FF: Unspoken part 30

Khushi had a heavy heart yet again and to alleviate some of her thoughts about Arnav, she spent her time in the garden in the front yard. She tended them with the best of care so as not to accidently cut off any petals from the assorted flowers. She straightened her sore back when a little common village boy came running up to her.

"Bhabhi, someone is asking for you," the little boy moved from one foot to the other, as if eager to run off back to his play.

Khushi furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. Who could it have been? "Who is it?" She asked in hopes that he would have a name for her but he shrugged his shoulders. "He's just a man by one of the shops. He says there's a problem with an order you made."

Khushi racked her mind for a flashback of when she made a specific order but nothing came up. She sent the little boy off since he wasn't much help to her. She turned her head once towards the house and wondered if she should tell Avni that she was going to the marketplace but decided against it.

She unwrapped her dupatta from around her waist and threw it around her head. She began to hesitate when she got to the marketplace from seeing so many people present; hastily walking by from one store to the next.

She looked around at first; anticipating to see a man who may call for her but it was really impossible to even notice anyone in the crowd. She began to walk along with others with her dupatta drawn close to her face so that she may avoid any attention when she felt a steel hold around her wrist. She gasped from the crushing pain before she looked up and her eyes widened to see a large man next to her.

"Do not look at me, do not look at anyone - just continue walking. If a single sound comes out of your mouth, I will not hesitate to silence you forever," he said through gritted teeth without even looking down at her.

Khushi was suddenly put in the greatest terror that she'd ever felt. When she tried to slightly twist her wrist, his hands continued up her arm where he was holding it so tight, she was sure the blood had stopped flowing.

He roughly pulled her in between two shops and brought her along to the back of one shop where he smacked her back against the concrete wall and his arm covered her chest. "And you thought you can just hide forever?" He asked with a sneer on his face.

Her face blanched as she suddenly understood who he was. A Sadasyan. They'd finally found her, but how?

"Let me go!" She began to yell when she felt something at her stomach then travelling up her body. Her lips quivered and her eyes pooled with heavy tears that took no time to spill. Her breathing came short when she finally saw what she expected. A gun. That too resting right by her cheek.

"Please," she begged through short breaths but he only intimidated her more by pressing it further into her face. She bit down hard on her bottom lip to control herself otherwise she would have been wailing from absolute horror.

"Are you going to follow the rules?" He asked and even brought his face close to which she roughly turned her head away.

He grabbed her upper-waist making her stomach lurch. "The more you comply, the easier it'll be. Do as I say or else I will tarnish your innocence so badly, you won't want to live another second." To show her he wasn't bluffing, his hand rode up until it grabbed one of her breasts and she pressed her lips together to muffle her cries. Her hands desperately clung onto the sides of her kameez and she tried to push herself back to the wall as much as she could but she was already plastered against it. Unable to handle the sick torment, she bashed the side of her head against the wall to feel any pain that would take her attention off his grazing hands.

"Now move," he spat and grabbed her upper arm before hauling her away. He was right; he had already violated her so much she wanted imminent death. Her heart screamed for Arnav's name but Arnav himself was nowhere around.

*

The little boy who'd sent the message earlier continued to peak past the corner of the farthest shop and cried as he watched Khushi being taken away. He didn't know he threw her into the hands of the enemy. He was suddenly scared for his life along with hers.

*

"Khushi," Avni called from inside but got no reply. She put down the clothes she was folding and went out front but came up short. Heading back inside, she looked through every room and Khushi wasn't in sight.

She walked back outside and past the gate in search for Adi. Perhaps he knew what happened to her. She caught a couple kids running around with smiles on their faces and stopped them in the middle of their chase game. "Have any of you seen Arnav's wife?"

"You mean Khushi didi? I saw her going towards the marketplace," one of them explained while the other impatiently waited for his friend to get back to their game. Avni smiled at the two and nodded. She sent them off and went back home. As long as she knew where the rest of the family was, she was at ease. But not for long...

Her concern turned into extreme anxiousness when Khushi didn't return for lunch. Three hours had passed and she suddenly had a bad feeling. What if something happened to her?

She collected the front of her sari in her hand and hurriedly walked past the houses to find Adi first. She grabbed his hand and pulled him away from his hands to take him with her.

"Ammi!" He whined and harshly pulled his hand away.

"Aditya!" She scolded and looked down at him angrily. "Khushi hasn't come home yet! We need to find her! If something's happened, then we need to know. God knows what Arnav would do - not just to us, but to the whole village." She said the last part more to herself than Adi.

They walked through the market that wasn't as crowded at that time of day and asked a few passing people but they all gave her a negative answer. She wrung her hands together as worry was starting to eat her up.

"Adi go ask your friends!" She sent him off and glanced at every face she could to see if it was Khushi.

Her eyes fell on Adi who'd walked up to a boy a couple years older than him who had his knees pulled up to his chest by a tree.

She walked to them and heard Adi starting the conversation.

"Arre Raju! Have the other guys thrown you out of their group?"

Raju stood erect when he saw Avni walking right towards him. He swallowed the lump in his throat and tried to blink away at the guilty tears that were quickly forming in his eyes.

"Raju have you seen Khushi?" Avni got right to the question and her face fell when he started muttering incoherent words then completely broke down in front of her.

Avni kneeled down by him, trying to support his shoulders up so he could talk to her. "Raju tell me! What happened? Do you know where she is?"

"They tricked me! A man sent me after bhabhi and then he took her away!" He stuttered but Avni caught his words. Her heart fell to the ground as did her jaw.

"What man? Was it a Sadasyan?" She licked at her dry lips that wouldn't seem to remain moisturized. She closed her eyes shut when he nodded his head.

"Please aunty don't tell Arnav bhaiyya! He'll punish me badly!" He begged her with his hands folded in front of him. Avni held his little hands between her. "You should have told me right away!" She said through clenched teeth because a part of her was angry with the boy. But then the other part of her understood his fear. Of course he was scared - of Arnav.

"I'll take care of it. Go home now," she got up and grabbed Adi's hand and tried to walk with her shaking legs. She made it to Dev's house, knocking loudly on the door. He opened it and at first gave an unimpressed look at Avni for her rude method of call but once she threw her words at him, he shook his head in disbelief.

Everything after that was a blur. People started running around as they hastily worked for a solution. Avni argued for Dev to let her come along but he always denied, telling her that she had to stay back. One main reason was to take care of her child who seemed so shaken and scared of the situation.

Two people were sent in a car to get to Arnav as soon as possible and Dev himself took another car to head to Sadasya. Alas, the war that they had always feared for was near. The treaty was about to break; setting the gates of hell loose.

*

She stood face to face with the father of the land - Surya. He certainly did not seem pleased with his extremely deep furrowed eyebrows and his clenched jaw. He stood in the centre of his foyer while his wife stood behind him. Khushi noticed the worried looks Madhu threw her way but she knew sympathy was going to do her no good at this point.

"You have disgraced the very title of a Sadasyan. You have disgraced father, your mother, and most of all, you have disgraced me. You ought to be ashamed of yourself. You actually subsisted in the land of the greedy over the land of loyal members. This was your family! But you turned your back on everyone. You have truly committed a bigger crime than Sonam." Surya's leveled but stern tone sent shivers through Khushi. She was so frightened that she couldn't even directly look into his eyes because she knew they were probably burning with fire, as was his heart.

"I had to leave, I was -"

"KHABARDAR! You do not have any right to speak!" He roared with such intensity, she cringed in her spot.

*

"Garima! Garima!" A woman relentlessly repeated as she ran with all her might to her friend's house. She slapped her hand against the door until it opened and she steadied herself against the doorframe.

"Santosh? What happened?" Garima tried to help her friend inside but she put her hand up to stop her.

"Garima, Khushi's back," she said breathlessly and Garima froze in her spot. The color drained out of her face and her heart started to beat so rapidly within her chest that she felt the pulse in her ears. Her daughter was back. Her only child that she loved so dearly and whom she cried for so bitterly was back but she knew it wasn't going to be a happy return home.

"What's going on?" She heard Shashi's voice - as if distant but really he was just behind her. She slowly turned around to face him and blinked to get rid of the black dots that were appearing in her vision but they were only getting worse.

"Khushi," she whispered and then darkness completely took over. She had fallen unconscious.

*

*Four Hours Later *

Vikram and Nikhil got out of the car and walked around the rented apartment buildings in search of the jeeps that would look familiar to them. Spotting the four that were right next to each other, they ran up the stairs and knocked on every apartment door until one door opened by Maneesh.

"What the hell are you guys doing here?" He asked bewildered but they ignored his question by pushing him aside and calling for Arnav who came out of the bathroom with a towel to dry his hands.

"What are you doing here?" He asked with a million possible reasons running through his mind, but never what he was about to hear.

"Khushi bhabhi has been kidnapped to Sadasya."

He felt tremors take over his body and his hands shook violently. Akash was by his side in seconds as were the others but he didn't need moral support in that moment. He was driven on rage and the faces of his father and Khushi both flashed before his eyes. They had already ruined his life by killing his father, so even the thought that they'd laid a finger on Khushi drove him the definitive declaration that someone was going to be a dead man that night and he was going to make sure that it was going to be Surya.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hi friends! Hope I made this part intense enough! haha. Ok so the next part will be the face-off. There'll be a big confrontation between Arnav and Surya and the big surprise.
Just one clarification because I think it came up as a question. So I did explain this before, but no problem, I'll do it again. :) So the Sadasyans are not after Sonam because everyone from the village knows that she got married to an Amit Sravnan. She was also exiled so in that case, they wouldn't care to go after her. But Khushi's case is different. For the past few months, they have been unaware that she was living on Amit Sravna. If you remember, they were searching for her at one point because she just randomly ran away and they didn't know where to. Eventually, they came to terms that perhaps she did die or whatever so the search stopped. And then little bas***d Vijay opened his trap. lol. Hope that helps! *They don't yet know she is THE laird's wife. haha. Arnav will make sure to reveal that himself. 😉
Gah! Sorry for such a long note! Hope ya'll like it! I appreciate every comment from the last update so thank you! Ya'll are really the best! 🤗
