enemy...how rare...??how good to see..
